Ive had my super cup lp for about 1 month and am loving it. i got a fly camone2 and is the ultimate toy. be sure to purchase a second lp battery - its the perfect amount of flying time. Havent tried floats yet . have had about 4 bird attacks.... heaps of fun and has got a fair bit of punch!
how much wind can this thing handle? i have a firebird freedom and it gets pushed around a lot, and also, does the super cub have faster and better handling than the firebird freedom?
From the looks of this vid, it doesn't like wind very much. Sounds a little under-powered with the brushed motor and gearbox too. I'm sure it's fun to fly, just don't expect too much... It is what it is; a high-wing foamy.
It's not underpowered at all, and I've flown in 30mph wind just fine. I don't think many people would do it but I thought it'll be cool to hover in the air for landing with the wind straight in my face.
great flyer. and one tough bird. a few rought landings, 2 tree strikes ( 45 foot Pine/ 20 foot Maple) , prop strike on concrete, broke tail section from about 2 inches from the end of the fuselage, then thebroke completely in half just aft of the wing trailing edge and still flyes great (after a lot of glue and tape.) and No It wasnt all my damage. i have 2 friends that i let fly and contribute to the damage.
wish they'd contribute to my Supercub Recovery Fund.... :(
Just got one of these yesterday along with a set of floats. My advice is to keep your float tips up on take off and on landing. Dont let them dig in. On landing keep a little power on the plane until touchdown. You want to fly it onto the water. Have fun! I love mine!
Ideally if you can get a bigger battery it would be better but you can do it on the battery it has. Also important to mention it will fly on the prop in the box but to make it easier you want to go to a 10x6 to which there is one avaliable in the Parkzone range with the part number PKZ1005
Great for beginners! Very nice to fly, easy to assemble, smooth rides. Great job!

The HobbyZone Super Cub is the champion of beginner planes. And, after a few months, you can take it to the next level: watch?v=i_g0c9kWXYQ

Nice video. Great plane. How fast is this plane going, and flies the plane also good with hard wind?

Its just that its prop is too small. Install one like on the original super cub and it will have a lot more power.

Hey do you have any first float fly advice.
ljdcrazy13 2 years ago
Just make your take off runs faster and keep it smooth, other than that just fly it like you would any other plane.

I bought the floats for my older version supercub. Do I need to get a bigger battery?
