  • Also are you strumming the strings you are pushing down on or all of them?

  • @littletaco003 i should have a video on here for strumming but its pretty much down down up down up down ect..if you listen to the song its pretty easy to get the gist of it and i strum all strings but mute the bottom 2 strings since they arnt really used hope that helps if you need more help i'd be glad to make another video its been years since i've done anything so its about that time

  • @clayon89 yeah could you please make a more visual vivid video for me,im like super new at the guitar so i have no clue whats going on,even when someone on your video commented and said drop d and how to change all that i was confused,i have a 30 dollar cheap guitar so i dunno what im doing.thanks i would greatly appreciate it sincerely billy.

  • What Is the strum to this down, down , up , down , up?

  • ok sorry i can't comment back as fast as i like with things going on in life but short and sweet for a beg. do drop d beacuse your not gunna have to do all the tuning down a step and all that jazz so it will be just one sting the ppl arguing on here are the ppl that are very closed minded about how something is done and dont realize their is ALWAYS more then one say to play a song they just think they know everything and such good luck keep practicing and you'll get it might remake video soon

  • you sound like seth rogan <3

  • are you bob bryar with hair?

  • Ok I read your blurb before posting this comment but I'm just curious as to how you can say you are playing it in the same key just different tuning when you can't actually play open low C parts.

  • im still confuzed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • man you did an awsome job i learned it quick

  • SLLLLOOOOWWW DOWN! :P other wise this kicks ass soo... yeah :D

  • wow yeah dude nice job. this is definetly the correct way to play it

  • hah the girl on the wall was my gf at the time.......still love that woman

  • Hmmm Whose that lady's pick in the background? Mysterious...

  • lol at 3:09 he flicks u off btw nice video

  • I love you!!!

  • Just to let you know, i very well sux at the guitar (even though i really try) and your speed in showing and since D is basic, I enjoyed it. (i get some of the beginning part, I faved it to go back an practice when i can, so umm yea. Thanx. ^-^ Oh and Any of you a-holes keep messing with him your a dumb fuck cause its good for beginners!!! Have a nice day!

  • i didnt make it to finish it ! i start it .. i played the beggining but i stuck! anyway your cover is awsome! :)

  • I can't thank you enough. When i first learned this song for a friend's birthday, i realized the chords were wrong, and i've been looking for the right way to play it. You're great.

  • thanks bro!

as for the haters. why did you comment if you hate it? lol he said he likes it this way, what's up with ya'll lol it's not about copying it's about your own style...

  • you don't know how to play it dumb ass!

  • Yooo! I think its awesome, dude. I havent picked up my guitar in like 6 years, but saw this leason, saw my dusty guitar, so I figured I try it out. Awesome way of playing. Better than all the others. You get the Metal horns for this one \m/

  • awesome lesson man

  • hey yo! i learned this is three hours xD and i started playing yesterday! great way to do it , a lot easier than the way eevryone else does it! thankk youu!

  • its drop C tard face

  • cool man...i see many videos of this...but this is very simply...not much tuning is needed :D...keep it coming

  • soo hard

  • tnx dude!!! ive learned the song from yur vid like 1 year ago.. awesome job!!!

  • nice job

  • hi sir nice job mmm can u get the tab please! hope you can help me

  • lol who cares is it drop d or c :D great tutorial ! Keep it up

  • ahh now here that was the sloppiest playin with the wrong tuning

  • um not really sloppy, i mean hes doing a lesson not a performance.

and yeah it's a different tuning than the band but it is different annotation... so technically it is the SAME NOTES.

  • I'm sure i dont have to tell you because you must be the guitar god that your can play the same notes regardless of tuning just depends what fret you use...so next time you have a thought...just let it go

  • hahaha well said!! good video :):)

  • @MachoKage1990

    wohh...u noticed??

  • Nice man. Thanks alot. I'm a pretty noob guitar player and i can even get all this. :P Keep up the good work

  • how do you drop d??

  • @Gerodyp

hold down the 5th fret on your D string and strum it then strum your big E and tune it to where it has the same tone as the D string

  • i thoughht it was drop c not drop d.. hm.. but this was a good (;

  • yeah agreed! i like this one better to be honest....

  • drop C not drop D, "ppl play it wrong", so do u.

  • great tutorial

i like it in drop d better

  • It aint drop D its lower , its drop C - CGCFAD

  • In drop d you just drop the top string to d right?

