  • Protesters get a clue and a life. You'd have to eat a half-dozen dump truck loads of man made snow from reclaimed-water to get anywhere near the effect of half of a children's Tylenol. You want to protest something, go protest the lack of jobs in

    Arizona.

  • this video is lame all of your supposed facts about reclaimed water can not be proven so they are assumptions.

  • If i can snowboard for two months longer due to snowmaking then snowmake the hell out of the mountain.

  • I am so glad that they are blowing in snow. I am going to be on that mountian all the time(at least 4 times a week). I'll let you know if I suffer any damages from that.

  • your group is fucking ridiculous

  • Little Sister - it is good you leave the negative remarks below for all to see. It shows there are still many ignorant humans who still grunt in single syllables and their knuckles still drag the ground. Their DNA is still stuck in the era of just learning to walk upright. They can not see beyond their own stupidity for they feel they are the center of the Universe. They go to school and yet do not become "educated". Your heart is good. Keep up the good work.

  • You're a hippocrate, Religion in all it's aspects and manifestations implies a "creator" imbued special powers on an unspecial planet. If we need to now feel we are the "center of the universe" then what makes this mountain special, for is it not seen as the center of the universe too? we must be prehistoric, because developing electricity, flight, and space travel can all be done by monkeys, huh? I'm sorry we're thin, a trait your race has yet to achieve, don't take your anger out on us.

  • fuck you trogs and tree huggers in your stupid asses... long live snowbowl

  • amen, these losers need to worry about better shit.

  • yeah except that place kind of sucks ballz, i would much rather spend the extra few bucks to go to telluride or utah for a week than a couple of trips to snowbowl

  • you little bitchs, fuck you. go get bro raped. you obviously dont know shit about anything you cock suckin pussy eatin pranksters

  • NEPA stands for (N)eeds to (E)nd (P)ointless (A)rgument... sowbowl is going to win snowmaking for there mountain whether you hippies like it or not!

  • "What the tribes do on their land is their business." is what yous aid about casinos... shouldnt this work the other way around too?

  • Find out what NEPA stands for and get back to me.

  • how much money are the indians paying you to make these videos and come up with BS responses to comments??? FACT- no mountain is SACRED its a volcanic pile of dirt with trees on it.. get over it!!

  • Then what makes a church sacred?

    What makes Mt Sinai holy?

    What makes holy water holy?

I guess if you don't have any values of respect for other cultures or beliefs then nothing is sacred.

p.s. im a volunteer. I dont get paid.

  • yah i agree with jake down there what makes one mountain sacred and another not?? ok say im feeling vibes in the middle of downtown pheonix.... lets knock everything down and build a damn shrine!!!

  • "what makes one mountain sacred and another not?"

Well you have to ask various tribes. There are over 560 Indigenous Nations in this country that have different relationships to the natural environment. There are many books, anthropological studies, Forest Service Environmental Impact Statements, Traditional Cultural Property Designations, etc that have this information specifically relating to the San Francisco Peaks. A little bit of basic research can help you understand the difference.

  • There is also a clear difference from you "feeling vibes" of a place and established religions that have had clearly defined relationships with specific sites for hundreds of years. Your analogy is unclear. Downtown Phoenix is not an established sacred site, place of worship, or home to deities etc., maybe if there are some Churches... but then you would actually be painting the picture of what we as Native people are facing here with Snowbowl.

  • not in flagstaff it doesnt come out of our faucets but in other major citys it does... there is one major difference between snowbowl and sunrise... at sunrise the indians make money and snowbowl they dont.

  • You need to check your FACTS.

Where do you get your information from? Do a search on Arizona Daily Sun's website and you'll find articles such as this one: Contaminants dog city's recycled water - Arizona Daily Sun - 3/26/04. Again, Snowbowl is on PUBLIC LANDS, this means they have specific laws that apply to them that dont apply to the tribes. Is this really about Native Americans benefiting when you cant? If so, I'd be concerned with the connotations of racism.

  • fuck that I'm not racist if you read a SINGLE fucking word i said then you would understand that. So what makes sunrise so unsacred is it because you cant feel crazy vibes from a shitty mountain

  • Your statements speak volumes to your ignorance and lack of tolerance for other cultures and beliefs.

