The world just seems a better place that Ritchie re-did this song with Joe Lynn Turner and the two are together again. Hopefully Joe Lynn Turner will sing on another Blackmore's Night project. Both versions of this song are great. Although I think the musical arrangement in Blackmore's Night is better. Ritchie lays an inviting groundwork for the guitar solo. He should have played the solo a bit longer, that would be awesome.

Scuse me...but EVERY remake that BN does of Ritchie's earlier stuff is better than the origianl! Child in Time is the Exception. But, BN wisely attatches it with another tune, which makes it new. Just my opinion. Ritchie's guitar work is way better on this version than on the original Rainbow tune. I like the duet with Candice and Joe Lynn. Thanks for posting...I welcome courteous discussion.

I love this song, one of my Rainbow's favorites, I love her voice, very sweet, but doesn't have the power of JLT for this tune, I mean it's "nice" but not "NICE" as it should be.

also, you can't even notice JLT's voice on this version.

anyway JLT version and Candice's are good everyone on their style, behind master Ritchie of course