  • @BlaineRice yeah

  • @BlaineRice

yep, you leave all the other strings the same.. the tuning is D, A, D, G, B, E

  • @jake1x3 Ok thank you very much! I was thinking that's all you did but I wasn't for sure

  • Comment removed

  • Not Tryin To Be Mean Or Anything But To Me Ift Doesnt Sound Tht Much Like The Song.... Thts just my opinion

  • i'm surprised this is the first tutorial i've seen in drop d...everyone thinks drop c is so much more accurate but the truth is drop d sounds the same and doesn't involve retuning your entire guitar

  • SO 10X

  • thnx a million! i was having trouble trying to learn this! ^__^

  • thanks dude!!! :)) its a great help for me . even if you have a lot of mistakes,.. thanks:))

  • Okay. good cover man......Look Dumb fucks! what does it matter if it is in Drop D or Drop C or Drop cSharp. Or Drop Fuck you no one cares okay....... It depends on your tone and how high or low you sing. I know people who play it in standard and people who play in it Drop C sharp... Just because you go to a tab site and it said Drop C you think your awesome. i've also met ronnie winter and Joey Westwood,. And asked them both what tuning it's in know what they said...DROP D... so Drop it damn

  • This is good, very good, Except the first 2 chords of the 'Bridge' sound wrong

  • you are amazing!

  • Guys honestly xD stop the drop d/drop c crap.. he said in the info that he likes to play it that way and if u dont like it dont listen or comment ^^

  • OK....as I've said this before to everyone who says it drop C. First you should have read the Info on the right about the video. But if you didnt then I'll say this again the way i play it in drop D is EXACTLY the same as Drop C. same notes same chords just different fret. SO next time you think about saying that obviously you have no biz playing guitar if you cant understand the difference in tunning

  • u people fightin bout whether its drop D or drop C. the version he is playin is in drop D but there is a better version that is played in drop C

  • what up with the hair man

    but its fine

  • it actually sounds exactly like it so its drop d.

  • its drop c

  • hey whats the strum pattern??

  • seriously? 0_0

  • Its drop C saw them play it last night.

  • hey we have the same guitar

  • IT'S DROP D.... for all you people think its drop c tuning... you probably learned guitar from the back of a cereal box!

  • drop c, not drop d.

  • Ya its a TON easier if you play it in drop C. but the chords are different. but its way easier

  • whats the strumming pattern for this song?

  • Comment removed

  • its like 100x easier if you do it in drop C

  • /sigh/ hard 2 learn but ur cool i guess v-v 5☆☆☆☆☆

  • WTF ITS DROP C.

  • wow

thanks, i learnt that in like three hours, but still...

it wouldve been better if you wrote the notes in the more info bit, coz i had to keep pausing to see what came next. but thanks, you made that really easy

  • i think dropped d sounds just fine, but there were a few notes he missed in the intro

  • YES!!

ty sooo much 4 this i already kno the song ty sooo much ^^

  • i dont think there is anything wrong with this video

i learnt the song from this in just one night :)

  • That is not even correct the song is in Drop C the way TRJA play it, sounds better and is easier

  • I like your version..ppl need to just feel out there own style cuz theres several ways to play it..

  • ha, nevermind, just saw your other video on that

  • great lesson man, but wats the strum pattern? just wondering

  • GUYS ! its the same thing !

when you play the song with drop C you bar the 5th fret for the intro and then move on , and for Drop C you start with 3 fret thats all ! get it

  • Awesome cover man! I skimmed through the comments and I noticed a few people didn't quite catch a few things. The way he's playing it is in Drop D, so your tuning (from low to high) is going to be D A D G B E. Most people will play it in Drop C, but it is played 2 frets higher, but I rather this version over the others! Hope I have helped you with what you may have misunderstood!!!

  • GUYS ! its the same thing !

when you play the song with drop C you bar the 5th fret for the intro and then move on , and for Drop C you start with 3 fret thats all ! get it

  • Dude its drop c seriously

  • you can play in d it just wont be in the same tuning as the song it really doesnt matter.

  • THE WAY YOU PLAY IT SOUNDS ALL BUZZY,

    in other words... EPIC FAILURE

  • Hey thanks for this, but i'm still sucking at it. x)

  • it's drop c!

  • There's more than one way to play it...

  • Whats the strumming pattern? it bothers me..

    Lol

  • this really helped,

    thnx

  • is this in regular tuning? or in drop c? or in drop d?

  • its in drop c. this is how you play it in drop d.

  • I think its a cool cover, i'm a beginner so i totally don't know anything about this whole 'drop c' business but...yeh, great cover dude :)

    x

  • yey man thx u did a good job (= i finally made it, thx man !

