in like 90% of the drum covers the drummer has almost the same drum setting(missing mid tom) and cymballs horizontal.

Most drum kits now days, come with no mid tom, well the for this style of music, bands are going for jazz kits, ie ddrum gretsch, that nice deep sound.

But, his kit looks to me like a pearl or mapex comes with an extra small tom and he has used the small tom and taken the 2 mid toms off instead.
