@footballplaya3k my bad i thought you were talkin about the build he did, not a 5 speed conversition. and why would someone do a conversion? after the pcm tune you barely hit 4th at all. my first is good to 52, 52-95 is second, 95-130 is 3rd and i haven't hit 4th on a highway pull.

@kenstaten I would do the conversion too lol. I just like stick better, one of the few things I don't like about my car. I would prefer a 6 speed but the only one of those that has been done was from a g6 and that can't handle any more power than ours does stock. WIth most cars 5 gears would be better than 4 because typically hp goes up the higher in rpms you are, but with our car we max out about 5300rpms so there really is no need for that extra gear to stay in higher rpms so not much pwr gain

My stock tranny still holding up on my M112'd GT... No clue how, must be the street tires. Punch it at 60-65mph on dry pavement and she spins. I would love a turbo and lower compression with it, awesome car and sound! Lots of money and hard work!

Yeah its a GT now... I got the motor from a buddy who ran out of cash for his build. Paid 1k for the entire motor with the block machine work done and 30 over forged pistons, was all in pieces though I gotta put it together get the rods shot peened or buy the powdered l32 rods and get the crank turned and balanced. So long way to go but he spent like 600 on the pistons so I got a good deal.
