  • yamaha sucks

  • i dont know to much about sleds, but im gonna say thats a yamaha sled, with the r1 motor? if its keeping the skis up that hi in the water, its gotta have some power. usually from what ive seen, as soon as you pul the ski's up to far it just sinks, so this thing must be sick.

    nice sled,nice video.

  • @cobra96svt570 not the one with the r1 motor... thats the rx-1 and its a 4-stroke... this is a 700 tripple i think.... not sure bout the 700 part cant remember right now.... bout the sinking part depends on the sled really.. some will... my rx-1 mountain wont as far as i know yet... and hopefully i wont find out

  • @cobra96svt570 naw thats a 700 tripple motor and its a twin and the rx 1 motor is a 4 stroke

  • can stock snow mobiles do this?

  • @Arthor32 Id say it all depends on what you say is stock, a stock 440? i doubt it, unless the rider is small. But something with 600ccs or more, like a 1000cc sled will have no problem.

  • not bad man

  • nice

  • What did u turn that beautiful sled into...

  • what did you use for cable extensions as far as your park brake carble and possible choke cable .. is your choke mounted under the left handle bar like the 04 vipers?

  • I did not extend my parking brake, I just removed it. My choke cable was located down on the console so I did not need to extend that.

  • guess I just ran into more of a cluster fuck than you did .. lol I'll just remove my park brake as far as choke cable we'll see how I can rig that .. I'm currently making my 04 viper s a 136" long track with 1.5" ripsaw track .. should be a fun project . yamaha triples the way to go man don't ever sell her lol

  • the viper is my favorite sled by yamaha

  • dude can watch this vid all day i love to watch this vid i got a 97 mountainmax skipps pretty good but cant get the front end to lift when ever i want like this guy aha

  • nice sled dude vipers rule

  • im not really a fan of any yamaha sleds except srx 440s and vmax 4s but i have to say thats a sick sled man, sweet vid!

  • hey man i think i am haveing problems with my power vaules ????? how do you adjust them ....she seems slugest at the start any suggestions ????/

  • @700sxviper I sank mine. but you should caulk your belly pan

  • i find mying slips on her belt but i havent crossed very much yet i have inch and 1/4 track on mying what do you think ???? any good

  • you should be fine, just tape up the front end so you don't get water on the belt

  • do you have anything done with this sled as in power adders or is it just a stock sx viper with seat took off and shit i am just wondering casue i have one and plan on skipng water ?????

  • Nothing is done to the motor or clutches. Just had to put on 8 tooth drivers to fit the 2 inch track. I took the seat off because they are a pain to dry out if/when you sink.

  • my buddies viper 700 just blew the motor for the third time 3 years in a row.

  • i got a 1998 vmax that is the same as the viper right

  • i got a ski doo mach z mod racing sled 1000cc

  • Awesome!

  • my sled blew up 2 days ago im jealouse

  • i have a sx viper 700 triple with slp's and custom air box and filter it rips haha

  • bad ass vid man..i dont have a sled but that was awesome!!

  • sickkkkkk.

brandon16balon - your fucking retarded... ddo you think that a sled comes w/o a seat and bike bars like that? and a nessed up hood?

  • Custom BMX bars there bud ???

  • of course

  • Dude thats sick i love how you juiced it and leened back. trust me pipe your sled mines a rocket the single pipe chokes out that bulletproof motor!

  • love the srx my dad used to have one it was the fastest yamaha or any snowmobile i ever rode.

  • did u motifi ur viper

  • nice sled man got the same one lol

only thing is its only got around a 3/4 lug

how far do u think i'd make it??

    its all stock too

anothor thing what else did u do to it before u tried this ???

  • If you had a running start you could probably skip for a while but I would start close to the water. I just put a 2 inch paddle track on it but besides that it is all stock

  • cool i was just curious lol thanks

  • How far would you make it? Till you let off. The record is something like 30 miles. Most of the people that do water drags run 1 inch lug or less. But if you want to lift your skis 3feet off the water you'll need more.

  • cool

  • you need a boat

  • Pretty sick man. Props to ya

  • what cc is that a 700 ??

  • yeah its a 700 triple

  • they are fuckin beasts with pipes!!!

  • then its a srx

  • Comment removed

  • what kind of track are you running?

  • I'm running a 2 x 121

  • nice bicycle handlbars on that shit bro that sick watercrossing for that triple how bad is that for the sled

  • its acually not bad

  • which snowmobile is it

  • Nice

  • yea how do u get it out though like drag it with a boat ?

