  • Vietnam: Proof America only cares about wasting lives and money on mudhuts in the middle of a rice field while the commies in Hanoi were our primary target but couldn't attack them because of political meddling.

  • what's the name of the soundtrack?

    thanks for answering.

  • @USAmadeinchina CNN and the washington post are reliable sources. Though I havent seen anything on their websites and Channels about Vietnam TBH. Well, your original comment was unnecessary. This occurred over 50 years ago. You can be mad at the politicans that are all dead by now (mostly). Americans can go to Vietnam now and be safe and go as tourists. What happened, happened. The US never should have went and that is the view of 99% of Americans. A waste of life for both Americans and Viet.

  • @alwood1993

reliable resources filtered by the american propaganda machine, you mean?

  • @k915 Your post lacks sense...? With your logic I can just say anything that comes from the news or anything that comes out of anybodies mouth is filtered through a so called "american propaganda machine". Therefore, I would only listen to crackpots and ignorant people, probably what you do...right? Next time, try to come up with something that makes sense.

  • @alwood1993

There are so many other sources, each one of them has been affected by political and economical interest of different states and people.

That's why you shouldn't blindly believe in CNN's news. I'm not telling you to believe TV China's or Russia Today's viewpoints either - its all about how much brains you have and how you can judge things - is what they're saying logical or not?

You jump to petty insults. Which is a sign you're just another retard. Have fun.

  • @k915 Nothing I said was petty. Calling me "just another retard" is pretty petty though. I think its time you eat your own words.

  • @alwood1993

It's truly laughable that you skip the rest of my comment for the last sentence. I feel sorry for you, not being able to accept a different opinion, that is actually better and more truthful than yours :/

  • @k915 You last sentence warranted me not responding to the rest of your post. I do not trust any news source blindly. I doubt you do either. I'm not sure where you got that. Your comment was ironic and hypocritical. Maybe its time you examine yourself? l..o..l..

  • @USAmadeinchina Your assuming you are right because you are listening to one soldier who could have alternative motives for telling you lies. He is recalling something that happened 50 years ago. Better to read independent books from history professors. These guys were against the war all along. You assume too much and you are not credible, nor is your source. Bye.

  • @USAmadeinchina The Americans were there for over 5 years. At the 1st sign of trouble? Clearly this is untrue. Maybe its time for a history lesson. Read a book dude. cya

  • @USAmadeinchina By "probably" I wasnt going to the extremes like you are. I was not there so I say probably. Do you know for sure? Nope. What exactly is the "coward American way"? Storming the beaches of Normandy to liberate France from the Nazi's, Or how about helping the Libyan people gain their Independence. From what you can read in accounts from what happened when America pulled out of Vietnam, such as the "reforms" that the communist North made, we were there for a good reason...

  • @USAmadeinchina Meh, dont be so sure. These villagers were probably aligned with the vietcong. Anyways, many Americans weren't even alive when this was going on. Whats the difference between murdering american citizens and bombing a village? Alot

  • yeah the americans left the hmong to die wow

  • technicolor much?

  • I want to find the soundtrack to this clip...anyone know where???

  • Never mind found name in comments "Rescue Dawn" Thanks anyway

  • Please name the movie in the clip above. Would like to watch it. Serious question Thanks for reply.

  • If napalm is gasoline with a thickening agent why are there large trails of white smoke instead of the black smoke produced by burning oil? Is white phosphorous used as a detonating agent?

  • american shame bcus this yank can't even spell vietnam

  • American shame!

  • American shame!

  • @fabiobayerl American shame huh? Yeah, we were soo bad to the Vietnamese that after the fall of Saigon, the Vietnamese were using every boat they could find to escape to the custody of the US.. Thats how 'horrible' were to them.. The NVA used civilians are targets... Example: planting bombs on wounded kids and women to explode on 'enemy' medics who try to help them... THATS ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE NVA right there... U watch too many movies, kid..

  • @hwoods01 Right on, anti US sentiment is what you get if you only watch movies and never read historical books like for example "the black book of communism" or "an American amnesia" etc or history in general.

  • beautifully horrifying

  • music fail. either the Doors or Jose Gonzales. accept no subsitute

  • didnt you guys see the 3 tank divisions and 40 thousand vietcong troops down there?

I mean, you cant miss them, look at it again. Its right there at 0:34 - smack on the house.. eerrr.. i mean fortified artillery position with triple A and 500 armed guards around it.

  • @noradnorthcom NORTH AMERICA SUPPORTS EXTERMINATION ALL TERRORISTS!

  • By 1965 though Xiem was assassinated, his despotic homicidal policies at the behest of CIA, had guaranteed a well armed and active rebellion.

This air raid is in residential farmland, and there are NO RESISTING MILITARY TARGETS PRESENT to justify the deployment of area-destruction incendiary ordnance.

Does ANYONE see any resistance in the Bomb Damage Assessment camera video, that being the point of filming the strike?

  • This Suspected Enemy Basecamp had no improved positions, no active firing positions, and no observable enemy presence or activity at all. Looks like yet another Ethnic Cleansing from the sky.

  • @centurion180ad And you could deduce all of this from a 2min clip on youtube, decades after it happened? Bravo sir! You clearly know everything, please tell me were the actual VC tunnels were, Im so intrigued.

