  • You actually don't see a UV light because it is out of the visible light spectrum. It is a blue light connected in series to the UV. Also the adventurer is lighter but takes those stupid watch batteries. Also, coffee filters are just as good as a prefilter. And they offer one that is hand crank and solar powered.

  • @spiderpig85 fuck gtfo dude we need to give here respect dude she is hot and nice

dude she is a man in a girlsbody with a damn good character she is good!

like the best! woman on earth! thumbs up if u thinkso

  • Silly woman, that's not a kitchen...

  • Even the hiking community is full of luddites.

  • dam u talk to much

  • the fact that it reliance on batteries makes it completely useless for a real adventurer. Just boil the water, you have better chance to find materials to start a small fire out in the wild than to find a shop where you can buy new batteries.

  • @karieltheone

so you dont have to run every day for batterys. 4 batterys hold for 2000 times filtering 0,5 liters. so you got 1000 liters with one barttery pack. not that bad!

  • Can you use a steripen with a bladder system that has more the 1 litter?

  • Hmmm our water is contaminated? I don't know how many issues I have with this item and that statement. Bottled water is not tested at all by ANY government agency in the United States. Municipal/Public Water Supply is tested regularly as in daily. Contaminants??? Well lets assume that is true, this filter device does not remove all contaminants, only living organisms are killed and even that remains to be proven 100% effective.

  • LOL bet she uses that for more than just filtering her water ;)

  • Better off boiling your water, more likely to kill all living organisms than this thing. Buy an aluminium water bottle and then all you do is collect the water and boil over a fire, let it cool and you have potable drinking water.

  • @lexacor you may not have tht much time, and youmay not be able to have fire where your going.

  • @TheTacticalsurvivor Yea ok so boiling is the best and then a small amount of bleach is second best for removing LIVING organisms.

  • For a video idea please teach people the proper technique to take a "squat" in

the woods, nothing kills fun out of camping like crapping all over yourself !!

  • she's hot

  • @jtdrummer2112

And she can set up your campsite also....gotta love it.

  • I wondered how long it was going to take her to come across the steripen. (6 months) Here is a review from Heckle and Jeckle. Entitled: SteriPEN UV Water Purifier Review! By targetpointgr Selica, I like the cute bow in your hair, the pink toe nails and the Madonna’s wristband… (Work it...Work it.) Just don’t let one of these little bastards knock you Up! :o) (lol)
  • If you’re interested in this product.

I recommend buying the classic Steripen.

The costs of operating the new Steripen is

    approximately a Dollar a minute.

  • As others have said, the steripen does not filter or purify. the UV simply cripples microbes so they cannot reproduce. if you pulled the water out of a dank, stagnant pool, the water will still taste dank and stagnant. These are great for people traveling, but if you want clean water you still need to prefilter. If I have to carry a filter, how many micropur tablets can i get for the cost of the steripen? no batteries, fraction of the weight.

  • @hongkongzorro Point well made, and how much simpler and more assured are you to use purification tablets.

  • The steripen is NOT a filter. It's a device that kills living organic material. It does nothing to filter the water. At it's best (when the water is clear and the UV light can penetrate the water), it provides the same level of treatment as solar mechanisms like in your previous video only much faster. THANKS!!! :o)

  • Thank you for the information, I will have to try one of those pens out. Once again, thanks!

  • Why does everything on her channel seem to have a sexual reference :) "Peak" "Pump" "Insert" . Pens that look like penis's, hot girl with outfits. What are we selling here? :) LOL, I need some hot chicks for my channel :)

  • filter and boil i would trust one these pens.....

  • As you said, it requires batteries which can fail and are a weight penalty. Unless you have other accessories it doesn't filter out silt or debris and will only do 1 liter at a time. I've also read that the unit sometimes doesn't work due to low electrical conductivity in the water. For me I am using a Sawyer water filter. Quite flexible and I can always boil water after filtering if I'm really concerned.

  • you need to keep the electrode submersed if course during the whole period of zapping the water. The journey is a good one in the steripen range

oh course they don't filter out chemcals r heavy metals like copper etc so always be wary what you are drinking and from where !

i might find out where she does the reviews and collapse somewhere, cry for help and get the kiss of life oh yea baby !

  • nice review. Personaly think it's not worth the money but atleast your not tasting iodine or chlorine right. mahalo and keep em commin

  • So the traveler $59 thinking about getting a jetboil but man the $100 is up there it isn't too bad when you take into account the JB is a pot and a burner combo that can double as a serving cup because of its innovative lid and insulator wrap. If I look at it as $33 for a cup $33 for a pot and $33 for a decent burner then I might be able to make the trip to believing it is worth it. If I were homeless and needed to use this device daily I would spring for one no questions asked.Stiripen neat.

  • @cdltpx make an alcohol stove out of an old alu bud can dude, you won't look back

forget the jetboils, msr pocket rockets and gas bottles

    :D

  • @sweetypie000 I have an alcohol stove kind of liked the complete package of a jet boil but you are right the alkie stove is all I need. After all $100 is $100 maybe I can catch one of sale one day or at a yard sale but paying that much for that is not cool unless you use it every day.

  • Thank you, this is very helpful! Sure beats drinking dirty water.

  • Good work!

I have the model with the rechargable batteries, and the solar charger case. However, one drawback to mine is; it takes 3 days for the built in solar charger to recharge dead batteries.

  • I like also that it uses the excellent CR123 litthium batteries (5-15year storage life).

  • looks like a "girl product" if you catch my drift. oh man and it takes batteries too!!!

    :-D

    -TEW

  • @theeastwatch - lol, you are a funny man :P

  • they only thing about the adventure series is its oval and doesnt work directly with the filter.

  • were you leaving the steripen in the water long enough for it to sterilize that water? or does it take longer than that?

  • @FluffPuffkotj 50-90 seconds 1/2 litre - 1 litre and it's got a great cool light ! the filter you can get fits a regular nalgene bottle and cantene

  • @sweetypie000 thank you

  • Where the hell have you been?

  • Thanks for the info
