You take Michigan Stadium, a college football stadium that is not known for being the loudest in the nation or anywhere close and compare it to Beşiktaş fans said to be the loudest fans on Earth. Plus this team is from Istanbul which is borderline Middle-Eastern rather than European. Hardly Fair!

They all make their own share of revenue and pay salaries to their players. They are in no way conjoined, while the NFL is in a much larger country. With a very strong following, and the NFL probably makes more than any of the individual european soccer leagues. What don't you understand about this?

To be honest, i'd say Chelsea and Man United are 2 of the worst atmospherically supported teams in England because most of their fans are glory hunters. Try teams such as Liverpool, Stoke City, Portsmouth, Tottenham, Millwall, Leeds United, Newcastle etc ... the more unknown teams in Europe. Ive seen Barcelona play twice and their fans were definatly the quiestest fans ive ever seen.
I've been to Liverpool twice, and been to both Millwall, Tottenham and Portsmouth, and the fans of those clubs are not on level with other european teams of Atmosphere. But yes it's what you as person define as good atmosphere, but none of the English supporters sings all game long, and therefor there will be a lot of quiet periods, and that's what makes the outcome for me.
Loooool Besiktas may have some of the best fans in Europe, but many clubs in Europe have fans like this. Attendance have nothing to do with the atmosphere on the stadium. We (FC Copenhagen) have met 3 English teams over the past years, the away support and home support of both Man utd, city and Chelsea was some of the worst i'd ever experienced except from Barcelona tho. We song them out on away, and at home without any problems. I know the problems and restrictions faced in England, but saying that you have the best supported teams in Europe is a lie, if you mean about atmosphere.

It doesn't matter whether Turkey is European or not, the point of the video is saying European Football > American Football. Yes I do think it's a bit unfair using COLLEGE football fans, but let's be honest, even if they used a huge Superbowl Audience, it's pretty obvious these Turkish fans would still be better.

There was a marching band, acrobatics and even a flyover by the USAF. It was epic (Even though it was contrived for the BBC guests) I know that americans do go big when the occasion calls.

The EU should be classed as a single country because it meets every criteria for one other than having a written contitution (Which the UK doesn't have either btw). The EU is classed as a single entity by the WTO and the IMF and populationwise it is in line with the US... It is more fair to compare the 2 than to compare teh US with 1 tiny European country.

@TacticalHub I don't understand what this has to do with Soccer and Football. There are individual leagues in the different countries within Europe. They all make their own share of revenue and pay salaries to their players. They are in no way conjoined, while the NFL is in a much larger country. With a very strong following, and the NFL probably makes more than any of the individual european soccer leagues. What don't you understand about this?

The most expensive club in england is manchester united at $1.9billion and that is not even the most valuble club in the world. I think one of the spanish clubs is. There are 2billion football fans worldwide. A third of the worlds population. to compare football to the NFL is pointless. Even hockey is bigger than American football.

To be honest, i'd say Chelsea and Man United are 2 of the worst atmospherically supported teams in England because most of their fans are glory hunters. Try teams such as Liverpool, Stoke City, Portsmouth, Tottenham, Millwall, Leeds United, Newcastle etc ... the more unknown teams in Europe. Ive seen Barcelona play twice and their fans were definatly the quiestest fans ive ever seen.

I've been to Liverpool twice, and been to both Millwall, Tottenham and Portsmouth, and the fans of those clubs are not on level with other european teams of Atmosphere. But yes it's what you as person define as good atmosphere, but none of the English supporters sings all game long, and therefor there will be a lot of quiet periods, and that's what makes the outcome for me.

Attendance have nothing to do with the atmosphere on the stadium. We (FC Copenhagen) have met 3 English teams over the past years, the away support and home support of both Man utd, city and Chelsea was some of the worst i'd ever experienced except from Barcelona tho. We song them out on away, and at home without any problems. I know the problems and restrictions faced in England, but saying that you have the best supported teams in Europe is a lie, if you mean about atmosphere.

the support in England nowadays is not as good as it used to be, mainly because of strict rules in stadiums, overpriced tickets so that loyal fans can't afford to go to the stadium anymore, police repression etc. the government there want to have fans like those in america (sit down and shut up).
but still the english fans (and also the spanish fans) are much more passionate than in america.
