Steve Cohen is stale dogmeat, hypocritical, and a very white stiff bald headed man in a black district. Why is this white guy being supported by black folk against a black woman running against him. Does he have an identity problem or is he just a guy who doesn't know who or what he is? How much money has he promised them for their vote? I would think a responsible black person would want someone who will offer a helping hand out of dependency to self worth.
Freedom of the press my ass. Your party will whither on the vine this November. I dont care what republican runs. They will get my vote and it will not vote for a single Democrat.
He might be a little crazy, but really Steve's a great guy. I've been good friends with him for a few years now, and he never ceases to surprise me, good or bad. Though i did once wax his bald spot with an industrial car buffer! haha
Does he still support Turkey after Turks aired the T.V. show " Vally of the Wolves", depicting Israeli agents kidnapping children and shooting old men, or has the Turkish delight turned sour in his ugly mouth?
The repressive Turkish Regime has a law in its penal code called, Section 301, which has resulted in Turkish citizens being prosecuted & jailed for acknowledging the Armenian Genocide. I am sure you support such government abuse. The governments in North Korea and Burma are no better.
And, who falls into the North Korea-Burma-Turkey category, of not allowing Freedom of the Press: MEMPHIS CONGRESSMAN STEVE COHEN. On one hand, he talks about human rights..and then he denies a genocide. Wow.
Excuse me, I agree about lifting the article 301 law, but isn't it hypocritical that Armenian Diasporan communities bribed many parliaments in the EU to pass laws to make sure that if there is anyone who disagrees with the genocide label, they go to jail, which is already a form of free speech supression.
@ItsTanerAkcam I must say that Armenian nationalists are trying to make sure that Turkish people lack patriotism for their nation and surrender to the people who want to destroy them and demonize them, I can say there is no way in the world this will happen, period.
The Turks are a human cancer, a creeping agony in the flesh of the lands which they misgovern, rotting every fiber of life ... I am glad that the Turk is to be called to a final account for his long record of infamy against humanity."
Turks are only one people who can massacre babies in their mothers stomach and who can betray and backstab every one who once trusted them even in their most miserable times! Turks also played a BIG ROLE in HITLER's ARMY while massacring the JEWISH people whereas Armenians always helped JEWS and all nations. Turks are known worldwide by their enormeous killer and rubber habits.TRADITION! SO FUCK ALL turks turks Turks are only
"Dro the butcher was a nazi armenian and he killed millions of jews...."
Really? H'm. One would think that, if this were true, there would be countless records to corroborate it. Of course, it's pure Turkish misinformation; so don't count on it.
Again, name one reputable Jewish organization that stands by this falsehood that is asserted only by Turks and their truthless supporters. Just one.
Acknowledge the truth, so that it doesn't kill you from within.
Armenians know of a war hero and a revolutionary by the name of Drastamat Kanayan. You call him "The Butcher" because of his victories over the Ottoman Empire.
Outside of Turkey and its propaganda machine, there is not a single source that supports this nonsense of a claim that you've made. Name one reputable Jewish organization that stands by it. Just one.
As I've made clear, the truth is killing you. Check your blood pressure, and try to relax. Accepting the truth is a good thing.
You've listed Serbia as your country. You're not Serbian. The Serbs and the Armenians are brothers. You are a Turk, without a doubt.
Do you know that there are videos that make the absurd claim that the perpetrators of the Armenian Genocide were Crypto Jews? Guess who is responsible for that nonsense, as well. That's right -- Turkey! Turkey is in such desperation that it resorts to the most extreme falsehoods to divert attention from the facts.
Not a single, reputable, Jewish organization supports this nonsense that is asserted only by Turks and their vile supporters. It's an example of Turkish desperation in its penultimate act. The ultimate act of desperation for a Turk is to silence the truth; take, for example, the murder of Hrant Dink.
Bark all you want, but only you and your kind believe your lies. You must hate yourself terribly to make such a desperate attempt to deceive. The truth is killing you from within.
Yes an armenian journalist ( Hrant Dink) was killed by a stupid ignorant fudamentalist muslim and THOUSANDS OF TURKS TOOK TO THE STREETS AND PORTESTED IT BY SAYING " WE ARE ALL ARMENIANS" See fucking Armenains why don't you tell about Turks' reaction huh? As fucking usual you only tell what serves your intersts. FUCK YOU. I love Steve Cohen he got HUGE BALLS
Mr. Anonymous tuncnut: Let me remind you that the only violence in the last few years between Muslim Turks & Christian Armenians is: 1) Armenian-Turkish journalist Hrant Dink getting shot to death in Istanbul by a Turkish-Muslim citizen AND 2) In December 2008, the conviction of 21-year-old Turkish-American Serdar Tatar, who worked in a Philadelphia 7/11. His crime, plotting to gun down American soldiers at Fort Dix in New Jersey.
