I just had a Septoplasty on Thursday to correct a deviated septum. They didn't pack mine, they used these weird plastic stent/tube things and made me pack the outside of my nose to catch the stuff. I am so scared that having those things removed is gonna hurt, but I'm seriously considering yelling "FREEDOM!" when they're out now xD

To explain why he tilted his head back in the simplest way possible you can understand: Blood flow out the body through a wound / any opening really = BAD (b/c of CLOSED C.System). But then again people are freaks and cut their own wrists to let out blood. Whatever "floats your boat" works I guess. Just advice fellas.

Unless you're drinking the blood of someone else who has a disease/illness contractible via consumption of their blood, then "supposedly, you're not supposed to" in order to not get the sickness. Because last time I checked, this connective tissue is as clean as any other tissue in the human body.

I had a septoplasty too. But they put degradable packing in my nose. it just fell out on it's own. And as for people wondering how it feels and saying that it sucks not being able to breath out of your nose. When I got this surgery it didn't matter if I couldn't breath out of my nose. People get septoplastys so that they can breath out of their nose. The first couple of weeks after the surgery was no different then the years before the surgery when I couldn't breath out of my nose.

I had a deviated septum and had it straightened in hospital.

the nurse pulled one packing out out and it hurt so much i was happy to leave the other one up there forever. then when she said she was going to do the other one i totally lost it.

If i had have been cool like this guy i probably could have gone home but was kept in overnight instead, which sucked so much.

i remember this so well. i had sinus surgery about 2 weeks ago. i think the packing was the worst. i don't know how i survived having no air supply in my nose. I had to seriously distract myself from my feelings of claustrophobia. to eat or drink was scary! you have to alternate between breathing and eating. i paced the house all night the night of surgery because i couldn't breathe. i finally gave out from exhaustion and puffed some little breaths out my mouth to get through it!
