  • 2pac is alive! 0:20

  • Three more years...

  • Fair enough. I will be at my son's grad parade at CFSCE in 2010. If I give you the time will you be there? If I am a big bull shitter you have nothing to worry about. Put up or shut up. WILL YOU BE THERE?

  • @cf80to01 10 months and no response lol

  • @IAmThe1337zor Yeah... typical for a troll. Tough as nails when they are in moms' basement eating cheesie poofs and drinking Dr Pepper waiting for her to drive them to their next shift at the drive through.

  • @cf80to01 For serving 21 years you show a lot of disrespect... don’t you remember anything the forces teach us?? It’s really disgraceful knowing that someone like you, most likely would have been a NCO, would talk that way on a website for all to see. You'r the kind of person that gives us a bad image...

  • @Canada123kid How exactly did I give "us" a bad image?

  • @cf80to01 Because when other people read your comments and see that you were in the military, it seconds their thoughts that men from the army, like myself, act in such a way. If your going to be telling everyone you were with the Forces then do so, but do it in a way that shows what true soilders are like.

Secondly, the Primary Res Force does recive the same amount of training, and is well funded, infact they do a lot of training with the full time guys and get paid more for BMQ....

  • @Canada123kid I still am not quite sure what you are alluding to. If my comments to a troll seem harsh to you, I can't help that. I wore the uniform from age 17 till I was pensioned off. When I soldiered we did not take a bitch slap (verbal or otherwise) from anyone without responding in kind.

As for the Reserves comment..... you bullshit your friends and I'll bullshit mine, but let's not bullshit each other. The Reserves are woefully underfunded, undermanned and undertrained.

  • How about we go private on this? My son graduates from CFSCE in a couple of months. I will be there for the graduation. Want to meet?

  • It doesn't make sense? You said you contacted a Government agency because I was non-governmental and you wanted me "outed". Give me the name of the agency you contacted and I will provide them my name, service number and security level when I retired. Put up.... or shut up.

  • I am still waiting to hear from the "agency" you contacted regarding my false service time. Either you lied or they told you that you were a liar..... either way.... you are a liar.

  • I am still waiting for the (fill in the blank) organization you called to contact me. There are two reasons why your statements are both sad and pathetic..... I have served, and even if I had not, no one in the youtube world cares either way. The long and short of it is that you got your panties in a bunch because you don't know quite as much about the military as you thought you did. Calm down, and walk down to the recruiting centre..... you too could(possibly) be a soldier.

  • Sorry.... I forgot to add (just to be polite), go fuck yourself!

  • "there is"what? Someone to report me to? There isn't, and if there were, you would look like an ass, since I served. Why do you suppose my name is CF80to01..... Canadian (Armed) Forces 1980 to 2001. Your argument makes no sense. I served, you didn't, you bore me. End of argument. Go troll someone else.

  • Well, the truly sad thing my little friend is that you have just outed yourself as the liar in our little argument. There is no one to report my IP address to..... no one cares. I HAVE served in the CF. You have no facts, you are wrong and you are such a coward you can not admit it. If you know more about the CF than me, where and when did YOU serve? (Your moms basement does NOT count)

  • My name is irrelevant. I served in the Reg force for 21 years. I was retired after an injury I recieved in Bosnia. You can rant and rave all you want, but the fact is the Canadian Forces in general and the Reserves in particular do not get the financial support they need. Also, I should mention that injured members of the CF do not get the support they need and deserve from the DVA.

  • You are right. I meant that the US MArines are not as well equipped as the US Army. The Haitian military is better equipped than the Canadian Reserves.

  • That is simply complete and utter BS. The US Marines are a well trained (though not as well equipped) fighting force, on par with any other NATO amphibious force. Bear in mind that Canada has NO equivalent amphibious force (though the CF is currently in the process of developing one). The Canadian Militia does NOT get anything near the same level of training.

  • Lol the Canadian Militia gets 95%+ Identical training to the Canadian Reg Force. Just a note.

