I own a Roleplaying website however yesterday i received great and unexpected news from god. Please everyone, i'd appreciate it if you could pray for me because this opportunity is great. I said to god "Lord, if this is your will. I leave this entirely up to your hands."
However i'd appreciate it if you could pray for me, Because without him i would've been a lost shepherd. And although i can't explain how things went, i'd appreciate the prayers from everyone.
I just found out this past week that she got married earlier this year.What a disappointment for a 46 yr old guy who has kept himself for his future bride. I know that God is provident over life.It would have been a great testimony,but I guess marrying a musician would make more sense!!! Is there a girl/woman who loves Jesus as Master? Someone who likes to break the status quo in business(entrepreneur) and likes Idea men.
Yes; she married in April of this year! Her entire family is blessed to be a blessing! My niece is married to her brother Luke. They are authentic Christians!
It's a shame that popular Christian music does not lift up the name of Jesus like it did in the 1980's 90's and the early part of this decade. I can remember Petra, Bloodgood, Saint, Messiah Prophet, Jerusaleam, Barren Cross and many others.And I realize she is a different genre of music. I am just giving examples. I am not putting her down as she does have a great voice and a good message, but it seems that salvation through Jesus is not as straight forward in todays christian music.
@Smartguy561 Today's bands such as Skillet, P.O.D, Red, Thousand Foot Krutch, Pillar, Flyleaf, 12 Stones, etc. are trying not to stuff the name Jesus down their throats because their target audience is the secular world. They are trying to attract them with music that sounds great. If you listen to the lyrics carefully, these bands are lifting up the name of Jesus even though they aren't saying His Name. So I wouldn't worry too much about it because God is using them for a great purpose. :)
@JixGold Wrong. They don't talk about Jesus because they are trying to be like the world. you can't be preaching the gospel and be ashamed of Jesus. You can't lift up Jesus and leave out his name. An example is Miss Angie's song Lift My Eyes Up. Lift your eyes up to whom? This is a copout and an excuse. I have seen documentaries and interviews with POD They admitted to drinking, having sex with girls and things like that. Your goal in preaching the gospel is souls saved not popularity.

So they aren't ashamed at all. If you are going to judge Miss Angie's "Lift My Eyes Up", then argue against the WOW Hits group because that song happens to be in the WOW Hits 1998 DVD. Anyway, I didn't come to argue. I just wanted to say that today, there are still Christian artists out there spreading the word of God.

They may talk about their testimonies in an interview, but It is isn't right to give a testimony in an interview to christian people and then leave it out of the music that the world sees. @JixGold Most of the time those interviews are done by Groups (like the 700 Club) and viewed by christian people. The secular world will not see them. Jesus said that if we lift him up he will draw all to him. This is about as rediculous as secular people like Kyane West thanking God but not have a relationship with him and the fruit of the music contradict it. Yes there are christian artists still proclaiming the word of God, but for the most part not in this genre.

@JixGold No, that is not what I am saying. The secular media is not editing out their testimonies. They are not giving their testimony. They are intentionally hiding it from the secular media. For them Christianity is just a label. The majority of christian artists and bands in the rock/pop Genre have switched to the secular side not to spread the gospel, but for money fame and fortune. It is a false testimoney that they show, having a form of Godliness but denying the power as the apostle said.
@Smartguy561 There have been songs in the past where, in order to play on secular radio, the songs have been altered. Between You and Me by dc Talk, for example.

I saw your point about modern bands and such and I agree, totally. But I don't feel like Rebecca St James fits into that standard. Here she says she found the holy light, a hope she cannot hide. She says there's one who reached across the distance from the heavens to the earth because he loves you. It's not ambiguous, I feel that is straightforward.

So many songs on this album are techno, unlike Rebecca's norm. With the exception of Wait for Me, and one or two more songs, this album was her techno album! I like her norm better!

i was very blessed to be part of the load in crew for the show she did at my church (The Gathering Place, Auburndale Florida) as part of the Wait For Me: Worship God tour. she was very very cool to talk to! and her sound and lighting guys were the best to work with!
