yes, 500 pounds was the first initial pull. The dog must be weight first and than he has to pull the proper weight in relation with his weight. You know the rules, don't you? The second pull will be heavier and the third and final pull heavier than the second, 3 times to earn 1 leg. (on time and with the correct distance).
Hahaha, actually, I don't know the rules. However, I know it's common sense to measure the dog's weight before strapping him/her up with a particular weight. I don't follow such events, but thanks for enlightening me with those facts.

500 pounds? Come on guys, you are insulting the breed. Try it with a 1000 pounds now and keep going up. See how easily he pulled 500?