I moved to Memphis a few years back, but I didnt vote for this buffoon. Unfortunately youre right though. Most of this city loves him. (And our corrupt mayor too)
Great work, Mr. Musurlian! Cohen is a buffoon, among other things. Continue to expose him for what he is.
To the Turkish deniers of genocide, remember these words: One day, the reality of the Armenian Genocide will become a part of the Turkish curriculum. Future generations of Turks (and others) will learn about the facts (as the rest of the world knows them to be), not the misinformation of the denial machine (as the Turkish deniers present them). It is, without a doubt, inevitable.
Sullied-man: Calm down, bud. I have deleted you again. This is my site. Your childish vulgarities are a no-go. Regardless of your Tourette-Syndrome-like outbursts, my offer still stands. I will buy an hour of TV time in Reno, where you live, permitting the two of us to debate, for all the world to see. You & me, bud. I assume a high-level intellectual like yourself can handle that. You talk a good game here on YouTube, but how about in REAL LIFE...on REAL TV. The fez is in your court, bud.
Peter, since I live in the city close to Glendale, perhaps I and some of my associates can drop by and pay you a friendly visit(you could even give us a tour of your business if you'd like). It would give us a great chance to get to know one another and to discuss various issues face-to-face(such as all of the posts that you deleted because it revealed the truth & that terrified you and others). What say you Peter? Shall I also try to convince my uncle to come here and go a 3 minute round w/you?
Do you live in "the city close to Glendale" or, as is grammatically correct, "a city close to Glendale." You need to pay closer attention in your evening ESL classes. Turks appear to be better at Genocide than using words. And, by the way, if you or your "associates" want to visit me in Glendale, my e-mail and phone number are available on my website. In the meantime, you are still ANONYMOUS, and, very likely, a paid high-school-drop-out, hired by the Turkish government to surf the Internet.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Finally Peter, I'd appreciate it if you stop saying that I'm a paid PR person from Turkey. Those people are experts, I'm not! I'm just an average Joe who wants fairness, family closure, and for the world to finally learn the truth & the other side of the story! From your comments and constant deletions, your problem is not with me. It's an act of desperation by you to try to divert attention from the truth (say & do anything) and prevent it from coming forth to public attention! Say whatever.
you need to get a life for yourself, don't flatter yourself, no one cares for your racist and petty posts, but in fact Peter should delete all your posts just because of your insulting use of the word "armos" instead of "armenians".
I forgot to mention that when you write an ethnic descriptor, they're usually always capitalized! Also, we demand an apology from Dashnak Armos for slaughtering my people(my grandparents & a few relatives were the sole survivors of the bloodbath done by the Russian-backed Dashnaks! You all convieniently never talk about the mass amount of blood on your hands)! Oh Peter, come up from under your desk and let's get both ANCA & ATAA to arrange for an open public forum debate w/ full media coverage!
Dearest SULLIED-MAN, my anonymous friend, i.e. paid Turkish agent: As you know, more than 40 American states, more than 20 countries, as well as the International Association of Genocide Scholars, have recognized the guilt of your ancestors regarding the Armenian Genocide. There is no need for a debate on that issue. The only debate left to have, is the debate (and negotiations) as to how much land & money the current Turkish government should hand over to the current government of Armenia.
And...Mr. SULLIED-MAN, aka Mr. Anonymous: As far as your dead relatives? My heart bleeds. My grandfather lost his five younger sisters during a forced march into Syria. That was part of the successful ethnic cleansing perpetrated by the Turkish government. Of the 2 million Armenians, who lived in Eastern Turkey in 1915, 1.5 million died & 500,000 survived in the diaspora. No Armenians are left in Eastern Turkey. So, some Turks died as they committed genocide. Big deal. Turkey is still there.
Thanks nabasdak. I always try to include some negative comments here, just to show where "the other side" is coming from. I do delete posts when I deem them a pollutant to my YouTube channel. Posts on this channel (301AD) are not going to be part of a free-for-all for all the Turkish crackpots, who feel guilt & shame over the criminal sins of their Turkish ancestors. Most Turks are not crackpots & cowards, but YouTube seems to attract delusional & childish Turks, who want to remain anonymous.
First off, SuliemanTheGreat misspells his own name. What a phoney. It is Suleiman. Second, as Obama/Biden prepare to acknowledge the Armenian Genocide, Turkish-government hired guns, like Suleiman, are working overtime and scrambling. But, when Peter Musurlian (301AD) offered to pay for TV time and debate Suleiman, he ran from the challenge like a little girl or, more appropriately, like Congressman Steve Cohen in the role of a little girl. The Turkish side is both wrong and full of cowards.