  • we pick it up off the bottom and then motor it back to shore with our boat really slow. When you get shallow enough you just hop out and drag it the rest of the way

  • what if he swamps it in the middle of the lake that would suck

  • It has happened three times to me. You just pull it out and get all the water out and start it up to burn off the rest of the water

  • i have the same sled but a 141" track with 2 1/4 paddles they skip really nice and i was skippin mine across some lakes they go really well on the water

  • What kind of track is that?

  • its a 121" 2 inch paddle track

  • isn't the viper harder to get running again if you swamp it since its a 4 stroke.

  • the viper isn't a 4 stroke, it was one of the last 2 strokes yamaha made

  • thats a badass ride

yamaha rocks dude i got the

    same kind of viper

and im goin to skip it this summer

    cant fuckin wait

  • that one cool sled fast to what kind of sled is that ?

  • Yamaha VIper

  • hey did u tune it up ?

  • Rly nice video! :) 5/5

  • Nice skipping :)

  • i have an old 1982 ski doo scandic i think its 380cc it can do 65 mph it has more power than speed could it do this or would it sink

  • Basically anything will skip water if you have enough speed. You just won't be able to keep going for very long. you could probably skip water for about 50 yards at the most

  • are your limiter straps loosened at all??? i was wondering if i should do that with my 440 SP

  • I didn't adjust my limiter strap for skipping but I'm not sure where they were set before I started. I would imagine your 440 would do just fine. If it has a 1.75 inch track though you might start to bog down after a while because the paddles pick up some water too and trap it in the tunnel

  • ya im going to take off my sno flap and that should help a bit... i know what you mean.. is ur viper stock? or does it have any mods?

  • My viper is totally stock except for the 2 inch track and 8 tooth drivers.

  • I accidently hit remove instead of reply to your last one, whoops. My new top speed is probably around 80-90 on hard pack. Before I would easily see over 100 on the speedo

  • lol its all good..i know u dont appreciate my comments!!! ya but i bet it gets there like a bat out of hell!!! thats maybe around the same speed as my 440.. a little bit more power though ;).. my sp has 20 46 gears i dont know if i should change them for some speed or just leave them kuz i like the power???

  • I would say just leave them. I have a 440 as well right now and I absolutely love the quickness and the power. A 440 will stick with any other sled to 65-70

  • depends on your track too. what lugs do you have?

  • agreed but u still need the power to back it up!!

  • thats so sick man reminds me of me on my f7 firecat i got a vid of me water skiping i will try to put it on

  • oh lmao gotcha man lol personally i think this song works better with the video lol good vid man

  • thanks, its hard to find a good song because Youtube doesn't have a very large selection

  • oh ya lol do you still have your viper just wondering how big of a track you got on that thing lol because theres some guys here in barrie that use polaris IQ's and those things are good on the water too lol they really skip good

  • I put a 2 inch track on it, everything else is stock. I get some really funny looks when people see the short track viper with a 2 inch track on it. When I'm in powder the skis almost never touch. I'm looking at getting an IQ this summer though

  • actually the song is called Shadows by 12 stones good tune

  • It was Slipknot but Youtube made me change it.

  • Viper is so awsome sled :D happy sledding or skipping :D

  • nice vid.. nice sled

  • sick viper man

  • sick viper man

  • dam thats hard on a sled when all you do with it is watterskip and drive on mud

  • its not as hard on it as you would think. It decreases you bearing life but thats about it. I also ride that sled in the winter.

  • nice man cant wait to get out on my viper and do some skippin gotta love the vipers tho you cant beat the sound of a yamaha tripple

  • what song?

  • It starts out with Tenacious D then Duality by Slipknot

  • i just bought an 04 viper s.....just wonderin what track your runnin and if you did anything to the torsion bars to help it catty like that?

  • everything is stock on mine except I had to get 8 tooth drivers instead of the stock 9 tooth to fit the 2 inch track. I'm not sure where the torsion bars are set but it only wheelies when I want it to, it still handles great on the trails

  • dont mean to bug ya, but what kinda speed did yo lose with the new drive gears? and what did you need for cable extensions on the risers?

i'm still learnin the little tricks with the yammy's....its a big stretch goin from a domestic polars twin to an import triple

  • I lost about 8-10 on top end but that is partly due to the larger track, more weight to spin. I got longer cables from Gravity Worx Racing. They are braided and really nice. You will love the power and sound compared to you twin, the vipers are very quick too

  • awsome vid, whats this song called?

  • the first song is a little bit of Tenacious D then its Slipknot's Duality

  • finally someone who's proofing to those ski-doo freaks that yamaha fucking rock on water. Thanks for the video you just made my day.

