Great video: btw if u cover the jaws of the serrated pliers w/couple of layers of masking tape they will not scratch metal as badly & the tape can be pulled off easy (don't use electrical or duct tape it leaves a sticky residue). Very pretty bird too :-)

Is there a way you could get some of the white craft feathers and dye them for a different color?

I know there is a way you can do this but I have never tried it. I mean that purple earring you see at the store is not natural

There's the RIT fabric dye you find in the stores that could do it , maybe fabric paint in a bottle that can spray might work???If I google it there are some instructions out there but it looks and sounds messy.

Try a local fabric store, walk in and ask if they have feathers or call around. JoAnne's Michaels, or maybe a good crafting website

Michael's would be an excellent place to look. I think you can find feathers in the section where they have like floral arrangements stuff, like rocks, etc. Def ask someone who works there and they will point you in the direction. Good Luck =]
