I would of liked to of seen the dome remodled. It just isnt the same not having it as a part of Seattle's skyline.And I am sure it cost more to destroy it, clean up, and build a new stadium...No favors to the tax payers....Just sayin

Yeah... cities have a way of doing that. They do it a lot just because they feel they need more space. In this case the stadium was built cheaply and was falling apart quite literally. The ceiling started falling in. This building wasn't exactly useful anymore.

When we had the Key Arena, Mercer Arena and Kingdome, more events went to the Mercer Arena and Kingdome because they had a lot of event space.