If Obama gets in, like it now appears, your Armo selfishness may very well be the begining of the end for all! Since Turkey's been insulted by the US far too many times because of Armo & Greek bribed politicians (Turkey's been a staunch ally & friend of the US for decades), she may w/draw from NATO & form "other alliances" w/ Russia/China & others. Obama's a pussy, so if Turkey decides to go into Armenia (Putin will have our back since the US won't risk a war over Armenia), nothing will happen!
There are legitimate ethical issues involved in the making and posting of this video. Nonetheless, if you are an ethnic Turk, there are real questions about your motivations here. The world knows the Armenians were victims of genocide in World War I. The Turkish government should finally do the decent thing and admit it. They could even say "Look, it wasn't the Modern Turkish government, it was those crazy Ottomans"!
Until Armos debate us in an open public forum with full media coverage so that the whole world will see the real truth, then everyone's opinion of Armos (especially in Glendale) will remain the same! You Armos have bribed so many members of congress that it's pathetic! You never once mention in public that Armos slaughtered so many people (including thousands of Azeris in 1992) throughout history! You Armos will never change, that's why many more people are starting to talk like Cohen all over!
There's nothing to debate. The Armenian Genocide happened. Everybody knows it happened. Everybody knows those people did nothing to deserve being slaughtered.
And there's no moral difference between David Irving demanding that Jews debate him on whether the Holocaust occurred and Turks demanding that Armenians debate them on the Genocide(the event that gave Hitler the idea for the Shoah, let me remind you.)
Also, I'm not Armenian and I've never been to Glendale in my life.
Sulleman, If you are for real...and not a PR-guy working for the Turkish government, please contact me offline. My website has all the info you need to get ahold of me by e-mail or phone. You are supposedly somewhere in the USA. I will travel to your town, gladly purchase 1 hour of TV time, so you and I can debate. If you are not for real...as I suspect, you will ignore my offer or simply make-up a reason for not doing this. My offer should be a dream come true for you.
To reply to both of your posts...no, I'm not a PR person. I don't need to be. The very fact that Armos refuse to debate us in an open pulic forum with full media coverage says it all! If you're really serious about having a debate (and then not running away like your people did a few years back with a post-PBS special where a 30 minute debate was scheduled between both sides after a showing of a program. Our people were there, but the Armos threatened PBS and told them that they BETTER cancel)!
Sulleman: The Turks lost the PBS debate. It was an embarrassingly poor showing by the Turkish side. Meanwhile, it is obvious, by the language you use and your standard, predictable talking points, that you are a paid Turkish PR person. I gave you an opportunity to debate me and you avoided the opportunity. You had better go back to your PR-firm boss (Dick Gephardt and/or Dick Armey) and devise a new strategy, because the Obama/Biden Administration is about to recognize the Armenian Genocide. :)
Please provide me the proof/evidence of this PBS debate that the TURKS lost! I had spoken with people who said just the opposite! Justin McCarthy et al were there waiting when PBS canceled the scheduled debate! Why are you Armos so terrified? Look at the incident at UCLA when the Armos panicked when a Turkish Studies Department was about to be established. They crapped their pants because they can't (to this day) allow the public to hear the other side! Nothing will change your cowardly actions!
Sulleman: First you request "proof," of the debate, then you go off on some other A-D-D brain drift. Are the talking points provided to you by Dick Gephardt and the Turkish government written in Ottoman? THERE WAS A PBS DEBATE. It is on YouTube. If you cannot even get that fact straight, I shouldn't expect you to be a worthy debate opponent. You have disappointed me. I thought PR guys in D.C. did their homework. The folks paying your firm with Turkish taxpayer dollars should demand a refund.
UCLA rejected the proposed Turkish studies chair because Turkey had put conditions for who the candidate should be which infringed upon academic integrity and freedom. Ottoman Turkish studies is an important topic and a chair would have been very useful at UCLA, but certainly not under the conditions Turkey had demanded in its proposed contract.
jhoff11...I, Peter Musurlian of Globalist Films, must respond with some bad news for people like you, who think everyone is conspiring. I've never shaken Nikki Tinker's hand, nor have I exchanged two words with her, by phone, in person, by e-mail, by Western Union or by text message. I saw her for the first time on election night at Morgan Freeman's Downtown Memphis Restaurant. I was in Memphis to shoot a film on the Cohen-Tinker Democratic Primary race for the U.S. House (8/7/08).
Musulian continues: Tinker's Camp granted an interview with a top staffer, Cohen's Camp did not. Ultimately, I tried to question Cohen about genocide. His response to that "most serious crime against mankind," as he called it?? He looked into the camera and sang a song. Mr. Cohen is mentally unbalanced. The VIDEO tells that story, not me. But, you will have a chance in 2009 to see more in the documentary, "Turkey's Tool in Memphis: An Examination of a Congressional Drama Queen's Hissy Fit."
