  • shows proddys for what they are

  • 02:57 That old bastard is nothing without his baton and his gang.

  • Religion is definately one of humanitys failings , it has caused so much tragedy the world over ! Im glad the people of NI are living in relative peace now , they deserve it ! Great upload Monkeyapplenerd !

  • @mazyrun09 The Northern Irish troubles were not about religon! They were about a desire to end British rule in Northern Ireland by republicans! If you read the history of Ireland you see that there has been conflict between Britain and Ireland for many centuries from a time when both countries were Catholic. The two sides in the Northern Ireland conflict merely used the names Catholic and Protestant to identify each other. Not because they were actually devout believers in those faiths.

  • is that joe mahon talking in it?????????

  • Excellent documentary...

  • @MultiGunner666 I am glad you liked it

  • @monkeyapplenerd Its a classic example of people banding together and defeating state oppression, just like what I studied in our class about the history of the state and its relationship with its citizens...greetings from Catholic Philippines...

  • @MultiGunner666 I agree completely. You might be able to make a connection to the people power movement that swept away Marcos in the Philippines.

  • @BurntOakTree I did see the riots film online here, in fact I saw one video where one of the royals car was attacked. Don't mess with young people we are the most dangerous segment of the population.

  • @monkeyapplenerd But you can always be eliminated

  • None of this crap would have happened had it not been for british CONTINUED imperialism.

  • it's sad to think that this stuff literally drove my family out of the bog and all the way to america, and i haven't been home since.

  • ps. gregory campbell, my local MLA. i can't wait for the day he's replaced, even by a different DUP politician as it would inevitably be, just so long as he's not the voice "representing" me any more.

  • Hey Catholics... The famine is over! Go home!

  • @LordWellington15 Hey LordWellington15... we're not at a football match in glasgow, so that doesn't make much sense in relation to this video. Do you have any concept of Irish history or do you just like spouting empty sectarian rhetoric all over the internet for the lols?

  • @monogirl3 Very well said.

  • @LordWellington15 They are home,you fucking clown.

  • Thanks. One comment, so far: serious gap at 6:41.

  • @stevenredwards I am sorry I did not record this so I couldn't prevent that, I do hope you enjoyed the program though.

  • Gregory Campbell is, and always will be, a scumbag.

  • why did they demo the falts? Was your dad a provo?

  • so your from the bogside, that's cool. It probably doesn't look like it does in this video does it, a lot of time has gone by I imagine a lot has changed.

  • thanks I disabled rates to help keep the video out of YT's attention. High ratings catch their eye and since this is owned by BBC, I could have it taken down.

  • @888soyjuice nigger

  • what is it that john casey states? the bit where it all goes green?

  • it says John Casey inscribed the legend "You are now entering Free Derry"

  • saor dhoire go brach

  • Great video thanks,, I don't understand why more Irish Nationalists do not support the general idea of Ulster Nationalism, the British would be gone, all the people of the land would be represented, the land would be run for the people by the people. is it such a bad idea?

  • i don't see that working because neither side wants it, the Brits want to be part of the UK and the Irish want to be united with the south.

  • ok thanks for your reply, I am catholic with republic family so I would love to see 32C but I cant get the idea out of my head, I wish there was common ground or unity,, too much Irish history has fried my brain I think ;) Sonas ort!

  • So informative. Thanks a lot, friend, for putting these videos up.

Sometimes we non-Irish fail to understand what really went on during the troubles. Videos like this can only help build bridges in understanding.
