They changed the root of the problem, it took years, and they couldn't see the result of their effort. We think that help children or poor people with money is "love"... It is pitty and shame, we move by them because we feel that way watching their reality... But love is higher than that... Love goes further than that... Giving money is a good thing, but doesn't change people and their reality... MLK Jr. and other people with the same "mind" changed black people's reality forever... And keeps changing even now...
LOVE is a BIG 4-LETTER WORD and most of us don't really get what IT means... Most of us think that Love is related to sex or an obsession... Sex and family care are part of our instincts, but LOVE is higher than those... And these people that made GREAT THINGS in the name of love, are (or were) only a few of us, because they had a higher sense of reality and decided to do CRAZY THINGS, most of them putting their lives in risk, and losing it, because of this "hit of reality"...
A lot of people did AMAZING THINGS "In the Name of Love" through the History, beyond religion, politics, cultures, etc, etc... And you here, are making a lot "In the name of stupidity" arguing to see who is right... So, "In the Name of Love" grow up and do something significant and make your footprint visible for everyone...

I have a way. Let's say we have a stack of cards, and on each is written the name of a religion, past or present. This sort of stack would probably reach the top of a skyscraper, but oh well. Anyway, we start going through the stack, and you dismiss each religion, using logic. When we get to the bottom of the stack, the last religion is yours, and you could apply any argument you previously used to that religion. And that disney planning thing is incredibly annoying.

Amazing how many religions preach peace and tolerance for all, and how only a small handful can actually show that they have historically stood by the morals they preach. Personally I don't care what religion you are so long as you keep it to yourself, I'll do the same. For the rest that can't be civil, send me a message and I'll point out the hypocrisy found in every religion, just be sure to read your scriptures first.

I have a way. Let's say we have a stack of cards, and on each is written the name of a religion, past or present. This sort of stack would probably reach the top of a skyscraper, but oh well. Anyway, we start going through the stack, and you dismiss each religion, using logic. When we get to the bottom of the stack, the last religion is yours, and you could apply any argument you previously used to that religion. And that disney planning thing is incredibly annoying.

At the above argument between supposed Atheists and supposed Christians, is it entirely farfetched for evolution and God's creation of Life to coexist? I wouldn't think so. Hell, even a South Park episode had the right answer. "Can't evolution be the answer to how instead of the answer to why?
And that has to be it. Evolutionism is the "how", while Christianity is the "why". Doesn't that sound nicer?

why make this about a belief in god or non? It is a beautiful song written about a courageous man who fought for acceptance (yes generalized term for all that he did i know but no disrespect) Yet many here seek to argue and disrespect each other? Is it just I that see's a sad irony in that?

@Zineve because the song is called pride (in the name of love) not the men who fight or something, we have pride for our religion, the song most likely isn't about Jesus, but if someone says that they want to relate it to Jesus doesn't mean you have to bash them and insult them

Amazing how many religions preach peace and tolerance for all, and how only a small handful can actually show that they have historically stood by the morals they preach. Personally I don't care what religion you are so long as you keep it to yourself, I'll do the same. For the rest that can't be civil, send me a message and I'll point out the hypocrisy found in every religion, just be sure to read your scriptures first.

@KevinSaale ok there you go doing the same thing so many people mistakenly do....there is a difference between 'God' and 'religion'. Religion is what people call worship. God is God no and it makes no reference and has nothing to do with religion. Nowhere in the bible does it say only this religion or that relition is the only one to go to heaven like most religions say. God is God no matter what any 'religion' says or tries to make you believe.

I have nothing against the people the worship Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus like Buddha was a peaceful soul and I feel it's unfortunate that the way of life and philosophy he tried to pass on has been corrupted. I've taken the time to study every major world religion and only about three follow their founding principles, none are from western civilization...

Not to bitch at anyone, but I think people should start seeing the God subject as it is...a belief. Wether you think he exists or think he does not, both remain a belief, one that will only be proven in time of our death. Those who claim to KNOW wether he exists or not, are those I personally consider ignorant.
Being open minded is the ability to say "I very might be wrong, I am not sure" =)

Intelligent design is everywhere around you. Look at a snake or a tortoise. Their designs are most likely useless in nature, but yet they exist. There is a God.

Sure its a theory, but it is being proven. Like i dunno, the fact that the universe is expanding. And then there is that LHC thing they made.

If you have evidence and my religion IS SO FAKE then I want the scientists to come to my house and prove step by step to me and completely convince me that god isn't real, and yet you will say something like "you have no evidence", but the thing is, no one has seen god, true, but no one has seen dinosaurs or seen the "big bang theory"

@arthure33 No, I am not just a follower. I have made my own assesment. God, if he exists, and sure he might but I see no proof, has never done anything for me.And proof or the dinosaurs. Hm..I dunno, how about their fossils? The bones left from their bodies when they died. And the every year scientists notice the stars moving farther apart. That means they should be coming from somewhere. So if we find where they are all moving from, we have found the center of the universe

I have a faith but i also understand that the idea of a big bang is just as riduculous as any other theory. they are all theories, we just chose to believe in one.