That the Commercial Appeal and the Memphis Flyer didn't criticize Cohen for his hate speech betrays these publications' lack of objectivity and why their best use is (and always will be)as catbox liners. Thanks to Peter for pointing out eloquently the absurdity of a genocide-denying, bigoted, dishonest, frivolous and painfully rhythm-less slavery apologizer. I need to wash my eyes with bleach after watching Cohen dance. Thanks to our Nashville brethren for the support.
"Steve," as you call him, had a chance to stand in front of my camera for 60 seconds, say he thinks what happened WAS genocide, but, for whatever reason, does not support a resolution, like you. But "Steve," chose to say he was busy eating, and then, in a dismissive act of arrogance, Congressman Steve Cohen sang the USC Fight Song. The singing of a song, when asked about genocide, was tantamount to defecating on the graves of 1.5 million Armenians. Your buddy, "Steve," is quite a guy.
Furthermore, I certainly don't want Turkey to invade Kurdistan, which they very well might do if they are rejecting American forces in the Middle East. We rely on Turkey for support in almost every facet of our operations in Iraq, and the fact is that it would cost lives and money to restructure the war if Turkey abandoned us. I get your point of view, I get why you hate Turkey and why this makes you so angry , but even you have got to realize that now is not the time for this resolution.
As an American, I resent any country, especially a NATO ally, threatening the USA. Are we Switzerland? Are we such cowards? Are we a Paper Tiger? I, for one, do not subscribe to the "Blackmail Doctrine." You and Steve Cohen can take money from the Turks, party in Istanbul and then come back to America and wrap yourselves in the American Flag. For a guy who has no family history of military service, Steve Cohen sure acts like he loves the troops. I guess talk is safer than action.
Nancy Pelosi, who supports the resolution, has said she's been told for years, "this just isn't the right time." By the Cohen standard, Pelosi doesn't care about the troops. And, who else disagreed with Cohen & voted for the resolution in committee: Lantos (D-CA), Chabot (R-OH), Green (D-TX), McCaul (R-TX). Also supportive: Obama & Biden. Joe, in fact, has co-sponsored every Armenian Genocide Resolution over the past 20 years. It sounds like Cohen is going to have to support Pontius Pilate.
(1)I can remember "dining" with Steve Cohen one, maybe two, maybe three times -- at least one of those times during the course of a formal interview.
(2)"a stout sort who enjoyed several pounds and more than a few years on the slightly built, middle-aged congressman": That's a "gratuitous insult?" I don't think so. If I can own up to being a "grandfather, who has been around the block a time or two," Peter can surely admit to being young and stocky.
Jackson, You Memphis-media good old boys just want to fixate on the small stuff and avoid the two big issues: Cohen is emotionally unstable and a bigot. I wonder what Speaker Pelosi is this thinking now? A while back, she called Cohen, "The conscience of the Freshman Class." That, of course, was back when he was giving ostensibly heartfelt and intellectually-honest House-Floor speeches against genocide and slavery.
Since Congressman Cohen's days as "a foe" of slavery & genocide, the human gaffe machine has compared Palin to Pilate & Obama to Jesus AND he has disingenuously (and part of a cynical & desperate campaign tactic to explain his hissy fit) painted Armenian-Americans as terrorists and assassins.
During the now-infamous press conference, which Cohen held at home to hide from being intellectually challenged by real journalism, he totally lost control: verbally & physically. I'm sure you were quite impressed by his "machismo," as he shoved me out the door. The fact is, at only 13 years his junior, I could have verbally & physically sent Cohen back to the racist 1950s, where, quite obviously, he subconsciously still resides. But, I showed professionalism, restraint and emotional normalcy.
What happened to Steve Cohen? He lost it, pure & simple. So, when do you & your accomplices in the Memphis media examine Cohen's hypocrisy, bigotry & fragile mental state? It's all on display in my 10-minute video. But, I suspect, as an apparent unpaid extension of the Cohen Machine, you'll continue to sell-out your integrity and fixate on the irrelevant. It's sad to see you spending your journalist Golden Years rationalizing your support for a hateful, cynical & dimwitted career politician.
Cout me stupid. I am ID'd in this video as the person from whom Mr. Musurlian learned of the Cohen press conference. He had left a come-on on our (Memphis Flyer's) website with some soft-soaping praise soliciting me for an objective interview on the Cohen-Tinker race. He made no mention of the Armenian issue. Inadvertently, I said I would meet hm after Cohens press conference. Duh.