  • @Devilsfurry Are you a student of the Vietnam Conflict, Bomb Damage Assessment or Rules of Engagement? If /you/ can't see it from the clip, neither is a pilot. Napalm won't hurt a tunnel, and innocent people expecting an extermination often dug a family trench to hide in because they knew mass murder was on the way. A LAWFUL aim point must be on a military target. People's homes & fields are forbidden, unless occupied by a RESISTING military target.

  • @centurion180ad How do you know there are no VC or NVA held up in those buildings? The Pilot may not be able to see everything but his field of visions isnt limited to just forward facing, and the chance that there is a FAC on the ground is pretty good, it could be very possible that this is a CAS missions called in by a unit who took fire from those buildings.

  • @Devilsfurry It is too long to explain in 500 characters. Please read A BRIGHT SHINING LIE, a dual history of the Vietnam Conflict and biography of Lieutenant Colonel then Senior Advisor John Paul Vann.

1965 was the beginning of American buildup almost no large infantry units present, there is no sign of FAC marking smoke, and there is no sign of any enemy movement, fortification or ground fire. Charlie doesn’t hide under a bed, waiting for a napalm tank to crash through a roof.

  • @centurion180ad too bad u wernt there. in the village that is.

  • @wallieburger what part of this thread, are you replying to? Are you a COINTEL traitor against America, spying against your own country?

  • @centurion180ad the part where ur saying we had to right to bomb it.

  • @wallieburger Yeah I understand, you are a COINTELPRO criminal.

I have always maintained that the War Against Vietnamese Independence was conducted against the Articles Pertaining to the Conduct of War on Land as a long series of War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity.

  • @centurion180ad yea some fucked up shit was done by our troops, they wernt all doing it tho. and I bet you couldent/wouldent fight for your country, in fact I bet your fat and out of shape.

  • @wallieburger I'm already a USN veteran from the Cold War, and I've already had my ass on the line.

At the time I was 180 pounds of rock-hard muscle. I’ve put on a few pounds since then, but I am still able to get up and go if it becomes necessary.

My larger point is that what was done, was ordered by policy from on high, not an Ad Hoc tactical expedient by troops on the ground.

  • And i would ask the plane pilots: What is it for a life, knowing that you have killed a lot of people by burning them? It is some kind of very sad, that you can't leave this world for now on saying, that you was a good human being. It is sad, isn't it?

  • @hanros98

oh... so we saved them from the big bad communism? did anyone ever asked them if they wanted to be liberated?

nothing like that...usa just began this war because of the SEATO-contract. they used napalm and agent orange... all "weapons" that are only cruel... but anything for the win.. right?!

  • @tralafiti hey hey calm down, i was being sarcastic. i share the same view as you about americans. funny thing that americans called for democracy but when the opportunity for an election arose they prevented it from happening because they knew the communist would win a landslide election

  • @hanros98

it wasn´t in an offence way....

but i can get really angry when some people think something like napalm etc is fum or anything...

  • @tralafiti do you mean "fun" in your last sentence

  • Napalm is damm effectiv, always work !!!

And the Skyraider is a DAMM GOOD PLANE !!!!

hehehe would be cool too drop Napalm in Afganistan

  • What about Khmer Rouge?

  • AD-1 Skyraider with 'Tiny Tim' or Zunni rockets to be sure whtever they were hitting was pretty much explosive..those rockets didn't make that much of a bang.

  • ah, the smell of napalm....

  • Death from above...

  • who won?

  • @nowool

everybody won, they make clothes and sneakers and we buy them.

    fair enough?

  • God Bless America

  • wow its very preety colors but just think a how many inocent people are down there getting killed

  • innocent people being killed is a part of sad. very sad, but thats how it is.

  • @hypercarbon surely this war was about liberating these innocent people from communism not killing them

  • @hanros98 its hard to liberate the people that are trying to kill you.

  • @hypercarbon the never wanted the democracy america was enforcing upon them, just like in afganistan

  • At the top of frame 1:56, You can see a napalm canister bounce into the air.

  • and @ 1;15 you can see white phosphorus

  • On my channel, I have created a log of vidoes of bombings of Vietnam and bombings by Nazi Germany. I invite people to look at this for comparison.

As I stated in my disclaimer, I am NOT alleging that the Vietnam War was morally equivalent to Hitler's war. (One has to be cautious about drawing conclusions from war footage.) However, I believe that general similarities between the images of these bombings raises difficult questions.

  • I love the killing of communists of all shades. naplam was a nice way of doing it.

  • dang those skyraiders can do some damage

  • That footage was used in a recent viet nam movie 'Rescue Dawn ' starring Christian Bale. True story of Dieter Dengler and his escape from a POW camp . Pretty good.

  • bombing villages and farm land the VC and NVA were in tunnels. Sorched earth policy Americans should be proud

  • et oui l'enfer est sur terre aussi

un enfer créé par les hommes pour quoi au fait ?

nous sommes une espèce belliqueuse qui ne mérite pas la terre sur laquelle on vit

  • Disgraceful

  • Yeah!!! Get some mother fuckers!

  • fuck you

  • That was horrible what we did in Vietnam.

  • "Hell is never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied."

  • bullshit
