  • i have watched this video 27,837 times

  • trying to learn the clipshift and watching you do it depresses me (:

  • any tips for keeping it silent? i know how to do the move

  • this clipshift is sooooo coollll

  • how long does it take to get this good

  • maybe he is chad's brother.. xD

  • That was the best clipshift performed ny anyone in history

  • I just researched and its a FACT that Jordan Lapping is no a real person, he is a machine, how else do ya think he could of making all hes magic and flourishing sooo smooth :P :P

  • Jordan, We were talking about how ridiculously smooth at well, everything you are. By we I mean a buch of people at a dan and dave workshop. I was just wondering how you practice, is it hardcore just with the cards and no movie on etc. or is it while on twitter, watching t.v. etc.

    Thanks

  • @IVIrIVIagic Thank you for the very kind words, that's lovely of you to say! I wish I could have been there, hope you enjoyed the lecture.

I practice just while doing every day activities; I don't necessarily stop what I'm doing to work on a specific move or routine, unless I really want to go into detail with it. If it's merely a matter of doing what I've learned, but over and over again, I'll do it while watching TV, or listening to a podcast - that kind of thing.

    Hope this helps,

    Jordan

  • Fucking nice. I swear to god, looks better than chad's performance.

  • Oh man. This is better than Chad Himself.

  • well its not..thinking about it, i meen if chad made this move i think he is the best because even if you can do it "better" it would not be the same ;)

  • you're sick!!

  • Hi Jordan i am a big fan of ur videos and enjoy watching them everyday. I was wondering where u got ur vintage decks from

    regards,

    aaron

  • You can get then anywhere man

  • Jordan .... you are a good magician :-)

  • hay jordan are you going to dealers day on the 1st?

  • Hi Jordan,

can you do the clipshift surrounded? cos most people are saying that clipshift can only be done from front on, i'm practising it and i can't do it to save my life.

    Nice clipshift btw

  • The ClipShift can be done surrounded. For those who disagree, just as Michael Taylor, Jordan and Chad Nelson.

  • Who is Michael Taylor?

  • He's not a pro or anything, but you may have seen him at MeBeam. He has a crappy webcam, rocks at Truffle Shuffle and always use Bikes.

    Morten

  • how long did it take you to learn it?

  • i wonder how'd u do that.... T_T someday i'm gonna be like u masta

  • jordan, why not try this with the cards inside card case to make it look like it penetrated card case,a sort of outcased effect by peter eggink

  • ooooo u have a vip pass nice lololloll. damn its sooooooooo smooth!!!!

  • ...how does it feel to be smoother than chad nelson on his own sleight? O_o

  • @kkim5000

Chad Nelson is obviously a little bit smoother (with smooth I mean he can do it better). It's at the end his own move.

Jordan covers the card pretty much and shakes the deck pretty much. Chad does it very open and with less shaking. Chad is the founder of the Clipshift, 10 years of practice. Chad is even doing magic for a longer time. You can't compare Jordan to Chad. Show him some respect. But still did Jordan an awesome performance. very good(Y)!

  • hey jordan, i love your videos, your a very talented magician, your clipshift is perfect, mines not quite perfect yet but i would be honored if u would check out the one handed color change i created and let me kno what you think, id appreciate it, have a good one

  • hey jordan, i wanted to ask how long did it take you to learn it?

  • hi jordan!

    you clipshift is soo clean

im just 1 week trainning this move

    just keep in practice...

    greetting from Chile

see some of my vids and subscribe to my channel

    see yaa.

    P.

  • Hi Jordan i am a big fan of ur videos and enjoy watching them everyday. I was wondering is anybody allowed to go 2 blackpool. And where can i find info on it.

  • where did you learn this change did you buy chad nelsons dvd?

  • He learnt it from his friend who learnt it from Chad Nelson.

  • Not bad Jordan, I thought it was pretty good, keep up the good work...

    -Jake

  • could you do this move,say..ten times in a row as smoothley as you did in this video,or can it often go wrong

  • Hi Nathanlulu,

That's very kind of you to say, but smoothness is a very subjective thing - what I find 'smooth' others may find 'not so smooth'. I'm not so sure it's for me to decide, but I do try and make my work as consistant as possible with whatever I choose to practice.

Perhaps some other guys who I've met and have seen me do this countless times, could pitch in?

    Thanks again,

    Jordan

  • but smoothness in magic is instantly recognized by all who watces it,magicians and the laymen.

  • @JordanLapping He could do this ten times in a row easily. :)

  • thats leet stuff man. keep it up.

  • it took jordan 5 months to perfectize it.

    cheers,

    Ase

  • Jordan you are the man. :)

Nothing more to say for you.

So polite can't believe you are only 16.I ever practice harder when I see your videos .

    KEEP

    IT

    UP

  • Jordan, how long did it take you to perfect this move?

  • this video has proven that the amount of practice and effort put in to what ever effect u r doing (or what ever u r doing) can have an Amazing result such as this clip its just inspiring to see something so Amazing.

    Keep up the gd work.

PONYZ----- do not ask y i said that. lolz.

  • Best clipshift ever. Invisible.

  • Hi nathanlulu,

It may seem that way, but the shift uses all fingers of the hand and does indeed take a very long time until you begin feeling comfortable with the move. Chad's DVD teaching this move and many others, can be found at dananddave[dot]com under the title "SURFACED".

Please refrain from posting future comments in regards to exposure; it is not my move to expose and I will remove any comments that aim to do so.