Musurlians questions to Cohen here plainly show that he is no objective documentarian. Merely a provocateur.
jbaker7973 is Memphis Flyer senior editor & political columnist JACKSON BAKER. I have no beef with Mr. Baker, even though he did childishly offer-up a gratuitous insult of my physical appearance in a column he wrote about Steve Cohen's hissy fit and subsequent physical attack on me. Notwithstanding, Mr. Baker's third-rate humor, he is indeed the top political writer in Memphis. He's a grandfather, who has been around the political block a time or two. I wish I had an interview with Mr. Baker.
Of course MR. BAKER'S longevity has resulted in him being too chummy with the emotionally-challenged Mr. Cohen, leaving Baker unable to really see how much of a loose-cannon his long-time dining partner has become. Steve Cohen is racking up gaffe after gaffe after gaffe, in just his Freshman year in Congress. Someone please stop him before he gaffes again. He's making the two Fords before him look like Rhodes Scholars. Perhaps Cohen's fourth-tier-law-school-education is not serving him well.
Mr. Baker called me "a provocateur." He's now apparently a propagandist for Mr. Cohen. I thought Baker had more integrity than that. Mr. Baker, you have not seen all the video tape. I made several sincere efforts to get a civil interview with the cowardly congressman, but he avoided me. He refused to answer one question. I have one polite exchange on tape. When it became clear that Cohen was not going to answer my questions, I tried to shame him into answering me, during a 67-second encounter.
Congressman Cohen brought it upon himself, sending his thug Travis after me. That is on tape, too. Yes, on several occasions I was bumped by a Cohen staffer. It's all on tape. I did not travel to Memphis to stir things up. Had that been the case, I would have peppered Cohen non-stop -- from the beginning -- at the two events at which I filmed him. Instead, I waited until he was leaving the event. Please Jackson, have some honor and stop defending your loose-lipped, loose-cannon congressman.
And, worst of all, after being on the receiving end of some hateful and intolerant comments, Cohen HIMSELF made several bigoted comments. And, what have you (JACKSON BAKER) and the rest of the Memphis media said about Cohen's hypocrisy and bigotry?? NOTHING...ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. That, my friend, is a disgrace. It is a disgrace that will all be documented in the film, "Turkey's Tool in Memphis: An Examination of a Congressional Drama Queen's Hissy Fit."
BTW, I called his office to complain about his comparison to Obama to Jesus. I tried to send him an e-mail at his website, but couldn't. Apparently he doesn't accept e-mails from people who live outside of Tenn.
His feeble "apology" was sad. He needs to make a public apology and then shut up.
Im not approving of or condemning Mr. Cohen's actions. All people and politicians makes mistakes from time to time, but I think it is unfair to judge a person based on one incident without all the facts. I am also always dumbfounded at how people will easily jump on a subject or person and call them horrible names without all the facts. To me, thats dangerous and ignorant. I mean, how would you act if someone came into your home like they did his? Answer that and then criticize him.
dcdoc22: Your boss, Mr. Cohen, claimed to fear Armenian-Americans because they might be terrorists. What a bigot! The night before, he didn't look to be in fear. He was arrogant, sarcastic & bizarre, singing the USC Fight Song. That's not a man fearing an assassin; that's a politician fearing to be exposed as a TOOL OF TURKEY. Cohen cannot be defended. He refused to answer questions, he ran away like a guilty child, he shoved a journalist, and then engaged in hate speech. And he's your hero?
After questioning Cohen for 67 seconds at 9 PM on Tuesday, he drove away. The next time -- and last time I ever saw him -- was at 11:30 AM the next day, Wednesday, 8/6/08, the day before the election. The encounter was at the press conference, where he shoved me out the door. Cohen WAS NOT harassed, he was asked 67 seconds of questions, but refused to answer. Cohen knows he's bought-and-paid-for by the Turkish Government and couldn't stand up to serious & relentless questions about his position.
Ok..I wasn't trying to discredit you in any way. But from someone sitting a computer watching Cohen's intense reactions - it seemed like he had been constantly hounded down and it is possible that other interactions may have been left out. BUT - I trust what you are saying is factual though. This man appears to be a disgusting individual - and not only based on this video, with him most recently, on taxpayer money, saying in CONGRESS that Obama is like Jesus.
I am getting emails from friends, as I live in a Nashville suburb. These friends are outraged about Cohen's comments about Palin. They are beginning to look into his extreme left voting record.
It appears that Cohen has a history of maniacal behavior and far left radical views.
My replies have been that he is a disgrace to TN as we had the likes of Davy Crokett, Andrew Jackson, Alvin York, plus many more who were the total opposite of this disgrace.