  • hell yes

  • is that a long track?

  • nope, just the stock 121

  • snowmobiles are not made to go on water unless you have floaties and waterproof motor bottom feader

  • are you retarded?

  • haha, u need to get your facts lined out, sleds go just as good on water .

  • holy fuck this sled is good

  • o well i didn't know, i never rode one but i want to

  • you've never ridden a sled? Your missing out

  • dude that shit is ill, nice sled. You should put a rudder on the rear for more control in water

  • you don't need a rudder, you just lean like you would in deep powder

  • slipknot - duality.. DEADLY tune

  • name of song?

  • A little bit of Tenacious D at the beginning then Duality by Slipknot

  • yeah they work great

  • Those are bike handlebars, I didn't have the money at the time to get risers and nice bars

  • nice... u make it look easy

  • bad ass vid man.

  • ok i checked it out. they have 136 in 16". thanx man

  • i would think wiith your old track that you would have trouble with a 800 renegade. Maybe it would depend on who ever got the hole shot......

  • It was all based on the holeshot. I actually would take him top end but thats only cause he has more track to turn. Midrange we were dead even

  • yeah my 800 gade tops out at like 110 stock. What did your 700 used to do?

  • well I have had the speedo to 128 but that isn't even close. If your renegade does 110 then my viper probably did around that. I don't know for sure.

  • When i put a 1.75" track on my sled we should race. I think it would be a good race. Well once you repair you sled that is....

  • peter?

  • i was just going to keep you in the dark and toy with you .lol but yeah. Still love this vid tho. Out of all the ones we put together this is my fav.

  • I get the renegade but what is with the 34rev?

  • i tryed renegade34 but it was taken i guess thats what it said so i just added the rev at the end. 34 was my old basketball #

  • gotcha, I can't wait to get the viper back together and skip some water

  • yeah i want to see how my sled skips when i get that 1.75" on there. should be sweet. Got to get that riser on there to. Pisses me off that i can't find a 16" wide track tho. It comes with a 16" wide you think they would make more aftermarket tracks that wide

  • I think you can fit a 15 wide, maybe. Don't take my word for it but check around

  • I know i can put a 15 wide on there but why shouldn't i beable to have another 16 thats 1.75" just pisses me off. i got to find one

  • you didn't look very hard. Tracks USA under Cross Country, the Challenger Trail 1.75, 16 wide - 137 long - 1.75 deep. Says its Skidoo OEM. Your Welcome.

  • but i have a 136

  • I am pretty sure that is what you want

  • whats the name of the song

  • duality by slipknot

  • yah i seen it but were would u get a new 1 bcz i looked all over the yamy sites and i found nothing

  • umm no its ok for now but uh what kinda power do the new vipers have bcz in your videos i seen it looks like its got some

  • Its got great power. With my old track I could beat my buddies 800 Rev Renegade. With the 2 incher I can stand it on the tail for as long as I want. Check out the viceo Viper Wheelie. Thats the new track

  • i live in denare beach saskatchewan

  • I could get it to Duluth

  • yah well iam gonna get back to u then bcz ill try and lokate another motor and what year is your viper

  • Its an 03, where are you? I might be able to meet you somewhere.

  • where r u located on the map

  • I am in Three Lakes, WI. I found out that the mountain max is a different motor and the cylinder and piston won't work

  • its a triple isnt it bcz i got pistons and cylinders for a 700 mountian max

  • yeah, those should work. Its got a 2 inch track on it and the hood is custom painted and I have an 8 inch pivot riser on it with Gravity Worx braided cables

  • how much u asking $

  • I am asking 2000 but it needs a cylinder and a piston

  • wicked!!! do you have any problem's with overheating from the taped up vents?.

  • I had the gauge pod removed so that let alot of heat escape. I never had any problems with it overheating

  • were would i find a sled like that

  • you won't. I haven't met anyone yet that has put a 2 inch track on a viper. You would have to do it yourself, unless you want to buy mine.

  • Really nice did you do somme work to your viper to protect the belt from water ???

  • just duct tape over the vents

  • nice man. thats the best viper i seen. was that one of the sno cross sleds or did u swap out the rear suspension?

  • Thanks, that is the stock rear suspension, the only thing I have done to it is put a two inch track on it.

  • very nice when your on the pond and the viper just starts to rise up out of the water =)

  • Good vid and nice cat walks on water

  • thanks

  • I pulled the spark plugs and pulled her over about 250 times and got her running asap

  • hey i was wondering how u gfot the water out of your motor

  • I just did the other day

  • shit dude id be fukin scared to sink my sled lol
