Secret Agent Man was also a great tv show Patrick did....he is also the 1st cousin of Patrick McNee( John Steed) from the Avengers ...in case no-one knew that
Today is 13/1/11 and I can't believe it is exactly 2 yrs since Pat left us. I lost my Father-in-law over Xmas & I am reliving this awful sense of loss. To sum up my immediate emotions when viewing 'The Prisoner' 30 yrs ago (which never leaves us but is never recaptured) it would be the excitement of 'heavy brass' accompanied by the wonderment of what our hero is going to go through THIS week! Since 'The Jailbird' I draw 'Oscar & Wild' for the 'Bugle' - watch out for a tribute to Pat soon! BCNU
Great montage and terrific choice of track...i got a question. This is driving me crazy .i recognised the b/w picture of him with beard and moustache at 0.52 but can't work out where it's from...please tell me.
I was absolutely stunned when his death was announced. I simply couldn't believe it. Like Sir Bobby Robson, you just think they are going to go on forever.
Hi Bluesummer! I sadly have never seen it :-( I would love to hear more about it!!! The Quare Fellow is another I haven't seen...that will be on TCM next Saturday, hooray!!! It's so wonderful to find more who adore Patrick like I always have :-)
Great tribute. My favorite actor. Of all his roles, my favorite was The Scarecrow--it scared me as a kid, Iam glad you included a picture of him as the Scarecrow. He was quiet about his personel life, is that a picure of his wife near the end? Do you know much about him--did he have children, hobbies?
Hi Snowgirl~Yes that's his wife Joan at the end. They were married for 58 years! (Two daughters, one of which was in a Columbo episode w/him~ that was Catherine Gosh, I know a ton of stuff, feel free to e-mail me, it's a bit to write here, LOL. It's safe to say I'm a huge fan, had a crush on him since I was a little girl. So lovely to find other people who love him like I do :-)
hello Charity...I had a crush on him too.....i remember first seeing him in a film called Nor the Moon By Night with Michael Craig, love story based inAfrica....that is when he wormed his way into my heart.....do you know anything about this movie ?cheers,
@bluesummer33 not one of his favorites he was under contract at the time and made i believe 4 movies he was not proud of , because of his nature the studio check ebay released him of his obligation and he was free to pursue other creative endeavors check ebay you may just find nor the moon by night
@donnyab your comment a surprise hopefully made as sarcasm, an error on my part in a hurry to make a helpful comment to bluesummer33, the subliminal part, not really, just that there is a person that is the best source for pmg movies that sells dvds on ebay, i did not want to be that specific due to copyright questions. there is always assorted movies to pick from. thanks for bringing my typing error to everyones attention, i will be more careful in the future.
It's not a very good movie. Italian funny western, with french, american, italian, german and canadian actors and actresses. Pat is great anyway, as usual :-)
@nickhirst999 the movie is a spaghetti western usa title trinity is back again from 1975 for more information concerning his body of works a good start would be the only biography available danger man or prisoner by roger langley also check ebay for there is a source for the hard to obtain movies of which i have a stockpile good hunting
@nickhirst999 the picture is from a truly terrible (and unintentenionally very funny) spaghetti western he made that was called "The Genius" in the USA. Supposedly directed by Sergio Leone. It had a really quite good cast and music by Morricone but was one BAD, BAD film!
Great choice of sound track. 'Lord I'd take an overdose if I knew what was going down.' Incredible!

They wanted him to play James Bond. He said "Fuck that noise, those movies are shitty." and he didn't do them.
Much respect, Patrick.

Nice! Where is the picture of PM with the hat and moustache at 0.39 - 0.42 from? I would give a star rating but it doesn't work when I do.
nickhirst999 3 years ago
I'm not entirely sure what film/T.V. program that's from...I found it among a collection of pictures spanning P.M.'s thespian career.
sexysadie1977 3 years ago
It's from the movie "A Genius, Two Partners and a Dupe" (1975)
yannlb71 3 years ago
Thanks! I've not heard of that one. Will look out for it.
