Do you think when you draw a Turkish bow tip actually should not be bent forward but the backward to prevent sting from touching Tip or Tip/Kasan bend. ? I am not an expert but I would not call that bow a Turkish bow because of Tip/Kasan angle and curve of Kasan.
its not that easy to make 50lb light organic Turkish bow. Core and horn was 4 mm each ? what wood and tickness was the siyah when you bent 15mm?.. thanks
I like what you've done -but for you own sake....if its the first time your experimenting with a new bow....WEAR SOME SAFETY GLASSES!! I used to build bows as a bit of a hobby...damned thing can go off like dynamite in the face. Be careful, man!
nice bow, and nice to see how it is bending equally during the draw. But, i noticed ''knees'' under the ''bash'', as i know it is not usual in turkish bows.Anyway, will save it in my favorites.Did u use some pattern?
Thank you for your high appreciation. But full gallop is a bit too much for me. Short trotting - is more or less...

Beautiful! It must great joy to loose some arrows with that bow on the back of a horse in full gallop.

Thank you. There are two more bows like this, made in the meantime.
Despite that they are less fast than synthetic bows, shooting is more comfortable.

Здравствуй Гонг, сколько килограмов прочность этот лук?
ViperaBerus70 2 years ago
Имеешь ввиду "килограммов сила натяжения лука"?
Еще не измерял. По ощущениям - около 27, может быть 30 кг.

Tried shooting. Nice. Even at -10 deg. Centigrades. Did not break.
