@Sarahboo191 Mine too!! haha I hate speaking French with a really thick American accent like that because it sounds so terrible--so I try really hard to do a good French accent.
I love the French Cancan in the back ! Good luck to learn the French 'cause it's not easy, I think !
@Myles0Harcourt hahaha yeah, even i have to agree that happens waaay too often. I'm trilingual, i speak English, Spanish, and French and most people i know say why would you want to take French class, nobody speaks it here. I hate that question, how can people be so narrow minded, it makes comunication a ton easier when you can speak with a person directly, i want to travel and see places, i don't want to look like a typical American. I love how Europeans learn 3 or more languages.
lol.. i live in Tennessee & as a junior in highschool, we are required to take two years of a foreign language. So in French class, as you can imagine, ive heard some prity horrible French accents x.x this video was great & also true. There are many things that are silent when spoken in the French language and from what i can tell, this seems to be the stumper for most. But i mean, its mostly the effort you put in to it, So yall keep on practicing & youll be fine cl:
I love the way you talk, that's so sexy <3 Je ne suis pas française, et mon français est horrible :bb Mais j'ai te compris :) greetings from germany :'*
@Myles0Harcourt Not really, I know a lot of people in America who are bilingual. One of my teachers knows five languages. I myself know Spanish as well as English (mostly self-taught Spanish). I am moving on to Italian soon. I will probably take that in college...
@NicoDeEspana The stereotype in Europe is of the Americans (and to a lesser extent the British) wandering around speaking English in France and germany and expecting the locals to do so. I know this is not generally true but I should mention a case I saw personally where an American walked into a shop in Germany and expected the people there to automatically. I'm not saying that is typical of Americans at all most of whom I find warm and polite, but it is very much the cliché.
Very funny.. I'm from Denmark, a non french speaking country, but I speak French. I understood every word you said, but it was a little hard sometimes - especially because of the music which overshadowed your speaking. Other than that, very funny.
Just remember, you often don't pronounce the final consonant in a word (eg. you said mais, but it's actually pronounced mai), unless the next word starts with a vowel. Then you pronounce it. Thats called liaison. Je ai -> J'ai...
You have a good french but I think you must to do something of your life... not videos like this... And the french is not just the french of france We speak french in quebec too and this is in america.
Omg. Ok. Lemme see here. Bonjour. Je m'apelle Caleb. Je suis de Houston, Texas. And I'm done from there. Ok. Firstly, never pronounce the s at the end of a word. NEVER EVER. Unless the word after is a vowel. But you're better off never doing it lol. Take it from a French Canadian....who lives in america.
OMG ! Is that French ? I don't think so... :P I'm French and if I didn't understand the American accent and language, I couldn't understand. Don't worry, this is a hard language to learn even when it's "your language". (;
Ohhhh dear. That's like French 1 kids who pronounce every letter.
it's was funny and even if sometimes it's hard to understand you, you speak well. And by the way, "Nice" is a city in the south of France near to italy. But good luck to learn french i guess it's not easier as english.
it's was funny and even if sometimes it's hard to understand you, you speak well. And by the way, "Nice" is a city in the south of France near to italy. But good luck to learn french i guess it's not easier as english.
@slivers105 Thanks! Lol I know where Nice is and how to say it but a lot of Americans do not lol that is why I said it like that! :) Nice is one of the sister cities of my home city of Houston! :D I really want to go to Nice one day!!!! Thanks for the comment :D
he he its my hometown. My parents live in villefranche sur mer but I went to school in Nice.I love nice. But since you are American I think the city you will totally love would be Montpellier-sete or Beziers. It is young and vibrant ,I went to the uni there and there is a sea near Palavas.Nice and its neighbouring cities are much more suited for people over the age of 40.those who are raising children.if you are an artist or a writer nice is also fine.
And please!!! people insulting Americans for being stupid and saying that we can't learn other languages, let me tell you something. That is not true at all! Most Americans can speak a second language, it is usually spanish. I am fluent in Spanish, I know enough German to survive and I have picked up Arabic in the process. So please don't hate. America is not surrounded by as many countries that speak another language as European countries are. Please stop hating and this was a joke by the way.

Also I used Google translate it helps me. I have been learning French for less than 2 years now so compared to the rest of the kids in my high school class I do well.
@awreslr2 I agree that Americans do not learn other languages but at least I am trying! And that was the point of the video! For those who do not speak French. It shows how dumb they can sound because of they believe there is not need for them to learn another language! I think that is sad and one of the reasons why the US is becoming less and less powerful, our own people are not open to the world around them! They see nothing but the US which to them is the best! Well there is more out there!
This is so bad I want it to be fake.
