  • 2:16 you say a G7alt chords, I've seen in sheetmusic chords names like Galt, and so on, what does that mean? Can I alter anything I want..?

  • @MrAxSAP Usally you would alter the 5th to a sharp or flat 5th, and you could alter the 9th to a flat or sharp 9th, or a combination of the two approaches. A nice scale to use here is the altered dominant scale: 1 b9 #9 3 b5 b6 and b7. As you can see it includes all the altered notes:-)

  • slow it please :((

  • what is the ''altered'' scale?

One of the funniest comments I've ever read on YouTube. So basic...right to the point.

  • i love jazz guitar, but it's really hard!

  • you my friend, are a fucking idiot.

  • tehmaninblack, jazz is full of technical stuff. You need a lot of pacience to learn it.

  • very informative, and nice guitar ;)

  • dude, good licks, but ever heard of treble?

  • it probably sounds like that because his amp isn't being directly mic'd. and besides, that tone is great for jazz.

  • flatwound strings as well I believe

  • Have you ever listened to jazz guitar at all?

  • Yes he has, but lowering the trebel is what gives the guitar that jazzy tone.

  • Looks like some tech death riffs.

    But then again, same shit.

  • good man keep practicing

  • Your playing is superb! Thank you for sharing

  • Your name made me laugh, especially with the way of saying it with a naive smile :D

    But thx anyway, gj :)

  • I take back my comment about it being spoon-fed. Useful licks, with good theoretical information around them. Thanks

  • wooooooooooooooooooooooow mini guitar dude where ya qet it from?

  • hahaha Billy Wilkie

  • 5 stars!

  • the chord changes are amazing

  • first lick was kinda bluesy

  • George Benson blends in alot of blues in his phrases :P check him out if you haven't heard him, amazing guitarplayer!

Good lesson though... I just got into guitar and it's kinda hard at first but once you start to get it it's not too bad.

  • Amazing this licks, you're a great guitar player an excellent teather, thanks for free lessons.

  • Hi Billy, these are very nice licks for the serious guitar player. Do you have any DVDs. I admire your playing.

  • nice dude

  • lol i thought he was playing a 5 fret guitar when he switched to the cutaway look at 0:43

  • LMAO, it DOES look like he is playing a 6 fret guitar if you are not paying attention to the fact that the screen is divided up into 2.

First time I saw that, I was like what kind of a guitar is this?!

  • Jazz rules!!!

  • yeeehaw
