dnt smoke but i will say that is a very good way to show people how vacum pressure works, id do this with 2 of them colored smoke and have it so when its done the cold aire from water pushes the smoke back out a secondary release

I like the plug you used in the bottom for the hole, but why use a glass drill bit? (I forgot what they are actually called, masonry bit or something along those lines) what I thought was part of the point of using a Sobe bottle was the ability to use a screwdriver (I used a punch and a hammer.) to jam through the weakest point in the bottom. I have a berry sparkling lemonade 33oz bottle that is curved, sort of. I have a Sobe as well. I personally prefer my steam roller.

@69avocado Well, glass drill bits and masonry bits are actually two entirely separate bits. I used a glass drill bit because it was simply easier that way. I know you could use a screwdriver or whatever, but then you risk breaking the bottle as a whole, and that just won't do. Whereas the screwdriver method could take 5 seconds and risk breaking the bottle, this method takes about 5 minutes, gives me a uniform hole, and doesn't risk breaking the glass.

The glue doesn't combust or melt. It's got covalent network bonds, meaning it'll have to reach about 2000 to 3000 degrees before anything starts to deteriorate.

I built it more for the principles of the physics behind it than its actual use.
