  • awesome, i cant believe this is live

  • wow...this is really great mixed and produced! it almost sounds likde a studio version. but much faster and aggressive than the studio version. very good! :)

  • it doesn't even sound live it sound studio

  • BEST VERSION

  • anyone got the music vid for this song

  • EMO for me is Blink 182 and that bitch Avril Lavigne, and they all suck!

This is rock n roll man! And if you say one more time that Joker is a EMO I will send a virus to your e-mail! uaUAHUAHAauhaHAHA

  • Thank you for posting (if live) the original, BETTER version.

  • O____O Awesome.

  • It is so emo!!! =)

  • nope. its singing about nuclear holocaust. not emo at all. nice try though

  • No it is not! There are no nuclear holocaust in this song, only emo rock!

  • go to wikipedia and read about it. this was made like 3 years before emo even existed

  • no hes a psychopath/nihilist. huge difference. emo just means emotion. so if youre going to say a song is emo because it has emotion, then 99% of the music youve heard is emo. and for the record. emo is shit like emarosa, the early november, i can make a mess, the used, from first to last. this is not.

  • oh wow. you are just brain dead. i really do believe your ability to think has been completely diminished. why did i even take the time to reply to you

  • @snakecharmer133 Haha, your ignorance makes me laugh. Just like the average prick who thinks rock is emo.

  • @snakecharmer133 Someone can have a bad life and not be emo, and as Nick said, he's a Psychopath, he's insane, he's definitely not emo. No, the lyrics really aren't emo either.

  • Comment removed

  • @danielmarc08 im sorry i reread my comments and i dont know what point youre trying to make. im not trying to be a dick i just want you to clarify so were on the same page

  • @nickfromdtown1992 i would say he's sociopath

  • Actually, it's not about either one. It was written about Batman, and made for the movie Batman & Robin. The demo version is my favorite, next to this one, then the studio version, and then The Beginning is the End is the Beginning, which is a lot slower.

  • he wrote beginning is the end is the beginning a long time ago about dr manhattan and was asked to do the batman movie and was like i have something perfect for this! so this version was switched up to be more about batman

  • lolno

You have it backwards. He wrote this about Batman for the movie. He made a slower and darker version that was used in a trailer for Watchmen.

  • ha maybe i do have it backwards. my friend who is a huge smashing pumpkins fan is the one who told me this so i might have it wrong. all i know is that the slow one is about dr manhattan

  • Might be. I didn't notice the lyrics change, but hey. I didn't notice the lyrics in the first place. Nobody listens to the lyrics. Unless it's the kind of song that you need to listen to lyrics for. This one engraves the lyrics into your head, the slow one makes the lyrics near unnoticeable. Who Can It Be Now? by Men at Work is catchy, and it makes you remember the lyrics. Who can it be knocking at my door? WAIT! I should stop before I get carried away like that time I sang Cuban Pete a lot...

  • oh really? the lyrics in the slow one give me chills

  • @8MKWeb8 orrr you're wrong. Both songs (The end is the beginning... and the beginning is the end...) came out around the same time. There are also two other songs based off this song that are instrumentals called the ethers tragic and the guns of love disastrous.

  • Both of them were written for the terrible Batman movie. The fast one won a Grammy.

  • Horrible, no. Corny, definitely. The bad puns are hilarious and pitiful.

  • @8MKWeb8 how is this horrible or corny? and where are the puns?

  • @mercurymadhatter Is was talking about the Batman movie this was in.

  • casi no me gustan las verciones en vivo pero esta si k me cutivo

  • Anyone have a link to this version of the song that is not live?

  • They're so awesome live, me and some friends saw them in Toronto <3

  • amazing

    FINALLY

this song live on youtube AT LAST

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

  • FUCKIN AWESOME!

  • I've been looking for a live version of this song for years, thanks!

  • @Joker7492 because your mom gets horny with black

  • I always wanted to hear this song live. Thanks for posting it. Goes great with the pic of the joker.

  • where did you find this jewel ?

  • eeeeeeeeeeeeeee Smashing rules!!!!!!!!

  • This is AWESOME!!!

But I guess when you've recorded a song for a crappy movie, you have to dissociate yourself from it. Although that don't apply to RATM's No Shelter...

I wonder what it would sound like if they replaced the lyrics with the ones from the Watchmen version?
