I have mixed feelings regarding the latest development. On one hand, the development provides a much needed revenue stream to the city. On the other, its nice to have open space. This piece of land is not what nature created. What we have is what Chevron left after a hundred years of desecrating the hills. Its not pristine land nor is it usable in its current state. I have a feeling I wont have access to this land whether its built or not.
Great video. It is sad that people just want to develop every open space we have left. Natural SoCal is not just weeds & fire hazards. Before all the development it was beautiful here. Coyote Hills looks nice, think I will join their hike this Sat March 14th, I'd love to see it. Build baby build! Any of these cities ever consider our quality of life? We don't need densely populated cities--and we don't have enough water for the homes we already have. Please help save Coyote Hills!

It's a bunch of weeds and rocks...a fire hazard. An ugly remnant with no ecological value. It's prime real estate and it's highest and best use for the benefit of humans is to be developed. If you want to keep it as open space, then buy it. It's private property and you should be able to do whatever you want with it.
I found this video, because the same thing is happening to a Coyote Hills here in Fremont CA. Wetlands here will soon be 900 homes and a lighted playing field, The owners have already made 63 million and they can;t donate a few more acres to the park. Its a crime and i am disgusted.
Thanks for creating this - why more people are not tearing their hair out and screaming at the council over this, the most important issue facing our city's future, is beyond me. The Developers will be filling campaign coffers again this year. Let's show Dick Jones and Sean Nelson the Door. A big "F You" to the greed heads is helping to get those two off the council. Thanks again -- good job.
The Oil Companies suck. Big Brother come home to roost. They can all rot in hell -- preferably in some sub-division with homes 5' apart and no trees. Bastards.
It shows the great contrast between what open space we have left... and what has already been developed. Don't let them build on our only virgin soil.
Study in contrasts! hectic vs peaceful, noisy vs quiet, b&w vs color, ugly vs beauty. I'm 1 among naturalists/guides on monthly hike. I encourage ANY in SoCal to come bike/hike this precious gem of open space. Then tell Fullerton city council to leave it open!
This is perfect for my land conservation debate topic!
