  • FFIV was original going to be NES, I think, I saw it in a review on here. But I don't know if IV was going to the nes or a total different game before IV making it V was ever in development.

  • Final Fantasy IV's sounds like it came out of the original Metroid at the very beginning. Not much to say about Dancing Mad though.

  • Cecil, Rosa?, Rydia?, and Kain vs. Zeromus

Locke, Edgar, Sabin, and Shadow vs. Kefka

    Pretty epic.

  • Must... find... notation... for... Kefka's... laugh.

    Seriously though, great find.

  • What's with the metal zeromus??

  • Where is Edge!? Stupid NES only carrying four characters.

  • I've studied some Japanese, no where near being fluent mind you, but enough to understand the characters in katakana and hiragana. Seeing the characters in IV, I instantly knew they were (in order): Seshiru (Cecil), Roosa (Rosa), Ride(i)a/Ridia (Rydia) and Kain (...well Kain).

Seeing the ones from VI, I gathered they were (in order): Ro(tsu)ku/Rokku (Locke), Edogaa (Edgar), Ma(tsu)shi(yo)/Massho (which is SOMEHOW Sabin?) and Shi(ya)dou/Shadou (Shadow). Sorry if this is a bit informative. XP

  • @EizentheAnimeniac in the japanese game sabin was named Macias "Mash" Rene Figaro

  • Dancing Mad sounds better in 8-bit.

  • 3:58

    The end comes...

    Beyond chaos...

  • The 8-bit Kefka laugh was priceless.

  • seriously!? is that zeromus' penis? in ff4DS you can't see it...

  • where's edge in the first pic

  • maybe the ff4 and ff6 final battle 8 bit version i heard!

  • Not bad... With Zeromus, the rising arpeggios in the beginning are off... they're on a G minor and they're supposed to be on a G diminished. The end is WAAAAAAAY out. Otherwise very faithful to the original. Overall, well done, but see what you can do about the end of that song at least.

Kefka / Dancing Mad is like it was MADE for 8 bit!! Exceptional!!

Kefka's laugh is just pure WIN.

  • @cabbitsd

    I didn't make it though.

  • THE LAUGH!!!!!!!!!!! EPIC!!!!!!

  • I dont understand what Zeromus is meant to look like... Or exactly what is it... o.o

I know kefka is god, but Zeromus... A weird mix of alot of things...

  • @hermitsword Zeromus is, to me, a torso with several deformed arms. The head is the small protrusion on the front, you can barely see what seems to be a mouth right underneath it. It's kind of draconic without the wings, I think.

  • From top to bottom, the FF6 team appears to be Locke, Celes, (Or possibly Strago) Edgar, and Shadow.

  • Im gonna guess for FF6 portion the team is Locke Setzer Sabin And shadow

  • truely...............epic

  • Haha, this is so cool!

  • Where'd you get a pic of Zeromus in FF3?

  • Zeromus looks... evlish mechainsh...

  • Holy crap, that laugh!

  • There really is no class in Final Fantasy 3 that Edgar fits, but Scholar works enough.

Final Fantasy 3's sprite for the Black Belt resembles Edgar more than Sabin, so that's why people could get it mixed up here.

  • knight was the original paladin

  • Wow, FFIV sounds good in 8-bit. ^^

  • this is final fantasy III with bosses and tunes from IV and VI. The battle background and the characters are ll FFIII

  • Great! Loved those tunes as 8-bit!

The FF6 party seems to me as Locke, Setzer, Edgar and Shadow.

Setzer very well dressed and white-haired, and Edgar wearing armor and cloak.

  • I saw it as Locke, Edgar, Sabin and Shadow.

  • I believe the party shown for the Kefka battle is Locke, Edgar, Sabin, and Shadow.

  • Where's Edge?

And Rydia looks like a guy lol

  • I thought they both sounded pretty good. These games would've been awesome on the NES.

  • FF4 was originally designed as an NES game

  • Huh. Thats why the graphics weren't as good as most SNES games.......

Still, both really good games. It wouldn't matter what system they are on. Final Fantasy VI is still my favorite though......

  • really? where did you find that out?

  • "Unseen 64". I may have misunderstood, the mock-up and the designs that were originally supposed to be for Final Fantasy IV Famicom may not be the same, or may have been changed for Super Famicom. Square was originally planning FFIV and FFV for Famicom, but decided to move it to the Super Famicom, probably because the Famicom was on it's way out. Anyway, Google "Unseen 64 Final Fantasy IV" and you'll find the article.

  • Zeromus theme doesnt sound that good 8 bit if i have to be honest, too many high ptch tones make me turn my volume down in order to save my ears. :(

    but furthermore, nice job

  • 16 bit to 8 bit

  • That is fucking SWEET lol ^_^

  • For what I'm seeing FF4 on the SNES had 4 character parties... if that pic is accurate party wise. I loved Kefkas laugh at the end of Dancing Mad.

  • no, there are 5 person parties. the only(if my sources are correct)game. this song is fuking epic, tho

  • @TearGrande

actually, FF4 had 5 characters in the party.... but they had to be split between 2 rows. you could either have 3 in the front or 3 in the back.

  • @TARDISES

FF4 had 5. This skips Edge, who sucks anyway. It's a hacked-up screen from FF3j.

  • @iiiiiifggffggffgfgfg

    Edge kicks ass, fagott.

  • @Breaker242

rly it depends how u like to fight, tactic etc.

  • @Breaker242 And just because you use an F-bomb means you're right?

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, i LUV the FF6 portion! Btw may i guess the team? Is it: Locke, Celes, Edgar, and Shadow? Anyway, great, great job buddy!

  • Locke, Edgar, Sabin (Mash) and Shadow. I didn't make this by the way.

  • Ah, cwl. Well, its still a good video, and ur still cwl =D

  • your celes is edgar, your edgar is sabin, and you are you :)

  • Thank u =)

  • I dunno, kinda has a Gameboy-y feel to it haha.

  • This/these are pretty awesome. =D

  • Before I wondered how would Kefka's laugh sound in 8-bit glory? Well, no matter if it's 8; 16; 32; 64 or Real Life -bit, Kefka's laugh is always epic...

  • Wait, Kefka's laugh comes up somewhere? where?

  • Last few seconds.

  • Near the end at 5:06

  • @medfoe it appears at 5:07

  • I wonder which MIDI the creator used. Or did he create a midi on his own? :?

  • WOW! Amazing!

  • with which software i can do this??

  • I wish I knew myself.

  • GXSCC

  • It's not GXSCC, that's for sure. GXSCC doesn't use those instruments.

But whatever was used here produced a LEGIT 8-bit remix.

  • GXSCC can only remake midis, which means that that 8-bit music is not really the exact 8-bit remixes that they are supposed to be.

These are real though, as you can hear clearly that these are not midi remixed.

  • My main problem with GXSCC is that it doesn't have an NES feel to it. It sounds more like TurboGrafx or Master System (with FX chip).

  • That's because it's using the SCC-like instrument set. Go to Config and in the instrument dropdown list select All PulsedSquared Set. :)

  • @ hayabusakun: Yes you can. It's all a matter of which Instrument set you're using. He probably used PulsedSquared like

  • Famitracker

  • that laugh was epic.

  • yes, it gave me chills.

  • agreed

  • Whoa! When I woke up a couple of days ago, I imagened hearing that laugh, and multiple shivers went down my spine.
