The Williamites certainly had a larger force at the Boyne but it was no where near 30/1.Some accounts state that William was very nearly killed by an Enniskillener who mistook him for a Jacobite during the battle.In other words he led from the front.But what is often not mentioned is that William advocated freedom of religous worship at the end of the war. However, in the UK and Australia the only Protestant groups with any young membership seem to be American-based in terms of funding and general cultural influence. These churches have a high turnover in members and have a reputation for pissing of the established church here (both Protestant and Catholic). The old Orange Lodges are like many churches, abandoned or sold off.
