@musicaorganum Not really memory. The hands remember so to speak - not the mind - or at least that is how it probably seems to this scholar I think. Many pieces I learned over 10 years ago I can play without a score to this day. I forget some as don't practice enough but rarely do I actually think of the notes nor need the sheet music when practicing. The hands just do it and I suspect this player is similar in that regard.
I'd love to be able to interpret like he does, a hidden gem on youtube
@theagrob Yes, what a joy to hear every crisp note reminding us of the crispness of the season upon us. Let's celebrate the crispness of the winter season!!
First of all, great job. I love this Sonata, and it's interesting to hear a different take on it. I have to say that I do like the third movement faster, I think it gives it more of a finale type feel. Not to say that your wrong about the tempo or anything, and you play it better than I could ever play it. Thanks for posting.
beautiful, precise and thoughtful playing. reminiscent of horszowski.

People play the second movement slowly? Most recordings I've heard of this one play it too fast, rather than too slow.
I love Beethoven sonatas, though I haven't listened to them for a while. Keep up the awesome work with these!

My teacher told me this is actually pretty naughty sonata ... dedicated to a court lady who was married... lol
What would you say about your relatively slow tempo in the third movement?
