there's a place where u can get your therapy for free in st. louis, for youth 24 and under. also i believe that the name change thing can be taken care of, but you still can't have gender marker changed unless you've had SRS or GCS [top or bottom operation]. good thing i don't have a car or anything to worry about on that end. i take the bus everywhere. but once i get my truck and move to the mountains... different story completely. i'll worry about that bridge when i come to it
IL has it's faults, but at least it's not as hard to transition here as it is in other states. The hardest part is the hoops you have to jump through to get your birth certificate corrected. Name change and getting T is fairly simple.
thanks men i was asking that questions because i'm coming out as trans and i wanna get as much inf. as i can before going to hormones, and one thing that i'm really worry about is money u know the economy sucks and plus i have no insures which i believe is gonna costs me more!.. and thanks for replying...men
It really depends on where you get it from. I have paid $110 for one vial, which is about 20 shots, but the medical center I go through normally gives me a huge discount so I get it for $35 a vial, and when I had insurance I got it for $16 a vial. All of those things play a factor, the pharmacy, the state, the size of your dose. I get a 200ml vial, some guys get smaller vials. My supply lasts me roughly 5 months, if you have a smaller dose it lasts longer, I'm on 1ml a week. Lots of variables.
LOL thanks it's funny how where ever we are we know people from home, and most of us here don't think we have accents...until we hear ourselves on video then we go "whoooooaaaa do I really have that strong of an accent??" Hope you get back soon, safe and sound!! Thanks for watching...
I got my name changed in massachusetts for 25 bucks. just filied.. they just put it in the paper as an announcement... and good to go. 400 bucks? na not in mass.
As I said in the video, it depends on your state, and the laws therein, I'm in Illinois and that is what I had to pay. Which is why I said check your state laws to see what you may end up paying that you didn't expect. This was just my personal experience, not to be used as a rule, but as a guideline of awareness. Thanks for watching.
I understand what your saying. it is good to know. have you changed it on your birth certificate? Im aware that depending on the state its either hurdles... or not even happening.
Oh I had some pretty intense hurdles, even had to talk to Lamda Legal. Yes, my name is changed on my BC, drivers license and social security card. I had to pay to have it changed on my BC, another $15. And my license has male for the gender marker. In Illinois you can't change your gender on your BC until you have had bottom surgery, which must be done in the US at this point. The law doesn't say that, but Illinois is being hardcore about the way the law is interpreted.
