  • BA-BUY...

  • Holy shit that was crazy!

  • I dind't believe in monsters UNTIL now! OMFG

  • Hearing these in person will give u wood no doubt.

  • awesome car

  • wait that thing is STREET LEGAL??!?!!? 0.o

  • @PetrolDemon Lol, no Pro Street doesn't encompass the street legality of the cars anymore. Its Pro Mod with extra weight and a few other restrictions. If you want to see a bad street car, look up Randy Larson's Chevy II, it's street legal and in the 6's.

  • Dam!!!!

  • haha this guy announces at famoso too

  • i want 1 :)

  • someone spent an enormous amount of time sanding that car...makes my forearms ache just thinking about it, razor sharp reflections though

  • i absolutely love this video that black one at the start, imagine someone shouted abuse should you actually have that car in reality and then it reverses with those fat ass tyres, not even a boy racer would be stupid enough to duel you, then again every boy racer i have come across has as much i.q. as a bowl of potato salad

  • is that drag strip slightly down hill? ad a second on those times for flat

  • Wheres that at??

  • @Bryanwearsprada694

    It's Las Vegas Motor Speedway

  • @DragRacingTV Ok thanks.

  • @DragRacingTV at the start the doorslammer that tears away then reverses what vehicles is that once? make and model? thanks.

  • @R4MMV8SRT10 The blue car? It's a 2001 Chevy Camaro

  • @DragRacingTV no the black one

  • @R4MMV8SRT10 That belongs to Kurt Wilmes, it's a '68 Firebird G-Force chassis

  • @DragRacingTV oh ok i could tell caulse th mountains lol someone could just park down at the road at the end of the track and watch

  • I love drag racing and would love to see the serious stuff in U,S ,A

Ok, Australian Drag racing aint bad,but not quiet in the same league.

Here, all our Doorslammers are blown ,but it seems in the US you have different Door Slammer catergories , am i correct?

Anyway the sound is awesome at the Christmas tree, when they rev the SHIT out of these Monsters

  • how much does an automobile like this cost? Think I can get one on Craig's List?

  • thnks

  • Nice video. What video recorder are ya using ?

    ww wdotbill gassdotcom

  • 6 sec at 231Mph...

    Holy Shit...

  • This car is beastly power but he probably loses tons of that horsepower on slippage of tires at racing down that strip...even after tires hot and sticky more so for the track not the tires fault. Same thing happens with tractor pulls BIG TIME.

  • @deltaalpha21074 well really and truely these types of cars rely heavily on tire slippage to get down the track. the motors makes more power than one can rightfully use so you apply as much power to the ground as possible by adjusting tire spin in your suspension tune and clutch slippage. we typically see about a 2-6% slippage rate in this type of application

  • That's pretty impressive.

  • i couldnt imagine going so fast so quickly these guys got fatty balls haha.

  • I'd drive that to Walmart

  • Pro mods fucking rock

  • Imagine the cameraman what he has to keep up with lol

  • Sweet Vid!!

  • i misss drag racing so much.

  • @mixedbreed1282, damn straight lol

  • wow holy shit

  • Its so nice to be racing in Vegas!!!!

  • sweet car

  • 6.17 suck on that import bitches

  • @mixedbreed1282 calm down, we dont want any hurt feelings, haha

  • yup it's sure is...

  • high tech my ass we lick our fingers and run our blown stuff by weather, although we are putting a computer into our new vette which is coming out in 2011

  • is that track down hill?

  • no jap shit here!

  • @meirace What is wrong with Japanese seems everybody buys and drives Japanese why why why??? reliability of course American is great to for trucks and big horsepower but Japanese machined say a 800cu in. engine to the tight tolerances and it was made of strongest metals and instead of all the slippage that the BIG PRO teams do on those big slicks it would top 350 MPH.. big deal PT A to B real thrilling even if I did it and made millions $.

  • yes yes very

    good

  • talk about being evicted now thats moving out 6:17's put that in a volkswagon

  • lol

  • A few yrs ago they did have a pro mod based class that did run nitro but I think that series came and gone....

  • Maybe you are talking about the nitro coupe class an I think that thet still run that class

  • NHRA is sanctioning the Pro Mods for next season (2010). They will run at 10 of the 23 national events next year. Wally's, points, money, season championship, just like the 4 other pro classes.

  • very cool they need some air time on the lower classes also more than there getting now espn 2 has them but of corse not enough....

  • It would be nice to see NHRA support Pro Mod. It's by far one of the most interesting classes out there and I would love to watch them compete. I race pro bracket and am thinking of making the step to Super Street but I'm not crazy about adding the electronics to be competitive.

  • Can you tell me if this is actually true? Or show me where you got this information?

  • Nice.

  • hey people there is a guy named explicit bow that say that u.s pro modifieds run off of nitro methane plzzz tell this guy that they run offf of either nitrous or methanol

  • Are these a full fiberglass body? or just mostly with real lights?

  • i want a nova like that. betcha it'll outrun any Ford

  • Yeah NHRA DOES have a pro mod class.....it is not broadcast too often on TV but it does exist.

  • but that black thing.... whoooooo!!!

  • we have pro mods here in Australia but we call them top door slammer.

  • I like how at the end of the racetrack there is a highway, just imagine what would happen if the parachute won't open.

  • I don't understand how the chassis wouldn't snap in two with that kind of power!

    - or better yet, the engine just explode!

just imaging what the pistons are doing in there!!

    - it's not worth thinking about!

  • We run a pro mod car just like that...and it is crazy the force and wear on the parts and the car. but everything is made to withstand it.

  • wow thats fast

  • respect!

  • NICE in HD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • :o wtf

  • DragTV - shoot more 30fps video - especially 10.5-type or real streetcar-type races!! SUPER SUPER SUPER

  • lol is that blue car same ass we use in NY as cab and cop cars xD ?

  • naaahh... it's an old Chevy Camero I think... looks like a cab though :)

  • its a 69 firebird

  • Actually it's a '67 Firebird, a '69 had a different looking front bumper.

  • it could also be a 68 but def not 69

  • its a camaro you idiot

  • its actually a firebird :)

  • what is 231mph in kilometres per hour (km/h)???

  • 372.89

  • What is the record for top doorslammers in the USA?

It is 5.86 here in australia

  • not sure, low to mid 5.80's... NHRA Pro Modified has been running that fast lately.

  • nhra dont even have a pro mod class you idiot

  • uhh yeah they do... i go to the ones in dallas every year... theres more than whats on tv there homo. theres alcohol cars, throttle stops, brackets, and PRO MODS

  • thats called IHRA

  • 5.7s @ 240+

  • WOW! Incredible looking footage! You have to tell me was this uploaded at 30 fps!!!? Thank you so much.

  • thanks, yes it was shot and uploaded at 30fps... the slow shutter speed helps to cover up the cmos rolling shutter issues, and it makes the pan shots look smoother.

  • @bobtribe all NTSC Video is 27FPS... Pal video is like 21 FPS which is european

  • This car is badass! I'm going to the Street Car Super nationals next year.
