FFIV was original going to be NES, I think, I saw it in a review on here. But I don't know if IV was going to the nes or a total different game before IV making it V was ever in development.
I've studied some Japanese, no where near being fluent mind you, but enough to understand the characters in katakana and hiragana. Seeing the characters in IV, I instantly knew they were (in order): Seshiru (Cecil), Roosa (Rosa), Ride(i)a/Ridia (Rydia) and Kain (...well Kain).
Seeing the ones from VI, I gathered they were (in order): Ro(tsu)ku/Rokku (Locke), Edogaa (Edgar), Ma(tsu)shi(yo)/Massho (which is SOMEHOW Sabin?) and Shi(ya)dou/Shadou (Shadow). Sorry if this is a bit informative. XP
Not bad... With Zeromus, the rising arpeggios in the beginning are off... they're on a G minor and they're supposed to be on a G diminished. The end is WAAAAAAAY out. Otherwise very faithful to the original. Overall, well done, but see what you can do about the end of that song at least.
Kefka / Dancing Mad is like it was MADE for 8 bit!! Exceptional!!
@hermitsword Zeromus is, to me, a torso with several deformed arms. The head is the small protrusion on the front, you can barely see what seems to be a mouth right underneath it. It's kind of draconic without the wings, I think.
"Unseen 64". I may have misunderstood, the mock-up and the designs that were originally supposed to be for Final Fantasy IV Famicom may not be the same, or may have been changed for Super Famicom. Square was originally planning FFIV and FFV for Famicom, but decided to move it to the Super Famicom, probably because the Famicom was on it's way out. Anyway, Google "Unseen 64 Final Fantasy IV" and you'll find the article.
Before I wondered how would Kefka's laugh sound in 8-bit glory? Well, no matter if it's 8; 16; 32; 64 or Real Life -bit, Kefka's laugh is always epic...

Final Fantasy IV's sounds like it came out of the original Metroid at the very beginning. Not much to say about Dancing Mad though.

Cecil, Rosa?, Rydia?, and Kain vs. Zeromus
Locke, Edgar, Sabin, and Shadow vs. Kefka
Pretty epic.

From top to bottom, the FF6 team appears to be Locke, Celes, (Or possibly Strago) Edgar, and Shadow.

Im gonna guess for FF6 portion the team is Locke Setzer Sabin And shadow

There really is no class in Final Fantasy 3 that Edgar fits, but Scholar works enough.
Final Fantasy 3's sprite for the Black Belt resembles Edgar more than Sabin, so that's why people could get it mixed up here.

this is final fantasy III with bosses and tunes from IV and VI. The battle background and the characters are ll FFIII
AirikrStrife 2 years ago
Great! Loved those tunes as 8-bit!
The FF6 party seems to me as Locke, Setzer, Edgar and Shadow.
Setzer very well dressed and white-haired, and Edgar wearing armor and cloak.

FF4 was originally designed as an NES game
tssf 2 years ago 2
Huh. Thats why the graphics weren't as good as most SNES games.......
Still, both really good games. It wouldn't matter what system they are on. Final Fantasy VI is still my favorite though......

really? where did you find that out?

Zeromus theme doesnt sound that good 8 bit if i have to be honest, too many high ptch tones make me turn my volume down in order to save my ears. :(

For what I'm seeing FF4 on the SNES had 4 character parties... if that pic is accurate party wise. I loved Kefkas laugh at the end of Dancing Mad.
TearGrande 2 years ago 2
no, there are 5 person parties. the only(if my sources are correct)game. this song is fuking epic, tho
truehiphop809 2 years ago 3
@TearGrande
actually, FF4 had 5 characters in the party.... but they had to be split between 2 rows. you could either have 3 in the front or 3 in the back.
TARDISES 2 years ago
@TARDISES
FF4 had 5. This skips Edge, who sucks anyway. It's a hacked-up screen from FF3j.

GXSCC
WikipedianMarlith 3 years ago
It's not GXSCC, that's for sure. GXSCC doesn't use those instruments.
But whatever was used here produced a LEGIT 8-bit remix.
hayabusakun 2 years ago 2
GXSCC can only remake midis, which means that that 8-bit music is not really the exact 8-bit remixes that they are supposed to be.
These are real though, as you can hear clearly that these are not midi remixed.
XavioFilms 2 years ago 2
My main problem with GXSCC is that it doesn't have an NES feel to it. It sounds more like TurboGrafx or Master System (with FX chip).
hayabusakun 2 years ago
That's because it's using the SCC-like instrument set. Go to Config and in the instrument dropdown list select All PulsedSquared Set. :)
MastaGambit 2 years ago
@ hayabusakun: Yes you can. It's all a matter of which Instrument set you're using. He probably used PulsedSquared like
