We will all need candles for sure when we're living in cardboard boxes at the side of the road. This is a bit manipulative really, sometimes nobody wants to buy candles and thats just the way it is. The "it's your fault your not doing well" thing is not always true. Some people just do not have the ability to sell candles. This sounds a bit like avon, a lot of work for not much reward. Also with the cost of groceries rent etc the last thng someone cares about is the cost of candles.

@Cdogpyjamas Greetings, it's all in the mindset my friend! One must have an unwavering desire to succeed. This is why some Avon reps (or candle reps, or insert any direct sales company here) make nothing and some are many making tens of thousands of dollars per month.  The only difference between those who flourish and those who don't? Their attitudes and the power of their "why'!

@aletheaanderson This is why a lot of people who are hopeless at selling try and stick it out in direct sales and fail miserably, because they feel it is their fault, rather than realizing their talents do not lie in this industry. With some people it simply does not matter how hard they try they will not succeed doing this, which doesn't mean there is not something else they are capable of doing. And of course the person getting cuts off them wants them to hang around..
