  • Best old days

  • This is better than the computer DOS version, there isn't even any sound, or hardly any at all.

  • I just played this on the PC and there's a major bug at the end. The Skorl can't leave the dining room in the castle, he gets stuck as he tries to leave and you have to just be lucky and run past him. Ratpouch also gets stuck and frozen in the room where the sewer pipe is. Anyone else have this problem?

  • 20 years ago, I got as far as the skulls. Loved the game though.

  • omg childhood attacks

  • The GOG version of this game is bugged; near the end, the Skrol will not leave the dining hall for any reason.

  • So you get two companions along the way - a guy and boy.

Were the creators of this game gay or something? I mean seriously...

  • @ErikaCn100 You hang out with a chick for a while.

  • when 512 k was more than enough

  • wtf how did he get a hour and a half video uploaded?

  • @tjhall1000

    Read our channel FAQ :)

  • This was the best graphic adventure engine ever. The NPC artificial intelligence was very advanced, the characters actually moved around the map and you was able to follow them (and also able to loose them if you were not fast enough). It was like a small persistent world.

It's a real pity that there were no more games done with this engine. And this one, the only one, is a very short adventure. Can be finished very fast.

  • @Ferkiwi Beneath A Steel Sky used the same engine, but the pathfinding routines were simpler due to the game's size.

@TJae1 I think LOTT was a 1-Meg game (a lot of them were by 1994), but it's impressive nonetheless.

To bad I never got through it :/

  • this game was amazing, played this on the atari st, good memories.

  • Seeing what the Amiga version looks like, I wonder how they managed to f*ck up the PC version so badly :(

  • Played this on the PC. I did manage to beat it but the bit in the cellar has constantly annoyed me on the replay.

  • Only the Nintendo DS has replicated these kinds of memories (not this game but there are a lot of classic style games and and work well with the touch pad).

  • Wow, I can't believe how close I was to completing this game! I got killed by the Skorl in the cellar.

  • One of the most underrated adventure games.

The "Virtual Theatre" system was incredible and as close to artificial intelligence in a game I'd ever seen.

  • and "beneath a steel sky" game too, they are great group.

  • old games has soul, with great atmosphere they made us playing games for hours, weeks and even years.

i cant find any such unique soul or atmosphere in new games
