Different components come at different prices, different capabilities, different quality and names. @TheRagePassion Oddly enough, I got the box from Wal-Mart. Was cheap and is completely sealed. Not like other places that charged more for one that folded into a box. It's a temporary. I still haven't gotten around to buying a 2nd amp+woofer and making the enclosure I want. Thanks for the comment :)
@Bronx11 Oh, that's awesome lol!. I just installed my system, A very similar head unit to yours and 2 10" MTX jackhammers in a ported MTX box, the thing kicks very hard. And a 600 watt rms MTX jackhammer amp, I'm running my front speakers through the head unit and the 2 back through the amp. I haven't hard enough time to push it past the break in point, but i don't think I'll be able to handle that. i payed 1,100 but only had to replace the 2 backs with pioneer's. I'm very satisfied.
To be honest, I really don't think it will unless you bridge. But I'm not 100% sure on how that works. I had some help learning about car audio when I went shopping around and forgot a lot of what I learned.
The biggest part of the system I tried focusing on were the speakers. They are insane! I already had two parties in which I backed my car near the garage, opened the doors and hatchback and put up the sound. They do a GREAT job. They can get real loud and stay crystal clear. Well worth the money.
Connects at the back of the unit, now I got to buy an Ipod lol. I have about 20 gig of music on the pc I can use. I used Nero to make the MP3 cd. Worked beautifully. If you know of any good programs to use to burn dvds that work sweet on the unit I'd be grateful mate. Cheers! mmmm Beer :D
Are you referring the the pigtailed cord with the blue casing on it? I ask because I will be getting one of these head units as well. I already have a new AVG-VDP1 for it. as well as the 5.1 DTS processor
I got the Pioneer CD-1200 Interface cable for Ipod. Got it thrown in for free when I brought the unit. Sends all info to the unit so its all on screen. I'm seriously wanting the 5.1 DTS processor. Soon to come... I want the TV processor as well but it is dam hard to find at a good price. They cost way too much here in Australia.
Just allows you to control your ipod from the pioneer head unit and displays all info for all your songs. I don't think it can display video from the ipod to the head unit. I'm not really sure. But I doubt it.
I worked out how to tilt the screen before I brought it by downloading the mnual for it. Very handy download. I did make a mp3 cd with 12 albums cooked onto it. But I made the mistake of putting way too much info naming all the songs :( So I have checked out the play lists eg - Folders and the songs. I've probably got about 60% of it worked out so far.I help and upload to a internet radio station in L.A and was used to naming each song with band name, album title, track and then song name. DOH!!
That's great to hear dude! If you haven't found out the tilt yet, hold the far right button that opens the CD loader. Glad my video could be of help for ya. Make a MP3 CD, it's nice seeing song information, folders and such. XD
Mate thanks heaps for the info, I just had a car stereo dealer tell me today that it wasn't adjustable which turned me off buying it today. I'll be going back tomorrow morning to purchase it now. Thanks heaps bro... I read in its specs it had 6 positions for tilt adjustment but the dealer couldn't find the function for it. My double din slot is low on the dash so being able to tilt it up will make a lot of difference with viewing the screen. Cheers man.. \m/ Bronx11\m/
I'm not really interested in the VDP but I do plan on getting the Bluetooth adapter along with a USB adapter to hookup a hard drive. I'll post a new video on that when I get them. However, the bluetooth adapter i will probably see in the far future.

Thanks Recon. More on it soon hopefully. I'm about to upgrade the headlights to Anzo Projectors and change the front turn signals to clear black-housed signals. I just got the windows tinted and the back taillights nite-shaded as well. It's coming along great so far. Next step after the lights are the wheels.

Everything that's on the list was the total cost. 1,400 covered the HU, Sub, Speakers, two amps and wiring.

Yes. When you turn the HU on, it will tilt to what you set it at and when you shut off the HU it will retract to +-0 tilt so it doesn't stick out.