Shonester, I've noted your comments about Cohen being "a jerkface," but, take a closer look at the video and you'll see there was no harassment. I spent less than 1 hour filming Cohen on Tuesday night. That was the first and only I'd ever been in his presence. At the first of two events, he didn't know who I was, thus hammed-it-up for the camera. After I introduced myself, he still went to the 2nd event (in the dark) and looks to be having a good time...until I questioned him for 67 seconds.
shame on us congress to have a member like this one. the very first who needs education, and a lot of it, is cohen who says something, does something else, not to mention about what he thinks...no nation, even his own does not need anyone like him as congressman or any other public service man. i hope he won,t be reelected and will be put on trial...for being an arrogant liar, a holocaust denier (in many countries a criminal charge)who abuses his office as congressman of us. thanks petros jan

SuliemanTheGreat 3 years ago
Do you live in "the city close to Glendale" or, as is grammatically correct, "a city close to Glendale." You need to pay closer attention in your evening ESL classes. Turks appear to be better at Genocide than using words. And, by the way, if you or your "associates" want to visit me in Glendale, my e-mail and phone number are available on my website. In the meantime, you are still ANONYMOUS, and, very likely, a paid high-school-drop-out, hired by the Turkish government to surf the Internet.

SuliemanTheGreat 3 years ago
saying that there is "an other side" to the fact of a genocide is like saying murder is justified....it is not......

I forgot to mention that when you write an ethnic descriptor, they're usually always capitalized! You all convieniently never talk about the mass amount of blood on your hands)! Oh Peter, come up from under your desk and let's get both ANCA & ATAA to arrange for an open public forum debate w/ full media coverage!
SuliemanTheGreat 3 years ago
Dearest SULLIED-MAN, my anonymous friend, i.e. paid Turkish agent: As you know, more than 40 American states, more than 20 countries, as well as the International Association of Genocide Scholars, have recognized the guilt of your ancestors regarding the Armenian Genocide. There is no need for a debate on that issue. The only debate left to have, is the debate (and negotiations) as to how much land & money the current Turkish government should hand over to the current government of Armenia.
301AD 3 years ago

SuliemanTheGreat 3 years ago
First off, SuliemanTheGreat misspells his own name. What a phoney. It is Suleiman. Second, as Obama/Biden prepare to acknowledge the Armenian Genocide, Turkish-government hired guns, like Suleiman, are working overtime and scrambling. But, when Peter Musurlian (301AD) offered to pay for TV time and debate Suleiman, he ran from the challenge like a little girl or, more appropriately, like Congressman Steve Cohen in the role of a little girl. The Turkish side is both wrong and full of cowards.
301AD 3 years ago
If Obama gets in, like it now appears, your Armo selfishness may very well be the begining of the end for all! Since Turkey's been insulted by the US far too many times because of Armo & Greek bribed politicians (Turkey's been a staunch ally & friend of the US for decades), she may w/draw from NATO & form "other alliances" w/ Russia/China & others. Obama's a pussy, so if Turkey decides to go into Armenia (Putin will have our back since the US won't risk a war over Armenia), nothing will happen!
SuliemanTheGreat 3 years ago
There are legitimate ethical issues involved in the making and posting of this video. Nonetheless, if you are an ethnic Turk, there are real questions about your motivations here. The world knows the Armenians were victims of genocide in World War I. The Turkish government should finally do the decent thing and admit it. They could even say "Look, it wasn't the Modern Turkish government, it was those crazy Ottomans"!
KennBurch 3 years ago
Until Armos debate us in an open public forum with full media coverage so that the whole world will see the real truth, then everyone's opinion of Armos (especially in Glendale) will remain the same! You Armos have bribed so many members of congress that it's pathetic! You never once mention in public that Armos slaughtered so many people (including thousands of Azeris in 1992) throughout history! You Armos will never change, that's why many more people are starting to talk like Cohen all over!
SuliemanTheGreat 3 years ago
There's nothing to debate. The Armenian Genocide happened. Everybody knows it happened. Everybody knows those people did nothing to deserve being slaughtered.
And there's no moral difference between David Irving demanding that Jews debate him on whether the Holocaust occurred and Turks demanding that Armenians debate them on the Genocide(the event that gave Hitler the idea for the Shoah, let me remind you.)
Also, I'm not Armenian and I've never been to Glendale in my life.
KennBurch 3 years ago
Sulleman, If you are for real...and not a PR-guy working for the Turkish government, please contact me offline. My website has all the info you need to get ahold of me by e-mail or phone. You are supposedly somewhere in the USA. I will travel to your town, gladly purchase 1 hour of TV time, so you and I can debate. If you are not for real...as I suspect, you will ignore my offer or simply make-up a reason for not doing this. My offer should be a dream come true for you.
