I have this game pre-ordered so I was wondering can you share a few things with me? Are the controls tight, like the cover system, disarm moves, counter system, and hand to hand combat? Can you also tell me the control scheme and what buttons are used for what? Also are the controls tank controls?
Controls are good, the movement of your characters are fine, cover is easy to find but sometimes getting Jack to use the cover because of the Cover/Run button being the same can have a slight delay if you run to the cover of course, if you play sort of stealthy then this isn't an issue.
Disarming is all about hitting the right attack and then pressing a button when prompted, wait a sec and a headshot is a definite.
@Shatterstar187 Counters are fairly easy in the early levels but later opponents know how to block and especially counter you, the brawler's for example can put you down if you're not careful. The big guys are hell too.
CQB is fun, learn combos, get Shadow involved, take a hostage, throw them into a crowd, electric fence, off a building, off a train etc is surprisingly fun. Takedowns are about stringing a combo well and then pressing the button when prompted. Press the Shoot button & BANG!
thanks when u beat it can u let me know how long it takes on the hardest level and by that gameplay the area seemed open how much can u look around and stuff i did like the hardout kills with the gun and beatdown that looked badass
@twiztidradio Will do, I'll try and get some more tidbits of gameplay up also without spoiling anything. And for the takedowns, there's an even more brutal one involving a shotgun but I won't spoil that as it's brilliant when you first see him do it.
@twiztidradio Depends on what you like. It's a good game don't get that wrong, the fighting is brutal, the takedowns even more, the player control is good, the Shadow (dog) sections are quite tense, the AI is difficult on the Hardest level and watching your ammo is something you need to do especially if Shadow gets taken down.
All in all I'd rate it 8/10 thus far.
There hasn't been a game like this in ages where kicking the shitake out of everyone is the main focus & it does it really well. =)
This actually looks fun. Very fun, to be honest. That slow-mo headshot thing looks like it could get annoying though.

It's a good game don't get that wrong, the fighting is brutal, the takedowns even more, the player control is good, the Shadow (dog) sections are quite tense, the AI is difficult on the Hardest level and watching your ammo is something you need to do especially if Shadow gets taken down.
All in all I'd rate it 8/10 thus far.
There hasn't been a game like this in ages where kicking the shitake out of everyone is the main focus & it does it really well. =)
