  • Hi, i tried to change both the top screen and the shell because of a broken hinge. Now my DS doesn't start. When turning on, only the bottom screen turn on for about 2 seconds and then the whole system turns off. what could be wrong?

  • @sesaruoosama First thing to do, Check all your connections if its properly connected. If nothing happens, Both top and bottom lcd's might be the problem. It needs replacement. Please visit our website. We do have the parts that you need in order to repair your system. Just search for nintendo repair shop on google for our store.

  • thank you for your advice. i triple checked all the connections 9didn't realise about the white line to start with) and nothing, so i bought a new top screen ribbon cable from ebay and it now works perfectly!

  • @hfcatherine1 That's great! If you have any other concern. You can always visit our website. Thanks for viewing!

  • thanks for the video - done it all! i replaced the shell because my daughter broke the hinge, it was fully working apart from this. but now when i switch it on, both screens are stripey although i can hear that little tune when it starts up. any ideas?

  • @hfcatherine1 Have you tried checking the connections? Make sure its properly connected.

  • @hfcatherine1 It can be the screen cable. Try to check if its properly seated completely inside its port on the main board. Are the screens flickering?

  • @nintendorepair hey you know the really small ribbon cable the small place you have to slide it in it accidentally came off do you have any idea how I should fix that please reply

  • Thanks for the video, but didn't like that a bunch of stuff didn't make it in the camera shot.

  • @fugazi0311 We tried to make it simple as much as we can. Anyway, Thanks for viewing!

  • @nintendorepair I ordered a new shell a couple days ago. I'll definitely be referring back to this video. ^.^

  • @fugazi0311 Let me know if there will be issues. Thanks for viewing.

  • @nintendorepair Now that you mention it, I did run into problems and ended up just buying another DS. I think I squeezed one or more of the LCD ribbons too hard when I was re-assembling it. I didn't understand how to put the small ribbons back in until after I wrestled with it. (T-T) Plus I broke the back battery cover by trying to screw it in too tight. lol Alas, such is life...

  • You forgot to mention that the screws are REALLY REALLY hard to get out.. :s

  • @RacieB It would be easier if you have the right tools. Like for example the Triwing screwdriver. It really helps a lot. We have it on our website. Thanks for viewing!

  • @RacieB Please press down firmly to make sure he has good contact with the screw head.

  • Anyone buy one of the shells from this website? I want to get a new shell for my original DS because it's gotten beat-up. A white or black one would be cool , but I want a clear one the most. Does anyone know where to buy a see-through one?

  • @JonnMcNally hey there. Unfortunately I don't think anyone is still making clear cases for the original ds. However we do offer a high quality replacement case for a good price. Let us know if we can help you out.

  • do you ship to canada

  • @flamesgm We do ship to Canada! Canadians are some of our best customers actually.

  • @nintendorepair Thank you because My NES has broken

  • @flamesgm If your NES has broken, were you able to get it working again? We actually specialize in all kinds of Nintendo Repair products and services, and have a great kit that works to fix roughly 90-95% of all NES systems.

  • @nintendorepair Thanks