  • its drop d..... but it depends on you if what tune of the guitar though. the most important thing is you play the song correctly..

  • i thought it was drop c

  • ei excellent

  • thanks... this'll help me a lot...

  • thanks dude help me a lot

  • i cant follow that fast..

  • helped me alot

  • man i wish in the near future they invent somthin that makes u know how to play a song in seconds :)... but in tht case everyone will know how to play it :S

  • why doesnt ur vid hav more views??!!! this rox more then the other ppl ive watched. :) btw umm i cant see ur chord / notes .. um the ones at the first fret , :(

  • oh yeah 132,113 is soo little =P

  • u r so flippin goood!! who invented the guitar honestly it sounds like a complicated instrment to play i admire pple likeu who play well i love this keep up the good work! ;D

  • that's good for people that don't care about the sound ._.

  • AH! i am trying so hard to learn this, and yours its the best tutorial so far, and you go so fast your losing me lol

  • nice 1 man i gt a budget guitar...lol

  • dOOd it's a cool cover but actually it's not the right way....just watch the video its dropped c

  • There's a way to play it without dropping at all. Doesn't sound excactly the same but covers aren't supposed to. F C Dmin A# B#. use barr cords and it'll sound awsome.

  • I'm having trouble with strumming and following the rhythm. Any advice? Every time I strum, it sounds like I'm playing a different song even though I try to make it sound like the intro.

  • you strum the first three strings a couple of times...i think its down, down , up , down ,up, down..fast enough to get it to sound like the intro...then you strum four strings at the hammer-on...i think thats the way you do it..if not..then am sorry...

  • No it isn't you asses, it's d because if you play face down in c it sounds retarded. Maybe you guys should take lessons. I didn't and I still know d from c. It's good dude keep on rockin'.

    - Dan

  • Yeah it probably sounds wierd cause you didn't go up 2 frets in Drop C. A 2 on the C string in Drop C is a 4 on the D string in Drop D. -_-

  • Just 3...

  • Dude, its drop c...

  • im so confused & this is my first time playing x]

  • this ones so much easier, its awesome

  • thnks man

  • u r the best i was bleeding my eyes out in finding this!!!!!11

sum people do it drop c but urs is much easier, thanks man!!

  • u rock amn!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the proper way is drop D, but this works perecectly fine

  • Thanks :]

  • Thank you! :)

  • thanks so much your awesome! now i can play this song! =D

  • UR AWESOME! :D

  • is it drop C or Drop D

  • drop D..

  • Thanx A Lot Man!!!

Now i can play for My Girlfriend!!

    KUDOS!!

  • if ur reading this and bored R

  • thx a lot sensei

  • Thanks! great vid.

  • You miss a couple of notes from the intro when you play it in Drop D and the chords while playing the notes you isolate in the intro. It really is easier to play the song in Drop C. But if you must for the sake of the noobies, that's fine

  • I like this version because now I don't have to switch between drop c and standard so much when playing certain songs, because I only have a handful of songs I play on drop c regularly.

  • nice it helps me a lot...tnx for doing this video...easy to learn

  • Sweet, thanks,

    helped alot. =)

  • heyy good tutorial but i was wondering what the strumming is ? thank u :]]]]]]]]] lol

  • its up and down strumming, and sometimes its just down strumming

    listen to the song +D

  • This is for ANYONE who has never watched the video and if you did and agree to this drop D stuff then you did look lol. If you watch the video the person playing the song does NOT have his had near the head of the guitar if fact it is right on the fifth fret where in that case song is in Drop C thanks

  • dude! i <3 you. sounds better than drop c version and drop c is making simple things hard. ur awesome... PROPS!

  • i dont get it at all..

  • welcome to my sad little world.

  • thanks dude! lots a help, and personally i dont like to play in drop c its to much trouble -.-'

  • Hi... Okay, I'm kind of a beginner at guitar... been playing for about a month or so. I've been trying to teech myself (going terribly), and I may sound like an idiot here, but what exactly is a drop d or a drop c tuning? =/

Sorry, i told you, I'm a beginner, and I'm trying to learn the song...

  • okay so if you're a begginer you probably still use a guitar tuner? Drop D C B are just how you tune your lowest string. i dont know how to use a tuner to drop the tuning but you make the lowest string lower. tune it a whole note lower.........i dont know if this helped, like i said i tune by ear so....

  • hey drop d is jus basically dropping the top string(E) to a (D). use an electric tuner if you cant tune by ear

  • ty for this one... i couldnt figure out which sounded better C or D ... u just showed me D is better... lol and easier :D thanks again bro