301AD 3 years ago
To reply to both of your posts...no, I'm not a PR person. I don't need to be. The very fact that Armos refuse to debate us in an open pulic forum with full media coverage says it all! If you're really serious about having a debate (and then not running away like your people did a few years back with a post-PBS special where a 30 minute debate was scheduled between both sides after a showing of a program. Our people were there, but the Armos threatened PBS and told them that they BETTER cancel)!
SuliemanTheGreat 3 years ago
Sulleman: The Turks lost the PBS debate. It was an embarrassingly poor showing by the Turkish side. Meanwhile, it is obvious, by the language you use and your standard, predictable talking points, that you are a paid Turkish PR person. I gave you an opportunity to debate me and you avoided the opportunity. You had better go back to your PR-firm boss (Dick Gephardt and/or Dick Armey) and devise a new strategy, because the Obama/Biden Administration is about to recognize the Armenian Genocide. :)
301AD 3 years ago
Please provide me the proof/evidence of this PBS debate that the TURKS lost! I had spoken with people who said just the opposite! Justin McCarthy et al were there waiting when PBS canceled the scheduled debate! Why are you Armos so terrified? Look at the incident at UCLA when the Armos panicked when a Turkish Studies Department was about to be established. They crapped their pants because they can't (to this day) allow the public to hear the other side! Nothing will change your cowardly actions!
SuliemanTheGreat 3 years ago
Sulleman: First you request "proof," of the debate, then you go off on some other A-D-D brain drift. Are the talking points provided to you by Dick Gephardt and the Turkish government written in Ottoman? THERE WAS A PBS DEBATE. It is on YouTube. If you cannot even get that fact straight, I shouldn't expect you to be a worthy debate opponent. You have disappointed me. I thought PR guys in D.C. did their homework. The folks paying your firm with Turkish taxpayer dollars should demand a refund.
301AD 3 years ago
UCLA rejected the proposed Turkish studies chair because Turkey had put conditions for who the candidate should be which infringed upon academic integrity and freedom. Ottoman Turkish studies is an important topic and a chair would have been very useful at UCLA, but certainly not under the conditions Turkey had demanded in its proposed contract.

What kind of a hand did Nikki Tinker have in the making of this?
jhoff11 3 years ago
jhoff11...I, Peter Musurlian of Globalist Films, must respond with some bad news for people like you, who think everyone is conspiring.
301AD 3 years ago
Musulian continues: Tinker's Camp granted an interview with a top staffer, Cohen's Camp did not. Ultimately, I tried to question Cohen about genocide. His response to that "most serious crime against mankind," as he called it?? He looked into the camera and sang a song. Mr. Cohen is mentally unbalanced. The VIDEO tells that story, not me. But, you will have a chance in 2009 to see more in the documentary, "Turkey's Tool in Memphis: An Examination of a Congressional Drama Queen's Hissy Fit."
301AD 3 years ago
That the Commercial Appeal and the Memphis Flyer didn't criticize Cohen for his hate speech betrays these publications' lack of objectivity and why their best use is (and always will be)as catbox liners. Thanks to Peter for pointing out eloquently the absurdity of a genocide-denying, bigoted, dishonest, frivolous and painfully rhythm-less slavery apologizer. I need to wash my eyes with bleach after watching Cohen dance. Thanks to our Nashville brethren for the support.
jacksonbaker123 3 years ago
"Steve," as you call him, had a chance to stand in front of my camera for 60 seconds, say he thinks what happened WAS genocide, but, for whatever reason, does not support a resolution, like you. But "Steve," chose to say he was busy eating, and then, in a dismissive act of arrogance, Congressman Steve Cohen sang the USC Fight Song. The singing of a song, when asked about genocide, was tantamount to defecating on the graves of 1.5 million Armenians. Your buddy, "Steve," is quite a guy.
301AD 3 years ago
Furthermore, I certainly don't want Turkey to invade Kurdistan, which they very well might do if they are rejecting American forces in the Middle East. We rely on Turkey for support in almost every facet of our operations in Iraq, and the fact is that it would cost lives and money to restructure the war if Turkey abandoned us. I get your point of view, I get why you hate Turkey and why this makes you so angry , but even you have got to realize that now is not the time for this resolution.
MemphisGuy08 3 years ago
As an American, I resent any country, especially a NATO ally, threatening the USA. Are we Switzerland? Are we such cowards? Are we a Paper Tiger? I, for one, do not subscribe to the "Blackmail Doctrine." You and Steve Cohen can take money from the Turks, party in Istanbul and then come back to America and wrap yourselves in the American Flag. For a guy who has no family history of military service, Steve Cohen sure acts like he loves the troops. I guess talk is safer than action.
