@Ceminon They are actually a band that promotes environmental protection/saving the planet and living "straight edge" lives, which basically means being completely free from alcohol and drugs of any kind, even including nicotine/caffeine. So basically you're fake and gay!
lol yeah....come try that militant crap with me and my friends. ill beat the shit out of you straight edgers...like i always have. trust fund rich kids trying to mosh, take that shit somewhere else. anytime you homo's wanna dance, bring it.
@BINGERZallday IN 04 THEY GOT SUED BY THEIR INSURANCE CARRIER FOR $2 MILLION... NO US INSURANCE WILL TAKE THE RISK OF COVERING THEM SO NOW THEY PUT ON HELLFEST IN EUROPE.
@tolebastard They are still alive and well. They are writing a new album as you read this actually. They played a home show in syracuse this past march. It was off the wall. Cannot wait for their new album!
I drove 7 hrs from MI to this show(hellfest 2001). Me and my brother decided to take the first half of the final day to go tour NYC. When we got back, Candiria was on stage but the fascist security were not letting people reenter the building....wtf?!
We paid our $30 for a 3 day pass, but I guess security doesn't know what a "pass" is. I was pretty peeved at the time, kinda over it now...
@michaelz6366 true hardcore is still around, ie Reign Supreme, Trapped Under Ice are 2 great newer bands, same with Since the Flood... but it's definitely not what it used to be, remember Cold as Life?? Sickest band ever, or E town Concrete!!!
@LazNeedsABand lol yea man i remember both those bands great bands. yea ill agree there is still alot of good bands coming out it just seems the scene where im from is dead and im from long island ny and that just makes it that much more depressing
Amazing show!! I was there and loved every second of it.. It was like 150 degrees in that room when EC took the stage and even the 20+ people who were carried out for heat exhaustion loved their set... AMAZING!!
fuck you you fukn scrubb...who the fuck cares about if minorities are there or not. Its about who like s the music. And if you knew ANYTHING about these guys or any thing of the scene at that time no onne/nothing was about race. But the again youre prob some piecve of shit that listens to rap and gayness anyway, eat a dickup and hickup you fukn scrubb
@omarx138....Exactly,great comment. Youre the mongaloid that brought race up...you have no comeback at all and you keep talking about race......Stop diverting the issue at hand(which is no one at that time in that scene gave a fuck what color you were) with stupid remarks about my race you dumb jerkoff....Reply back when you have something smart to say
@omarx138 this furthers my arguement about two things. 1- its bullshit that only white people can be convicted of rascism or hate crimes, when CLEARLY ignorance brands many, white or black. 2- its people like you, that think this way and say these types of things that divided the true unerground hardcore scene, and plagued it with bands like bmth and the devil wears prada.its not about anything more than a bunch of throw away kids coming together, lookin for something to believe in.and having family.
Could have something to do with the fact that Karl actually wanted to get through the song for once in his life, since he thought it was going to be the last time ever performing it... or it could have been because it was 500 degrees in there and being crowded by people made it so much hotter. There was about 3 inches of liquid on the floor from people's sweat... people were slip n' sliding in it at the end ...gross.
I don't respect people who are straight edge as much as I respect people who enjoy a sober lifestyle without adhering to some label. It's just another identity....when you add the group mentality to straight edge it would often lead to violence. Anger and hatred destroys more lives than drugs ever will.
i used to drink and shit, and here in belgium kids start drinking at the age of 11 and the police/governement doesn't give a f*ck . what i'm trying to say is: those people who turn their back on the edge on 21 weren't really edge, just posers
agreed. that haven't experienced all the bullshit that drinking and drugs cause. I used to drink and occasionally smoke but I have learned from my mistakes
im 28 former drug addict who still loves weed and eats meat and is prochoice, but ive bin an eXc fan for 15 yrs, and ive seen them numerous times and was never offended by the message. i saw them a cuple days ago with VOD, and those dudes were boozin it up so to each his own who gives a fuck if they wanna b drug free, they created the dropped d hardcore style, or at least perfectd it. i jus got their new album to the end, and its ill. they r much more metal now, but its still ill. fuck ignorance
No, this is a 35 year old youth worker who lives in my own home. Also 1. Is not referring to someone as a"faggot bitch" (mjt910) homophobic or at the very least a display of great ignorance.
2. Why straight egde? Why not just someone one who chooses not to pollute your body with intoxicants. Like you I choose not to drink, smoke of do illicit drugs, also and I listen to hardcore. Do I label myself straight edge? What for?