Besides, the response wasnt directed at your statements, unless you have two accounts.

  • nope i think i just thought you were talking to me because you responded to one of my other comments

  • sunrise also uses reclaimed water for there snowmaking equipment. tell them to go waste there money on casinos instead of trynig to claim somethings sacred.. casinos make people gambling addicts that lie to there families and you hippies dont give a shit about that.. and why is sunrise mountain so unsacred that there resort is bigger than snowbowl is and ever will be.. maybe cause they make so much MONEY from it!!!!

  • FACT: Sunrise DOES NOT use reclaimed water to make snow.

FACT: Sunrise is NOT on a sacred mountain.

If you read the court ruling and look at facts in the case, you would recognize that you have been misled by Snowbowl propaganda. Casinos are another issue, we're talking about Snowbowl's proposal here. What the tribes do on their land is their business. Snowbowl is on PUBLIC land. There are specific laws that the business has to abide by.

  • you guys are dumb asses!!! guess what the water that comes out of your faucet is .... reclaimed water!!!.. so go on thinking that were all gonna die... i was an employee at snowbowl this year and can see why snowbowl and the town of flagstaff NEED snowmaking from reclaimed water!!!!

  • "Need Snowmaking"? The courts established that there is no compelling interest for Snowbowl's development, they determined that its bad for the environment and bad for Native Culture. Snowbowl doesnt drive the economy of Flagstaff. Read the ruling then make a statement that addresses the facts.

Fact: reclaimed water does not come out of our faucets.

  • The video isn't ignorant it is just the other side of the argument. Building commercial enterprises on the Mount Olympus's out there is a bit dystopian.

  • What is the fascination with fake snow? The Earth makes it fresh if you have the breeding to wait for it. This page is a great piece of research for my studies in anthropology. Animals become desperate and hostile when their subsistence strategies are systematically depleted. How do primates digest and aquire nutrients from artificial snow? The issue is not about who misses out on the fun of out-of-season skiing.

  • Actually, the issue is that Northern Arizona is suffering from a drought. They have actually done a study of natural snow versus the reclaimed water snow.... And the reclaimed water snow was actually cleaner. In other parts of the world, they actually do clean reclaimed water to the point where it can be consumed.. This is actually a pretty ignorant video. Do your research.

  • Pharmaceuticals, Hormones and cancer causing agents are the "fascination". The fact is that there are new man made personal care products that are in wastewater systems today.

  • Funny that other reservations can use artificial snow on thier mountains, but since snowbowl isn't owned by a tribe, then it has to be bad for the environment. Flagstaff, always someone protesting something, is quite entertaining sometimes.

  • The protest is against using wastewater to make snow, not the making of snow in general.

  • mammoth during the first part of their season this year relied almost entirely snowmaking,Mt Hood Meadows resort uses it,more importantly arizonas other resort inferior to snowbowl sunrise uses snowmaking. Do a little research before you try to make the next horrible college conspiracy movie we've seen it all before remember this is youtube ;)

  • You guys are rediculous stupid college students that probably arn't even from Flagstaff I'm a local here I've lived in Flagstaff since I was 6 you are naive college students from scottsdale and other suburban waste lands you don't know anything about snowmaking, lets think about some of the greatest resorts that use snowmaking;

  • Who cares about cancer, Once they start making snow that mountain will kill me a lot faster than any cancer can. I can't wait till they open the new hill and light the old hill and... oh yeah, MAKE SNOW!

  • ummm...excuse me wtf ru talking about? i did not understand the 2 comments you left at all. :( lol kbye

  • Did you know Nevada military sites are exempt from all environmental laws? They burned hazardous chemical waste in open pits. Niiiice Several workers in their facility died from hazardous smoke inhalation. Couldn't get treated cause Gov. refused to say what it burned.

  • okay well, truth is, there are a lot of things that can cause that shit, not just the contaminated crap up there. tell people to quit smoking and drinking so much first, then move on to this...probably a bunch of hippies who drink and smoke anyways. nonetheless, i cracked up, funny stuff!

  • Response to relativelyfunguy(1 month ago) A child can be a hippie; A baby can also be a hippie, but neither can quit smoking because, most likely, they are not smokers. Both, most likely, are water drinkers, but doubts are they're not alcohol drinkers.