  • No they do not. The Canadian Militia is underequipped, underfunded and undertrained. Do not take that to mean I think they deserve to be, they don't.

  • Underequipped and Underfunded Yes..........Let me put it this way. They are trained in the same WAY as the reg force, they just do not have the TIME to practice (or train if you will) as often. Reservists as Individuals have the opportunity to receive the same training if they'd like. In some cases, their training is even better because of the time limits. Same amount of info, just more fast, more furious. All depending on which Unit it happens to be.

  • Again, I would disagree. Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to disparage the Reserves. I respect everyone willing to put one the Cadpat, which is why I believe the training needs to improve for the Reserves. Consider this..... the Reserves are not given the resources to train to the same standard as the Reg's.

  • The reasoning for my argument is that I have spent time training in the Reserve Force AND the Regular Force army. I see what happens and what doesn't.

  • The reasoning for my argument is that I have spent 21 years in the Regular Force. Of that 21 years I spent a considerable amount doing ATI's at Reserve units, maintaining equipment in Aldershot, N.S., volunteering my time with Reserve units in Halifax, N.S. (Comm Sqn & Svc Bn) and supporting Reserve Artillery units in Ontario. I saw what happens and what doesn't. Unless there has been some serious improvement in the last few years, I would say the Reserves are still being hard done by the Gov't.

  • undertrained my ass

thats why CF is one of the best trained in the world?

CF's recce equipment is top notch, some equipment even the US doesnt have

go learn something about the military before making yourself look like an idiot

    hollyy

  • First of all, I said the "Canadian Militia does NOT get anything near the same level of training". I didn't say anything about the Regs, except that they are in the process of developing an amphibious force.

I think I am in a position to speak about the CF since I spent 21 years in uniform. You?

  • LOL show this to fox news

  • wudnt it just be the best ad for a FILM

  • Hi this is one of the most inspiring commercials and is their an CF Airforce base in Ontario Canada?

  • CFB Trenton, on Lake Ontario about an hour west of Kingston.

  • thanx! just wondering! never knew that and active AFB was near my house! i live near kingston road! acctually my main intersection is Iglinton Avenue East.

  • RESCUE

  • I'm enlisting in the United States Marine Corps, and I find these Canadian ads, particularly the drug bust one, to be really cool. I think the lack of voices gives it a more awe inspiring and heroic quality than many of the American commercials. Except of course, the Marine commercials. ;)

  • the marine corps? boy are you in for a rough ride...

  • u want to be a marine... and you find our commercials cool? come on man, ive seen ur commercials, and they're way better, they talk about esprit de corps, and teamwork and try to motivate you, ours show search and rescue guys helping civvies.... wish there was a little more action...

  • @GreatByss LOL NICE

  • @GreatByss Good luck man ,But i guess your already in. How is it?

    im enlisting for Canadian Infantry.

  • @GreatByss

I find that most of the US military commercials seem like a massive lie.

They portray war to be something heroic and fun. They give it an almost hollywood look.

    They show a lie.

  • Man these commercials are so awesome.

  • I want to be a Rescue Technicians ^^

  • Great ad, You mention Air Force, Army and Canadian Rangers but the credit goes to the Search and Rescue Technicians here or SAR TECHS. They're the guys in Red parachuting down to the crash scene to administer Emergency Medical Care. "THAT OTHERS MAY LIVE"

  • are they also referred to sometimes as PJ's? i recall reading that somewhere

anyways, thanks for posting this video up, i really like it, especially the fact that the Canadian Rangers are included, as far as i know they don't get alot of coverage/publicity

  • Never heard of SARTECHs called PJ's, but there was something years ago, about them being called (?) jumpers. Maybe I'm thinking of a U.S. reference. Excellent video. I know a few of the survivors of the C-130 crash near CFS Alert, on the northern tip of Ellesmere Island back in the 90's. The SARTECHs jumped into a winter storm in the high arctic, and kept the survivors alive. They made a movie about it with Richard Chamberlin - the stuff of legend.
