I actually thought the range of motion for the first guy was awesome. No kipping and chin got well over the bar each rep... not eyebrow or nose to bar. It's harder for these bigger guys to get up higher ;)
How much rest was taken in between sets? Or did you guys just change off with each other as you went?

Not sure. This was our third set, so our grip was pretty tired.
