Simply put, that if USD 10 billion was collected from European nations for loss & damages to the Holocaust survivors, and there should be around 100,000 survivors (according to Dr. Finkelstein words), then on average each survivor should get about USD 100,000/=.

If Dr. Finkelstein's mother had received only USD 3,000/= for her plight, then possibly those 'Holocaust Hucksters', had siphoned away (an average) USD 97,000/= x 100,000 persons - for their own racket..!

That's a lot of money..!

"If everybody was a survivor who did hitler kill?" That means, if you know your basic English, that almost all the jews were killed and that every other person saying they are holocaust survivors were true, than who did hitler kill? The UN has just confirmed that Hamas police in Gaza have seized thousands of blankets and food parcels meant for needy residents. This kind of facts may not be a relevant to Finkelstein but to me they are.

Because Finkelstein tend to believe that peace in the Middle East all depends on Israel's willingless to comply with the international consensus, whereas, many people -not less infor;ed than him- believe that this compliance will only bring more violence on the part of Hamas and Iran.

Film is by necessity a profit-driven industry. That doesn't mean that important subject matter cannot be dealt with. Looking at the Holocaust through artistic filters does not automatically make the subject matter "propogandistic" or Zionist. There have also been a lot of films made over the past two years dealing with the Latino immigrant experience. I don't think it does us any good to automatically assume there is a conspiratorial purpose behind it just because there is also a profit motive.

I think Hollywood would definitely put out pro-Palestinian films at a crazy rate if it was demonstrated that they could make a lot of money by doing so. It ain't propaganda if it's not making money for the backers. So they'll quit producing Holocaust films when people stop lining up to see them. Hollywood is predictable that way.

xenu its not that paranoid. If you consider that Jews make up a tiny proportion of the US population, it is striking how many film directors/actors are Jewish. And Jewish people in the US,while overwhelmigly liberal, are often brought up with the idea they should support Israel.Which naturally means Jewish directors would be less likely to write pro-Palestinian films! Hollywood would be deluged with criticism by the many Jewish actors, and the wider media, if it were to do such a thing!
