Wayne Messmer sings the National Anthem

Wayne sings this anthem at Wrigley Field with "true meaning" that comes straight from his heart!! This is how the anthem "should be sung", not that rock & roll type stuff that at times is performed there....very disrespectful! How many of you would agree with me that someday, the Cubs organization should honor Wayne outside of Wrigley Field with a statue, to be immortalized, just like Ernie Banks & Harry Caray? Everytime I turn on a game, I look forward to Wayne's rendition!!

i agree completely Wayne has always done the best anthem ever. met him and talked to him a couple times at chicago wolves games, and im telling you there couldnt be a nicer guy

This is how our national anthem should be sung.

I hate it when these recording stars put their own flare to it...as it was the case before Game 1 of the '08 World Series...the Back Street Boys...brutal.

By loss, you mean the game where Lily threw 3 1/2 terrible innings because I paid for that. I wish I could have gotten a refund.
