Haute Couture is about the finely constructed garment, not about the models. But usually high end designers are very selective of who walks in their shows, so the models are usually the ones at the top of their game, mostly European girls, or ones who are "IN" at that time.

Well, it does take alot of skill and experience to walk in those gowns. The amount of fabric used is HUGE, expect many of them to weigh more than fifteen pounds. Top that off with mile-high heels and strutting ain't that easy.

Also, when it comes to Dior they have no reason not to choose the best supermodels in this business. The fact that they are using Raquel Z. and Coco brings alot to it.

I remember watching behind the scenes on youtube about Dior, Tanya mentioned that Dior selects certain models to wear certain couture garments that compliment their body structure/facial structure.

Some models have a bit longer legs, some models may have more masculine than feminine traits, some models have prominent collar bones, etc

Even though these are very small details, it really comes together and makes sense when you see each girl in their garment..

personally, i think thats the best show to date. currently my favourite XD galliano is a genius