    Cheers,

    Jordan

  • thankyou for replying.its just one sleight i cant figure out.utterly perplexing.

  • i know so much about cards. i don't even need to look at the back of the cards you're using in the video. Vintage Fan back... right?

  • Hi coal1987,

I wish they wee Vintage Fan Backs, but they were actually Bicycle League Backs. To be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of those cards as I personally dislike the back-design; but their quality isn't too bad at all.

    Warm regards,

    Jordan

  • Ownt.

  • Flourishes.

Just kidding. Non of the Trilogy disks teaches the ClipShift. If you want to learn it, go to Dan and Daves website to buy SURFACED.

  • even better than Chad Nelson does it

  • Amazing. Youtube has let you down by placing only 5 stars available for rating.

  • Hey Jordan, can small hand do the clipshift?Because i decided to buy the surfaced DVD.

  • Hey. My hands are 15 cm from wrist to middle finger. I think your hands are bigger than mine. And I can do the Clipshift. :D

  • Is that small? I'm just wondering i haven't measured mine yet. I can do the clipshift without flashing. (Although the noise will deafen you)

    -D

  • Yeah. pretty small. I cannot palm a card. But in some cases, palming with small hands are sometimes practice.

  • All i can say is its beautifully performed. I am amazed everytime I watch one of your videos. Even if I know the trick myself its amazing. Your the main reason i started flourishing and magic. I searched card magic on google and saw that lemon demon was posted and ive been hooked ever since. I have the world progress for quite some time but all i can say is thanks for all your inspiration.

    Eric

  • ♥♦♣♠ A missão do mágico não é fazer o impossível, mas sim provar que ele não existe.

  • Is there any sleight or flourish you can't do? :) That was awesome, you are most talented card magican what i have seen.. Good job!

By the way, i readed somewhere you have really nice pattern to dan and daves trick, queens.

Are you going to post your performance someday?

  • thats the best clipshift ive ever seen. And by far the best on youtube.500/5 -Dakota

  • bastard i bet you do the 26 shift as smooth as this one :)

    cheers,

    Ase

  • That sucked. you damn beard man. go shave youself.

    you hairy boy! :(

    seen it already.

  • LOL, cheers Sjoerd.

Things are a bit uneven now though; I still have yet to see your Clip Shift.. or even your beard. :)

    Talk to you soon,

    Jordan

  • That was fantastic, man. I'm trying to learn this move and having a heck of allot of trouble so far, but this is a nice goal to have.. haha

  • You're my idol, Jordan :D :P

    Awesome performed ;)

  • Jordan.. that was flawless man :D

    Rawsome!

  • then... how is that flawless?

  • AWESOME JOB

  • Hey Jordan, You perform it better than Chad Nelson lol.... don't tell him I said that though.

  • Bro,

I was a bit disapointed when I saw you just did the "normal handling".

I tought you would show our "kung fu cover all angles shaky shaky taste it" handling.

    Anyways, as always, awesome.

    M.

  • Hey Marc,

Shhhhh! I was trying to save that for the next millennium!

    Jordan

  • Hands down, best clipshift I've seen in the world.

  • i wish that the trailer of surfaced had sound, because that easilys rivals chad's and it was so silent, thats the real sign of a good clipshift, great job

    joe

    Cheers,

    ~Chris

  • that was bloody brilliant......i wish i could do that....Chad Nelson i bow down to you.

  • Jordan,

you are one of the best magicians out there. I am a huge fan of all of your work, and I enjoy watching it every day. I hope that you will keep this up for years to come and continue to make many videos of your performances. Even though this is just one little move, coming from you it is just as good and hard hitting as an entire routine.

    Excellent work,

    Brian

  • crazy dude

  • very magical indeed

  • I think that it's safe to say that Jordan Lapping is a robot and will take over the world with his insane skills. On a serious note, IMO, I think you do the Clip Shift better than Chad himself from what I've seen.

  • HOLY SHIT!

i cant do this for my life

    tried. everything messes up

    nice...

even better than D&D in my opinion

  • I had to watch that 5 times before I seen what happened! Again Mr Lapping I haven't a clue how you do it.

  • Excellent work Jordan. You're Clipshift rivals that of Dan and Dave. It's always a pleasure watching your videos.

    David Misner

  • awsome jordan keep it up i like all ur videos

  • Very smooth, man. 5/5 from me

  • Just Jordan

  • very nice....

  • Jordan, buddy - you constantly keep amazing me - even though I've known you for YEARS and seen your progress over the years. I remember when you started working on the clip shift - and how it developed over the couple of years, and until now. Was a joy seeing it live for the first time in February - inspired me to keep working on it myself. Keep up the amazing inspirational work - buddy,

hope we can arrange something for August.

    your friend,

    Allan.

  • Thanks for the words Allan, it certainly does mean a lot. Let's hope there will be many more fun times to come -- and even better ones (if that be possible)!

    Pals for life,

  • very beautiful performance jordan lapping! Have long did it take you to perfect it like that?

  • Thanks a lot fellas. I was a little unsure whether to post it or not, as it really is in all honesty a pointless video. However, it's nice to know that some of you have found it fun to watch.

    Take care,

    Jordan

  • wow, very well done!

out of interest, how did you learn this before it was published?

  • Hi lposrggg,

Thanks a lot for the kind words, I'm happy you enjoyed it!

I learned the Shift from a good friend of mine who has close friendship with Chad and the Twin's. I was lucky enough that he taught it to me, and I've been using the move for around two years -- it's nice that it has finally been published though.

    Warm regards,

    Jordan

    Jordan