301AD 3 years ago
Nancy Pelosi, who supports the resolution, has said she's been told for years, "this just isn't the right time." By the Cohen standard, Pelosi doesn't care about the troops. And, who else disagreed with Cohen & voted for the resolution in committee: Lantos (D-CA), Chabot (R-OH), Green (D-TX), McCaul (R-TX). Also supportive: Obama & Biden. Joe, in fact, has co-sponsored every Armenian Genocide Resolution over the past 20 years. It sounds like Cohen is going to have to support Pontius Pilate.
301AD 3 years ago
(1)I can remember "dining" with Steve Cohen one, maybe two, maybe three times -- at least one of those times during the course of a formal interview.
(2)"a stout sort who enjoyed several pounds and more than a few years on the slightly built, middle-aged congressman": That's a "gratuitous insult?" I don't think so. If I can own up to being a "grandfather, who has been around the block a time or two," Peter can surely admit to being young and stocky.
jbaker7973 3 years ago
Jackson, You Memphis-media good old boys just want to fixate on the small stuff and avoid the two big issues: Cohen is emotionally unstable and a bigot. I wonder what Speaker Pelosi is this thinking now? A while back, she called Cohen, "The conscience of the Freshman Class." That, of course, was back when he was giving ostensibly heartfelt and intellectually-honest House-Floor speeches against genocide and slavery.
301AD 3 years ago
Since Congressman Cohen's days as "a foe" of slavery & genocide, the human gaffe machine has compared Palin to Pilate & Obama to Jesus AND he has disingenuously (and part of a cynical & desperate campaign tactic to explain his hissy fit) painted Armenian-Americans as terrorists and assassins.
301AD 3 years ago
During the now-infamous press conference, which Cohen held at home to hide from being intellectually challenged by real journalism, he totally lost control: verbally & physically. I'm sure you were quite impressed by his "machismo," as he shoved me out the door. The fact is, at only 13 years his junior, I could have verbally & physically sent Cohen back to the racist 1950s, where, quite obviously, he subconsciously still resides. But, I showed professionalism, restraint and emotional normalcy.
301AD 3 years ago
What happened to Steve Cohen? He lost it, pure & simple. So, when do you & your accomplices in the Memphis media examine Cohen's hypocrisy, bigotry & fragile mental state? It's all on display in my 10-minute video. But, I suspect, as an apparent unpaid extension of the Cohen Machine, you'll continue to sell-out your integrity and fixate on the irrelevant. It's sad to see you spending your journalist Golden Years rationalizing your support for a hateful, cynical & dimwitted career politician.
301AD 3 years ago
Cout me stupid. I am ID'd in this video as the person from whom Mr. Musurlian learned of the Cohen press conference. He had left a come-on on our (Memphis Flyer's) website with some soft-soaping praise soliciting me for an objective interview on the Cohen-Tinker race. He made no mention of the Armenian issue. Inadvertently, I said I would meet hm after Cohens press conference. Duh.
Musurlians questions to Cohen here plainly show that he is no objective documentarian. Merely a provocateur.
jbaker7973 3 years ago
jbaker7973 is Memphis Flyer senior editor & political columnist JACKSON BAKER. Baker.
301AD 3 years ago
Of course MR. BAKER'S longevity has resulted in him being too chummy with the emotionally-challenged Mr. Cohen, leaving Baker unable to really see how much of a loose-cannon his long-time dining partner has become. Steve Cohen is racking up gaffe after gaffe after gaffe, in just his Freshman year in Congress. Someone please stop him before he gaffes again. He's making the two Fords before him look like Rhodes Scholars. Perhaps Cohen's fourth-tier-law-school-education is not serving him well.
301AD 3 years ago
301AD 3 years ago
Congressman Cohen brought it upon himself, sending his thug Travis after me. That is on tape, too. Yes, on several occasions I was bumped by a Cohen staffer. It's all on tape. I did not travel to Memphis to stir things up. Had that been the case, I would have peppered Cohen non-stop -- from the beginning -- at the two events at which I filmed him. Instead, I waited until he was leaving the event. Please Jackson, have some honor and stop defending your loose-lipped, loose-cannon congressman.
301AD 3 years ago

My replies have been that he is a disgrace to TN as we had the likes of Davy Crokett, Andrew Jackson, Alvin York, plus many more who were the total opposite of this disgrace.
alright4u 3 years ago
Shonester, I've noted your comments about Cohen being "a jerkface," but, take a closer look at the video and you'll see there was no harassment. I spent less than 1 hour filming Cohen on Tuesday night. That was the first and only I'd ever been in his presence. At the first of two events, he didn't know who I was, thus hammed-it-up for the camera. After I introduced myself, he still went to the 2nd event (in the dark) and looks to be having a good time...until I questioned him for 67 seconds.
