Interesting. Syd was not all there when he was writing this and you can hear it in the song. Sad he went crazy.

yeah that's what makes this song seem very..... I guess empty would be a good word. Very beautiful song though regardless. Syd was too much of a genius for his own good that he went a little overboard.
