@PetrolDemon Lol, no Pro Street doesn't encompass the street legality of the cars anymore. Its Pro Mod with extra weight and a few other restrictions. If you want to see a bad street car, look up Randy Larson's Chevy II, it's street legal and in the 6's.
i absolutely love this video that black one at the start, imagine someone shouted abuse should you actually have that car in reality and then it reverses with those fat ass tyres, not even a boy racer would be stupid enough to duel you, then again every boy racer i have come across has as much i.q. as a bowl of potato salad
This car is beastly power but he probably loses tons of that horsepower on slippage of tires at racing down that strip...even after tires hot and sticky more so for the track not the tires fault. Same thing happens with tractor pulls BIG TIME.
@deltaalpha21074 well really and truely these types of cars rely heavily on tire slippage to get down the track. the motors makes more power than one can rightfully use so you apply as much power to the ground as possible by adjusting tire spin in your suspension tune and clutch slippage. we typically see about a 2-6% slippage rate in this type of application
high tech my ass we lick our fingers and run our blown stuff by weather, although we are putting a computer into our new vette which is coming out in 2011
@meirace What is wrong with Japanese seems everybody buys and drives Japanese why why why??? reliability of course American is great to for trucks and big horsepower but Japanese machined say a 800cu in. engine to the tight tolerances and it was made of strongest metals and instead of all the slippage that the BIG PRO teams do on those big slicks it would top 350 MPH.. big deal PT A to B real thrilling even if I did it and made millions $.
NHRA is sanctioning the Pro Mods for next season (2010). They will run at 10 of the 23 national events next year. Wally's, points, money, season championship, just like the 4 other pro classes.
It would be nice to see NHRA support Pro Mod. It's by far one of the most interesting classes out there and I would love to watch them compete. I race pro bracket and am thinking of making the step to Super Street but I'm not crazy about adding the electronics to be competitive.
hey people there is a guy named explicit bow that say that u.s pro modifieds run off of nitro methane plzzz tell this guy that they run offf of either nitrous or methanol
uhh yeah they do... i go to the ones in dallas every year... theres more than whats on tv there homo. theres alcohol cars, throttle stops, brackets, and PRO MODS
thanks, yes it was shot and uploaded at 30fps... the slow shutter speed helps to cover up the cmos rolling shutter issues, and it makes the pan shots look smoother.

I don't understand how the chassis wouldn't snap in two with that kind of power!
- or better yet, the engine just explode!
just imaging what the pistons are doing in there!!
- it's not worth thinking about!
