Hi, please don't breed your rabbits, there are so many in rescues that are waiting for homes. I know it makes extra money but I just wish people would adopt instead. Most rabbits when bought do not make it past there 1st year because people do not know there proper diet (Timothy Hay) They do not do their research and end up killing their rabbit. Rabbits DO NOT belong in a cage or hutch. They belong inside. What is the purpose being locked up. SAD! I have 4 inside my house all potty trained. They
@pegerickson You have one opinion and others have theres...I BREED rabbits for show..and they are perfectly fine not running around my house...many rabbits are harmed more while running about in a house then inclosed within a cage.
@fidelling thank u, for responding. Since I have written my last response I have 12 indoor rabbits now. Yes, I think they are safer, but in a pen indoors not a cage. Mine have one specific area in my home in their pens but I let them out daily to run in our great room. They r so funny and love it. They jump in the air & travel as fast as they can around the room ;) They do need to get out of cage to run & play. People should have a pen in house 4 them if caged outside, just to get out & play...
@pegerickson what iv been a rabbit owner for the past 7 years all my rabbits live out side in out side hutches they get freedom every day and come in side if a thunder storm or on really hot days.
and its more natural and less dangerous as long as you watch them if they are insides its to hard to watch as they chew and i meen chew everything. and what is timonthy hay though i feed mine mostly oaten hay some times lucern hay
@Horseloverkooder thanks for responding. I now have 12 rabbits all indoors in my home. I made a "Bunny Den" ;) If u know how to house them indoors it is super easy. I am just offering a friendly suggestion on how to do it. Your concern was chewing. During storms or heat, if u cannot bring in 100%of the time get an Xpen which is a pen that easily fits in your kitchen or anywhere. If they dig the tile will be fine, a large plastic cat box filled w/Hay, plastic toys 2 play with & a card bored box..
@Horseloverkooder continued....Trust me, u will be super surprised how social & sweet a rabbit is when out of a cage. They need to run & jump & play. Mine r crazy funny & rabbits r cleaner than cats & the 3rd most adopted house pet in the U.S. Most people do not know how to house there rabbits & think they belong outside. RABBITS R EASILY POTTY TRAINED! U can even put a hay box in there cage to train within a week. They like to use the bathroom & eat in the same spot. They r very social pets..
@Horseloverkooder continued... You can order supplys & stuff from Bunnybunch in Montclair Calif. that is where I get my stuff & volunteer 4 times a month. I am a business owner & work from home so it is easy 4 me to have all the rabbits inside. Friends & family could not believe I would have one in the house until they came over the first time I got my first one. Now many family members have indoor buns. My house is immaculate & does not look like a barn;) Look on Utube & search Bunnybunch 4 ex.
@Horseloverkooder Lastly, I just want people to know how social rabbits are. Everyone of them if u take them out of a cage. They are just like a cat but extremly social. U will never know unless u spend time w/them but take them out of those horrible cages. U wouldn't put a cat in a cage. I am very passionate about how a rabbit lives it's life & just want to inform people how easy it is Bunny bunch will give u an idea of how to do it. They sale the pens there too. I have cord covers so they roam
@pegerickson I breed mine for show and all rabbits in shelters are spayed or neutered and you can't show them if they are. Mine go outside in a big outdoor pen. And rabbits are outside and inside animals.
That wire is VERY bad or there feet but nice video anyway you should do something about the bottem of the cage
