What do you mean "ask him if this is simplified Chinese"? I mean, the lyrics are clearly Japanese. But the author used the wrong Kanji. The Hiragana are of course Japanese. But some of the kanji are wrong.

i just want to give my opinion since im both chinese and japanese. I can tell u that the examples listed by hayato was right, not all simplified chinese are used in kanji, those are some examples that would use tranditional chinese instead of simplified (what hayato listed) japanese kanji consist both simplified and traditional in general, u might see some that seems to be not connected to both, it's has alot to deal with the history of the language, no point of going that far.

What are you even talking about? Simplified Chinese wasn't really there until the communist decided to use them (yes they "existed" before but really just an idea, not really used).

Japanese use a lot of Chinese characters and it has been that way for a long time. It's not like they suddenly picked up simplified Chinese after 1949.

look, japanese has its own set of kanji characters. simplified and traditional chinese has its own set of kanji characters and they differ only on some of the characters, not all.

obviously (well not to you apparently) the kanji in my previous comment are the ones used by simplified chinese. i know because i've studied japanese for 5 years. i KNOW which kanji the japanese language uses.
