Not too original looking, but attractive nonetheless. It's not like you're settling for some poorly built, unreliable, "cheap Korean car". They are quite the opposite actually. I love mine. People are passing up Accord and Camry for this car and Sonata. What does that tell you?
@palebeachbum i just bought a 2010 optimia 2.4l and i work for a Honda dealer. ill tell you what, honda mus tbe slipping in reliabilty. old hondas went forever and a day, this weeek alone we had 3 warrenty claims, 1 for timing chain jump, bent 6 out of 16 valves at 1800 miles. next a 2.4 accord with piston and rings needed replaced burning ALOT of oil under warrenty. and one with a bad transmission at 15K wtf honda.
@chevyblows2001 I'm won't say Hondas are bad cars. They're not. BUT, they are not what they're cracked up to be. They are NOT worth the inflated price tag. I'm not one of those people that's going to spend thousands more for a name (like Honda) when I can get a car that's built well, reliable, and pleasant to drive for like $4k less (Optima). I I don't have my 2006.5 Optima anymore, but I enjoyed it while I had it. No regrets, and it surely gave me no reason to switch to Honda or Toyota.
@chevyblows2001 My Optima had about 65k miles on it when I sold it. Nothing wrong with it though. Still ran like new and pretty solid. Just needed to downsize. I'd buy another Optima in the future without hesitation. Seriously underrated car.
Its a very nice car for the price. When I fist saw it, I thought it was a toyota. I bought 2. One for me and one for my wife. They drive great. I think they are very good value for the money.
The koreans have finally crossed the threshold in car design and reliability to be considered as good alternatives to other main stream car makers. Many people who still rely on dated perception consider korean cars cheap or bad. To those who know better that is actually an advantage as it keeps the prices low. It happened the same way with japanese cars in the mid 70's. Expect korean car prices and resale values to increase over time. China is poised to introduce their cars here.......
I agree with your comment. As far as China is concerned, with all the defective products they have imported to the U.S., I will NOT buy Chinese cars. I care about the lives of the drivers on the road too much to drive a Chinese car.
I think the Korean cars is getting to be better cars than before and this is the proof

Very nice. The car has enough visual interest to attract some attention yet remains understated enough not to look garish.
