  • Woooo go Anon! fuck that Cult.

  • MUDKIP EMBLEM FTW!

  • lol, yes, mudkips/ LOL

  • Wow Toronto eh...... GET OUT OF MY TOWN

  • $cientology is a terrible cult

  • Attacking scientology, this is flat out religious persecution. Leave people to believe in whatever they want to believe.

If you seriously want to go after a religion that has harmed people: Try Islam,

  • Yes, except Scientology is not a religion.

Also, criticizing any religion does not constitute religious persecution, regardless of what any church has to say about it. Everybody has a right to state their opinion, and if their opinion is funded by objective data, such as those of Anonymous, repressing it by claiming "disrespect" is called censorship.

  • "Yes, except Scientology is not a religion."

So you're the authority on what people can and cannot believe in? Do you also know which God is the 'real God' and which God is the 'fake God'?

What "Anonymous" is doing is bullshit. If they want to protest, I'm all for it. I just think their tactics (which is borderline illegal) to be an affront on personal choice (freedom to believe in whatever people want to believe).

So what now? Are you going to spite me with a 'thumbs down'?

  • I'm not the authority of what constitutes a religion or not, but there is a definition of "cult". Religions don't dangle wisedom and personal realization in front of your nose for tons of cash, for one.

What Scientology protesters contest is not the beliefs of Scientology but the actions it takes to silence their critics and keep their members in the shadow: blatant lying, harassment, frivolous litigation, family disconnection, these are just a few examples.

  • "Religions don't dangle wisedom and personal realization in front of your nose for tons of cash, for one."

So all those televangelists pushing Christianity (and pocketing millions in the process)....that's not a cult?

"What Scientology protesters contest is not the beliefs of Scientology but the actions it takes to silence their critics"

So "two wrongs do make a right" in your world.

    Got it.

  • I don't see how I'm advocating that two wrongs make a right. There's nothing wrong with protesting. True, some dumb kids conducted DDOS attacks back in the day, but the majority of protesters doesn't agree with those tactings and they've cut it out.

As far as beliefs go, let's face it, it's not any nuttier to believe that the Earth was created in seven days than to believe in an alien overlord. The twist is, in Scientology you're only fed what your beliefs should be once you've had had a...

  • ... thousand courses, mortgaged your house to pay for tech and are so economically and emotionally invested in the cult that you won't question anything when the bullcrap is presented to you. Whereas you can just pick up a Bible, read it cover to cover and decide whether it's the thing for you.

As for the televangelists, yes, they cult-ish. Fortunately, Christianity doesn't require you to donate to them to advance in your path to salvation, as I gather.

  • "thousand courses, mortgaged your house to pay for tech and are so economically and emotionally invested in the cult that you won't question anything when the bullcrap is presented to you. "

Uhm, it's personal choice dude. I think this is what "Anonymous" fails to understand. We still live in a free society.

Unlike government, which takes your money at gunpoint. (don't believe me? Try living your life refusing to file taxes and resist the laws enforcing it).

  • No, at this point, it's not - it's brainwashing. Check out the methods Scientology uses to get you to the point you fork out money for the Xenu text - anything, even pointing out you're in the verge of suicide or divorce. Guillible people with prior problems fall for this scam too easily if they're not informed, which is what Anonymous does. Check out depositions of defectors who were in the church for 20, 30 years. Check out what happened to them when they expressed their wish to leave.

  • "No, at this point, it's not - it's brainwashing. Check out the methods Scientology uses to blah, blah, blah...drone...drone...drone..."

Uhm, I know all this already? So what's your point?

You don't see Scientology having their followers strap bombs to themselves and blow themselves up in markets...or retaliate by lobbing bombs at opposing nations?

You call people 'gullible', I call it PERSONAL CHOICE. Get that? IT'S A CHOICE.

  • My point is, personal choice needs to be informed. Preying on vulnerable people for money is hardly respectful of this principle. If people want to go into Scientology even after researching, more power to them and no Anonymous is going to prevent that from happening. The fact of the matter is, they don't tell you about Xenu or disconnection when they miraculously cure a "dyslexia" they made up for you and then charge you for everything you own - that's why you spread the word.

