It's a common grammatical mistake, basically "I" is a pronoun that must be the subject of a verb. "Me" is a pronoun that must be the object of the verb. Russell joked that Hong Kong people know better English than the native speakers, which is funny because I grew up in Hong Kong, and virtually everyone does speak English there.
