LOL! I bought their album during my first duty station in the Army over 25 years ago. I had no idea who they were, I just liked the way the album looked. Every since then I was glad I did.
the 3 motherfuckers who gave the thumbs down were flocka waka flame, gucci mane, & souljah boy. let me tell all you youngsters who fail to realize what substance, creativity, passion, and love is, this is real hip-hop. you mean to tell me we went from this classic music in the 80's to rapping about getting your dick sucked, guns, beef, shooting other rappers, bitches, cars, bling, strip clubs, dissing adults and law enforcement? call me old all you want, at least i know what the word quality means.
Every Lunchroom in the hood had someone playing this beat on the table while someone was tryng to freestyle. This was when you could hit the table and play a beat with your hands and everyone knew what song it was you were pounding on the table
Mantronix signed with Capitol Records in 1987 after 2 albulms, in what was one of the first 7figure deals for a hip-hop group, and released In Full Effect in 1988 which was the first album to be mastered from DAT instead of reel-to-reel tape.reaching #18 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart Mantronix's highest showing for an album. In Full Effect marked the last Mantronix album with rapper MC Tee, who left the group to enlist in the United States Air Force

This song was only meant for boom boxes with some REAL bass. If yours weren't carrying at least 100+ watts, you didn't bother playing this song outside your house because someone else would show up with theirs and drown yours out...

Mantronix best beatmaker of ALL time IMO!
Helped Set the Standards for beat production.
His ideas concepts and styles are implemented to this day.
On the Ave this song bumping from a car caused all b-boys to take their stance,
In the club, this song instantly spawned break battles,
I personally love the 808 BUMP, and the cowbells, MC TEE is the shit and a perfect accent to theses flawless beats!
For the time the complexity of his beats were groundbreaking!
Long live MANTRONIX