  • "My point is, personal choice needs to be informed. Preying on vulnerable people for money is hardly respectful of this principle. "

Ah, the 'people are stupid' argument.

"The fact of the matter is, they don't tell you about Xenu "

And how is this different than Noah's Ark or Jesus raising the dead?

  • People are not stupid. People are lied to. Vulnerable people, like the drug addicts and depression patients Scientology loves to help, are especially exposed to this lying.

And you can easily learn about Noah's Ark or Jesus raising the dead by picking up a Bible: this information is not withheld from you until you pay thousands to become a christian.

  • "People are not stupid. People are lied to. Vulnerable people, like the drug addicts and depression patients Scientology loves to help, are especially exposed to this lying."

    Hm, sounds like Alcoholics Anonymous.

Again, I would rather have Scientology be the sole ruler of my life (Where I have the choice to come/go as I please). Rather than GOVERNMENT where I can have a cop (with a gun) show up at my door if I refuse to pay taxes.

  • If AA makes you sign a contract signing off your life for the next trillion years and sucks you dry in everything you own, then yes, it's exactly like AA.

  • It's a free society when they want your money (even if they have to lie to you about what you're getting for it), not so much if you want to leave.

  • "It's a free society when they want your money (even if they have to lie to you about what you're getting for it), not so much if you want to leave."

Again: People are free to join/leave religions. Getting government out of our lives...next to impossible.

  • Free to leave religions, perhaps: not cults. Try leaving Scientology, tell me whether it's easy.

  • "Free to leave religions, perhaps: not cults. Try leaving Scientology, tell me whether it's easy."

Who seriously gives a fuck? If you seriously have issues over people being harmed by religion, why not protest Islam? Or does strapping bombs to yourself "in the name of Allah" rings as 'acceptable' in your world?

Whereas someone believing in XENU is flat out criminal?

    Get your priorities straight.

  • I didn't say believers in Xenu are criminals. I agree with you that suicide bombers, whichever their religion or motivation, are criminals. Me caring about something does not mean it's the only subject I care about, which, I can assure you, it's not.

Mainly, as long as you don't condone the tactics Scientology employs to silence critics and the "fair game"/disconnection policies, I can't see how you don't agree with me.

  • "I didn't say believers in Xenu are criminals. "

But if government came in and said "we're shutting down scientology" you wouldn't do a damned thing to stop it.

I would gladly stand in front of the scientology building and face police bullets to protect a persons right to CHOOSE their faith.

Which side would you be on? Seriously.

  • Instead of shutting down, the Government should merely regulate the ORGANIZATION of Scientology. Even if they did shut it down, and if Scientology is a legitimate faith like you say, it wouldn't kill Scientology because people would keep believing in Xenu. And against that there's not much the Government can do, short of abolishing freedom of religion, something I wouldn't be in favour of, naturally.

  • "Instead of shutting down, the Government should merely regulate the ORGANIZATION of Scientology."

    "regulate"? (alright that scares me)

Listen, if Scientology broke any laws, like anyone else, cops would be called and people would be arrested (What part of this you don't understand?)

What you are saying is "There oughta be a law"

Are you so sure that's the right thing to do?

  • There IS a law: Scientology has had to compensate many people for harms done and has managed to evade heavier penal sanctions by settling many cases off-court.

What I meant by regulating it would be mainly getting rid of their "religion" status: this would mean kissing goodbye tax exemption and being obligated to be upfront about what people are really paying for from the get-go. In this case, I would have no problem whatsoever with Scientology.

  • In second thought, I'd still have a problem with Scientology, mainly because I don't agree with tax exemptions for any church. But I think it summarizes nicely why I think protesting Scientology is legit.

  • "I'd still have a problem with Scientology, mainly because I don't agree with tax exemptions for any church. "

So the idea of tax exemption for NON-PROFIT groups like churches should now be taxed?

