just like to add something to make your last emerald easier

you don't need the speed shoes to get the last platform - you simply need to not press any direction after hitting the spring it takes you further and up to the platform

don't believe me try it when you hit the spring stop pressing forward and you will make it anyways enjoy

I finally manage to take all emeralds when i played this on the DS with classic collection. The last bonus level was not the hardest i think. Not to hard to rmember where to go you can aford some crashes and still manage to get enoufg rings. But there is no way i could have done this on the mega drive back in the days without the saving future.

you know you don't have to do any special stages to be able to turn into super sonic. there's a cheat that gives you all 7 chaos emeralds. then get 50 rings and jump.

Man I remember how ridiculously easy the emeralds were to get after I got a bit older. I used to go to my cousin's a lot, and all their mother let them have as far as consoles was the old Genesis, and I remember sitting down with them playing this and relearning the special stages and in about 2-3 hours I got to show them Super Sonic, and they loved it :D

its was cool when i got super sonic but i found one flaw that every time u had 50 rings or more and jumped up just enough away from the ground u turned into super. i found it very irritating on the stage before the Death Egg.

You can play a trick on the game. First, hit an invincibility box. Then go Super during the invincibility period. Super Sonic will retain the sparkles from the invincibility, but it will never go away!

on the first part of stage 7, all you have to do is jump from side to side, and you'll avoid the bombs regardless. Though, i'd suggest memorizing where the rings are.

You don´t really need the Speed Shoes to get that Star Post.

What I do is to run through those 2 loopings and the spiral path (running, not rolling) and then simply jump to get on top of that looping with that Shield Box. If you do that rolling it doesn´t work very well. It became pretty easy once I found that.

Didn´t know about the first Star Post of the Act II Though.