Then I suggest we immediately begin taxing 'money scam' places like those Shriner's hospitals which gives free healthcare to injured children.

Maybe you're onto something here. I'm kinda digging this 'merely regulating' argument.

  • LOL. Charitable organizations =/= churches. Are you honestly trying to tell me that Scientology has no profits whatsoever? Yet, seeing as that has nothing to do with my Scientology point, I take it that you agree with me?

  • "Are you honestly trying to tell me that Scientology has no profits whatsoever?"

Are you honestly trying to tell me that Roman Catholics has no profits whatsoever?

  • Exactly: They do. That's why they should be taxed.

  • "Exactly: They do. That's why they should be taxed."

Well, so much for the "separation of church & state" comrade.

It's cold, let's burn some letters by Thomas Jefferson.

  • (Seeing that Scientology was founded in the US of A)

Let's also burn the U.S. first amendment (and the rest of the document while we're at it?). Freedom of speech is WAY OVERRATED!

What part of the 1st amendment you don't understand? Taxes are a form of "prohibition". If a church can't pay taxes...what then? SHUT IT DOWN OF COURSE.

Talk to a communist long enough...and the communist will come out.

I now know who you are. Do you?

  • I don't see how taxing a profitable activity - which it is - is a violation of separation of church and state. Media outlets are taxed: if they don't pay, they get shut down (actually, that's not how it works, but let's pretend, for your argument's sake). OMG violation of the right to free information?

Again, how is any of this related to my initial point on Scientology?

  • "I don't see how taxing a profitable activity - which it is - is a violation of separation of church and state. "

That's because you don't understand the U.S. Constitution. You're Canadian right?

Most socialists find the U.S. constitution to be a 'burden' to government growth.

Re: Media. I don't think anyone should be taxed period.

  • No, I'm not Canadian. I'm not American either.

Again, that is related to my initial point on Scientology, how?

  • "No, I'm not Canadian. I'm not American either.

Again, that is related to my initial point on Scientology, how?"

You're just unfamiliar with the U.S. Constitution. Taxing churches would be a violation of the 1st amendment.

Also, you seem too comfortable handing power over to the government as if Government is incapable of evil (like bombing countries for example).

You basically have your priorities messed up. Scientology is fuck all compared to big government.

  • I never made any considerations regarding the USA constitution or your fiscal system - you did. In light of my legal system, I don't believe churches, as profitable organizations, should be tax exempt.

As for my priorities, leave those up to me, as you don't know what they are, clearly.

  • "As for my priorities, leave those up to me, as you don't know what they are, clearly."

But you sure love to stick your nose into the affairs of others personal beliefs right?

"I never made any considerations regarding the USA constitution"

That's kinda obvious. You're keen on 'merely regulating' the private choices of people.

  • Oh my God, if that's what you took from my comments, even after I repeated once and again and again that I don't give a damn about people's choices as long as they're INFORMED - and as long organizations like Scientology, who's not a church or a religion, are forced not to stand in the way of this fundamental right, I give up. You seem too keen on making personal accusations from the beginning so I take it you're just looking for a fight. I'm done.

  • "I don't give a damn about people's choices as long as they're INFORMED "

So if a Scientologist tells you that they are 'informed' till blue in the face...you'll still keep saying "No you're not!"

"You seem too keen on making personal accusations from the beginning so I take it you're just looking for a fight. I'm done."

    I agree Comrade.

  • Without taxes... where would a government get money to build and maintain roads, pay law enforcement, build parks, fix the sewer systems, etc?

  • ..."mudkips" lol

  • "They trying to make a name for themselves" LULZ... they are called Anonymous and wear masks...

  • Excuse me, "Reverend"?

  • this would have been better IF THE FUCKING FAGGOT DIDN'T GIGGLE THE WHOLE TIME

  • I love how the news is forced to report this, but seeing how (probably) none of them have frequented 4chan they must be confused as all hell.

  • @youvebeenthunderstru .....Don't give them hints.

  • I love how when they showed the anonymous definition or whattever that was there was a mudkip at the top.

    Anyways, anyone here liek mudkipz?

  • Why would I want to beleive in something made up LMFAO.....Scientology is a cult and we all know it.

  • Can you answer me seriously TOS or am I wasting my time and it is true that Scientology has done none of what's accused

  • We all know that the accusations are true, Scientology has killed people. Stop trying to defend your cult. Join the Free Zoners, there is no reason to stop believing. However, the Church is an evil organization. Look into the facts, these come from actual courts of law, they aren't fake. Please leave before you get hurt! Anonymous is against the church not you. We want to see you saved from its deception.

  • Ok ok I'll quit messing with you guys but PLEASE PLEASE send me a newspaper article, magazine cover, ANYTHING showing a single case where scientology has murdered/tortured/whatever someone because I don't believe they have and you should have proof to back up your claims.

  • Youtube is your friend.

  • Search "The Unfunny Truth behind Scientology". It has citations.

  • Scientology drains vulnerable people of their money, it capitalizes on their weaknesses and uses it against them if they change their mind. It is a pseudo religion created by a science fiction writer that is only available to the rich (the stupid celebs) and it should be treated with ridicule, hatred and contempt. Tom Cruise for example, has been a Scientologist for years and he still hasn't got to the "Clear" level such as other members such as Charles Manson. Man I'd well be there by now.

  • Wait a sec, Charles Manson? I don't think he was a part of the Church of Scientology. I'm against COS, but please don't bring in fake info, it'll make Anonymous look bad. If I'm wrong then i apologize for accusing you of lying, but that info doesn't sound right.

  • Actually, Manson was a Scientologist when it first started. But he thought that it was too batshit crazy, so he left. Thats pretty bad when the craziest guy in the nation thinks your beliefs are a little nuts. Manson is evil and crazy, but still extremely crafty and even intelligent , just like Hubbard. He probably learned some of the techniques he used to brainwash his cult members from the same techniques Hubbard used.

  • LOL @ .32

  • its called google, if you want to know then do some research

  • you don't believe in peace? Are you one of those ugly gothic kids?

All I am saying is protest the real issue!

  • You forgot the cake. We bring delicious delicious cake to the protests. Come by on a protest day sometime and have some cake, and maybe you'll learn something as well!

PS. Our cake is not a lie.

  • Wait...

Do you actually seriously bring cake?

You aren't joking, and it's not a prop?

When the heck is the next protest?

I'm gonna bring a mask with a removable mouth piece.

  • This is off topic but I thought it was very interesting, I just watched a comedy video about Will Smith and scientology and I'm sure I've heard that Big Willy has rubbished claims that he is a scilon so I thought I'd go look for a video of him saying so.... anywho when I typed in the words "Will Smith scientology" into the search field and hit search nothing happened... the page just will not load, I tried other videos and they loaded straight away.... very odd.

Is YT blocking that search ?

  • Why?

  • y r they protesting?

  • The Cult of Scientology is not a church, it's criminal and dangerous organization, masquerading as a religion. They attacks people who criticize them. The leaders are only interested in money, and abuse their members, who are so brainwashed that they don't even see what's going on. I can go on forever about the crap they've pulled. And nobody is doing anything about it. It's up to us. Educate yourself about it and join us on the April 12 for a third worldwide protest!

  • Spelling errors all over the place in that post. But it's still true :)

  • First of all christianity has ruined a hell of a lot more lives than scientology will ever do. Secondly, no one is against their right to believe what they want to. If they want to believe in a 75 million year old intergalactic warlord, then go ahead. That's why Anonymous isn't protesting against the "Free Zone" people. But against the criminal organization The Church of Scientology.

  • Wait, are you saying that christians have no body count. That statment alone negates your argument.

  • What he probably means to say is it's not Christianity's fault. It's the religion's fault. Basically the fault of the Church, not the belief. Any belief can lead to these types of problems. Christianity doing so is ironic, because it is peaceful to the point of commanding that one lets himself be hurt rather than using violence to defend oneself. Eventually all religions and churches will hopefully be targeted by anonymous.

  • You don't understand Anonymous' agenda. Please educate yourself before making comments like this one.

  • Impossible! Anon is anti-fail. Anon is made of WIN.

Plus they bring cake! Moist delicious cake for the masses.

  • @TempleOfSin I hate to break this to you but, the cake is a lie.

    IRLRR ftw.

  • That Sci-tard woman thinks anonymous is trying to make a name for itself because the CoS has famous members? Anon has no name, no face. They are legion for they are many, or did she not get the memo?

  • WHAT WAS THE REPLY THAT WAS REMOVED? anybody have that?

  • This reply was removed due to a copyright claim made by the Church of Scientology.

  • lol@scientology censoring u disgusting cult

  • [This reply was removed due to copyright requests by the Church of Scientology]

  • Great work. This evil cult has destroyed tens of thousands of lives but its days were numbered when the internet came into existence. Access to information about their origins and methods has saved many from joining these buffoons. The leadership is crumbling and the Anonymous folks will not be intimidated or bullied. CoS cannot stop the truth!!!!

  • lmao mudkips!

  • Youtube blocks scientology videos views!

  • I would say that was paranoia, but I've never seen views being so delayed.

  • RICKROLL'D !

  • Anonymous is making a name for itself? Huh?

  • While I agree, that Scientology is stupid, my fellow Canucks need to be more tolerant. As long as they don't promote violence they have every right to exist. Rickroll guy was 5/5.

  • Scientology is a cult, and cults are illegal. We are against Scientology not because we are religious bigots, but because the Church of Scientology is a bait-and-switch religion - you don't know what you are getting into when you join it, and they suck you in, take all your money, disconnect you from your family, and coerce you into being a slave to them for life. If you don't think they "promote violence", then google their policy titled "R2-45". They do promote violence, and they practice it.

  • ...No...I don't think Christians are that worried about being taken over by Scientology

  • Nobody protests something they aren't worried about. They are worried about losing members. Less memebers means less money and that after all is what organized religion is all about.

  • Why would they be mad? Scientology is taking all the retards that nobody else wants.

  • christianity wants all the retards they can get.

  • True enough but at least some of them are mildly reasonable. Even so you are correct all religions are full to breaking point with brainwashed retards. The only real difference is that Scientology is full of penniless brainwashed retards who get off on Tom Cruise and fear the wrath of General Zod... I mean "Xenu".

  • This video would be better without somebody lulzing in the background.

  • I loled so hard at the Rick Roll

  • SCIENTOLOGYS CLOSED DUE TO THETANS

  • Oh Anon...

  • That scientology chick's name was Shank... watch your backs

  • the clambake folks think the rickroll guy was a sciplant. i think that's a sign of fail.

of course the rest of the protest, and the report? WIN.

  • The rickroll guy went by me as I put my mask on around the corner.

  • rickrolling inside the org? not so lulzy.

Some poor brainwashed woman is going to understand why she should leave the cult because a kid does an impersonation of a one hit wonder song she may remember from 20+ years ago?

    oh ha ha ha. fail.

  • ur a failfag.

  • MUDKIP! HE MADE THE NEWS!

  • Wooo go CBC

  • oh my GOD rickroll at :31 is EPIC WIN

  • That was an awesome news report. Unbiased, well researched, DIDN'T BLAME Anonymous for the powder scare that was most likely orchestrated by the Co$ itself..

I'm extremely impressed. Can we electronically buy that newscaster a beer?

  • Let's get him a keg!

  • i would have loved to hear the report but some FAGGOT WAS LAUGHING THE WHOLE TIME

  • Seconded.

  • Yay! A decent report!

  • "millions of members around the world"

    lol false.

  • Zug Zug motherfuckers!

  • haha rickroll! internet culture > idiot cult

  • ya, finally the media doesn't drop the ball. Go cbc

  • Haha you made the paper. Ottawa Sun, second page.

  • IRL rick roll!

  • What is the difference between a church and a cult?? Answer: About 100 years!!

  • yeahhhh boyeeeee
